Since 1990, I had at least one console from each gen fail on me, had 3 Ps2s, 2 360s, 3 Ps3s, 1 Ps4, 1 N64, 3 Nes, 1 GameCube, 2 og Xboxes, no handhelds fail though 🤔 But since 2017, l started on pc and had none fail since and took up the hobby in fixing retro consols 😊

Liquid metal and easy to open and clean, PS5 changes the game, I have a PC to and it's much easier to clean but when the PS5 came out it changed the game completely for console longevity, have had mine since launch day, dusted under the panels once every 6 months, works fine, having said that my 4070 is very good to but I hate online going on PC, too many cheaters.

I preferred gaming on consoles because I like playing on the TV. However, two years ago I bought a PC and a wireless mouse and keyboard. I plugged it into my TV and have never looked back. I use Steam's big picture mode and my controller to play games on my TV. I have found that the gaming experience on my PC is better than it ever was on a console. No comparison

@@REXae86 What Input Lag? The Xbox PC Wireless Dongle runs the same high bandwidth connection that the consoles do, and PS5 uses BlueTooth. So it's the exact same "Input lag" as a console. If you're worried about input lag, you're not gaming casually.

We all saw that one light years away. I like my My Switch, old consoles like my PSP, DSi XL, and my mighty PlayStation 2, and stuff. But don't tell me he's badmouth PC gaming like a unlikable schmuck.

That unboxing point… I cannot describe how stoked I was when I bought my 3090 ti. The guy at Best Buy said they might’ve had one in stock in the back. So he asked if I wanted to check and I said “alright sure if it isn’t too much of a hassle”. So he gets back to me and says “here we go” and I thought “well, these things are pretty hard to get a hold of currently.. may as well.” So, I bought it, and my gaming experience has been incredible since. The last time my house had a computer in it was 2000-2001. So when I built my PC in 2020 it felt so unreal. Then a year later (or 2022, I forget) I upgraded to a 3090 after using a 1060. I still have the box for the 3090; it reminds me I was able to treat myself after months of financial troubles.

Keep the box for any of your PC Parts for the length of their warranties. In case you need to do an RMA and getting a serial number from the box is much easier than taking the component out of your PC, especially the CPU. :) I hope you enjoy your time with your 3090ti!

I feel like trying to play the fair game between console and PC just leads to dishonesty. You are going to have to reach to find reasons consoles are better, and those reasons are generally very unique to a very small percentage of people. For the vast majority of people getting a PC will provide a better gaming experience.

Also, just the other day, I built a new PC from some spare parts I had from upgrades in the past. I had everything but the case, which I bought for less than $100. This PC is now plugged into my TV and I’m using it for Wii emulation, using the Mayflash dolphin bar, with real Wii remotes, and Steam big picture. It’s got a 3060 and an Intel 8700.

@@Chasodey I would highly recommend the 3060, it’s a really good card. But I wouldn’t go out and buy an 8700 on the market right now because you can get a better CPU for much cheaper. I only used it because it was already in my possession and I’ve had it for a long time. If you can get a preowned Rysen 3600 for ~$75, you’d get close performance to an 8700.

In my own personal experience PC gaming is a MASSIVE headache. It took me more than half a year to get modded Skyrim to work on my new laptop. It works now, but my save files still tend to get corrupted every now and then.

If it's a battle of looks in my opinion isn't the typical glass side panel pc more eye candy than a grey brick eith a logo on it?

Some time ago I tried to limit games I play to "cinematic" 30 FPS using Riva Tuner SS. It was making me dizzy. I installed RTSS on my girlfriend's PC without telling her and she immediately started to complain something is wrong with her games. She doesn't appreciate the next gen experience.

Unboxing only makes sense to me in one way. If I'm deciding between say Xbox or PS5 and one comes with something significant that the other didn't, like a free game. Otherwise, who cares?

Lets be honest, majority of people will either do two things with their boxes: 1. Throw them away or 2. Just store them in a closet and never see them until they need it again.

"Power my dreams" you say? I don't think an XBax can get me a loving wife who stands by my side.

Hoping to get a PC this year and I may look for a prebuilt since you make a good point about most PC players not upgrading, I’m finding my Xbox great for backwards compatibility.

If you were comparing consoles to PC he could have chose anything but an Xbox. Gamepass ultimate and a PC is basically having an Xbox unless you have friends on Xbox you can't play with without it.

Some of them genuinely do have nice boxes. Dreamcast and MegaDrive, the 3DS. Though my components have them too. Ryzen boxes are snazzy as heck, The Arc A380 I possess has a super nice box; simple but smart. The case boxes are nothing to write home about mind you, but at least I can sit in it, so I suppose that's cool?

The problem with consoles? They became too much like PCs. I have a PS4 with a bad hard drive and a Xbox one X with a bad power supply, all the problems I didnt have with my SNES and Sega Genesis

personally i feel like the perfect way to get into pc gaming is to either get a steam deck or rog ally both have console modes so they are not forced to only use the pc mode but they still have all the benfits of pc gaming such as you can play diffrent games go on the webb do video edititing or homework {note i personally do not own a steamdeck or rog ally though but i feel like it still something to consider if anyone wants to dip their toes in pc gaming then you should try it with a steamdeck if you can affored it} + another benfit with pc gaming is emulation you can play any game you want without having it to be on multple devices and you can use any controller of your choosing if their is any negtives i would say pc gaming can be a bit annoying at times such as trying to look for the best programs for certain things which might seam intimdating to new people and sometimes trying to play certain games and graphics settings some might say what are you talking about but i am just trying to say for some the comfort of just pressing a buttom and boom everything just works compared to pc you have to look at specs optimzations etc sometimes games work better with mods but that might seam scary for new people as they might not want to mess around with things in case they mess things up big time etc these are all things to consider and really its down to the consumer on what they what. but any way i am going to stop typing as this is becoming a reddit commit lol

I’m just here to comment that quick resume on the Xbox is absolutely amazing. The one thing that pc can’t do. Once you’ve had it it’s hard to go without it.

I just got deja vu and have no idea why

I used to play some low end games on PC 15 or so years ago. But always had a console and gravitated towards that. The last decade or so I’ve wanted to try pc gaming but it was never a big desire. Recently a buddy got into it and enjoys it which lit a fire under me to want one even more. I started researching and it is overwhelming. While I see the benefits of pc and console I just can’t seem to make a decision. I already have the Xbox series X which I do enjoy. Just turn it on and go. I haven’t played super often the last few years, usually just the weekend cod or battlefield online play. Keyboard and mouse has always interested me and I believe could be superior for the games I like to play. If I could build a PC for $500 and it he a realistic competitor then I would do it regardless just to see but knowing that it pretty much has to be $1-1500 and being that I don’t typically half ass anything has me pumping the brakes. It’s such a tough decision.

Unlike lots of broken consoles, since when did PC's break? PC's are timeless and is an investment that lasts for a very long time. Some even use the 10 year old GTX 1080 TI. PC's cost more, but you always get over 60 FPS in any game. On top of it charity bundles, game dumping etc. pays back your PC. Don't forget a PC can do 1 million things a console can't do.

I just recently upgraded from my PC running with a 980 TI, and not because it doesn't work, that machine is still a solid gaming rig for a lot of what I play, it just can't do max settings in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440.

9:15 I don't think key resellers are a great point tbh. Multiple devs have claimed that they'd rather a user pirate than do this. Competition between launchers often keep prices lower anyway tho.

1) Graphics are only the cherry on top and little else. Seriously a PC could have half the graphical performance of a console and I would still pick the PC every time... why? My control over my library of games, how I play anything in it, and my ability to control how long they last means SO MUCH MORE then the graphics behind it. 2) He compared... the PACKAGING? 3) Even if you take his splitscreen argument at face value.... there ARE ways to make local coop happen anyway, dividing the screen between two instances for you and your friend. To go back to point 1, YOU are in control. It's just up to you to find a way and take it. 4) 30 second difference in boot time? Is he using a mechanical hard drive?!?!? 5) ease of use is a dumb argument.... Steam pretty much is the easiest way to do anything. 6) Im actually going to defend the guy's graphic take... he basically binned both views in turn. It's just a shame so many care so strongly about "mah gwafix". 7) But the 60 FPS is a lie on console... they are still saying "30 is ok" to this day for a reason. 8) He DID bring up cheaper games... he didnt go deep down the rabbit hole, but... he did talk about it. 9) He's not wrong... I don't even care about performance for upgrades... just the urge to build.... it's a real thing and it is addicting. XD (Not complaining... love the hobby) Overall this is a garbage vid... gotta agree... barely touched on just what the difference is.

If you want a great unboxing experience on PC you can get it on PC. Origin has a literal wooden box, and many Prebuilts have keyboard and mouse and a great unboxing experience. Give me a break!

PC's come in four forms of customization you cannot get on a console. Prebuilt, if you choose right performs better than a console and can have interchangable parts* D.I.Y., which performs better than a console and will look better and has interchangable parts Laptop, which performs like a console and looks better and does not have interchangable parts, and Handheld, which is better than the switch currently but slightly less powerful than a traditional console. Find what you want and get a PC.

That comment section is absolutely horrendous and that's still somewhat of an understatement. It's pretty much the same intelligence level as twitter users. A guy in his comment section said that the difference between a ps5 or series x combined with a high end 4k tv is negligible compared to the highest end pc on the market, probably with a 4090 and a I9 or Ryzen 9 X3D. He didn't say a 4090 or that kind of processor, but that's just the highest end pc on the market rn. Probably one of the dumbest takes I've ever heard😭

Honestly it depends on what you are looking for its the same way of choosing an iphone or android or mac or pc everything has their pros and cons for example if there is a pc fan boy here tell me which pc laptop is as powerful and power efficient as a MacBook

Personally, I've never had an interest in going for the absolute best graphics, maybe because I grew up in an era where pixels dominated the gaming landscape? Raytracing is some mystic bullshit that companies slap on games to claim they're better because I said so, as far as I'm concerned... Also, what if I'm not into LED lights all over my tower? Well, you're not required to have RGB I have very little RGB on my TV PC yet lots on my other desktops. But besides PCs having great graphics and framerates you also get more choice. You can use any controller, mouse/keyboard, or racing wheel you want. Play any game from any era. Mods are nice if you're into that kind of thing. I generally will do graphic enhancement mods in some games (you can make Cyberpunk look nearly photo-realistic) just as an example.

I don't get the analogy. Is PC the Ferrari? Because CONSOLES win GOTY every year, have the best looking games every year, have the better online, local multiplayer, physical games, better OS. I don't like the argument for "future proofing" regarding PC's anymore. Just a little over 3 years ago, the RTX 30xx series released, with the 3090 being the luxury, OP, "future-proofing," card that barely anyone could afford. The 3080 was the 4k card, and the 3090 was the overkill, best of everything card. Now here we are today, and people are calling the $600 - $700 RTX 4070 Super a "1440p card." Why is that important? Because in nearly all benchmarks, the 4070 Super is tied or close with the 3090 in performance across most games, and even more so when using DLSS. So you're telling me that spending $1500 - $2000 on a GPU is only good for "future proofing" me for 3 years?! In the span of one console generation, we'll have the 30xx, 40xx and 50xx series of cards, and each time the goalposts will move for what's considered a true "4k card," despite devs prioritizing a stagnant target (the consoles). I no longer buy into the "future proofing" argument. I'm still going to get the 4070 Super & play at 4k, despite what others in the community say. I'm fine with High settings & DLSS, but I'm done chasing this never-ending money sink to try & hit 60 fps at 4k.

A PC can be built for less than a console. If you can snap Legos together, use a screwdriver, and plug things into a wall socket... you can build a PC. The motherboard comes with picture based instructions...

The moment someone says "this video is sponsored by" I just sort of zone out and don't believe a word they say. You aren't going to get any form of criticism about that product from those videos.

It's tragic, I have a 5800X3D and an RTX 4070 but fallout 4 is far more stable on PS5 so I play it there for hundreds of hours.

As a Console player predominantly, as I only recently got my pc and haven't played anything really big for pc due to reasons Yeah no, "nicer boxes" has the same energy as "my dad works for Konami and can get you Yu-Gi-Oh card banned"

I try PAL world in Xbox Series X, but could not play more than 10 minutes. Back to PC PAL-world with RTX 4900. Could not play it that Xbox framerate... Opening RTX 4900, with mousepad, standing for card end preventing sacking. Feel much better than Xbox Series X with gamepad. Then there was unboxing other components lets leave it that.. Offcourse playing very demaning game like Cannon Fodder from 1993 that Beast PC is must. Can console play 1990 games.

I hate the bios update argument, I had to update my bios only once ever and comparatively recent. it was a h77 board, which is a 12 year old board. Try to keep a console relevant in the modern sense for that long.

Well in my opinion all my PCS look better to me than my Series X or PS5.

What is it with these console people? Everyone knows PC is always the better experience and that’s why you pay more upfront. To already be on PC and make a video advocating for consoles is just straight up fake as fuck. This is why I don’t trust any content creators but they are mostly mouthpieces for whoever sponsored them.

The issue is that he does not want to crap on the consoles or PC very hard, so he makes it as middle of the road as possible. But to steelman console gamers, there are some good or at least valid reasons. Like consistency. But it seems they are really poorly represented.

4k 60fps on console is the biggest joke ever. A guy tried to argue about that with me the other day. He posted a paid for Xbox article that supposedly listed a bunch of Xbox games that pulled it off. The very first one was Armored Core 6... Which mind you can run 4k 60fps in graphics mode on Xbox, but only when looking at the floor or sky. As soon as you look at anything in game, fuck your frame rate. Also the loser in question claimed to be a PC gamer. Is that the latest thing, claim to do the thing you are hating on and then lie?

You are missing the point. He got Best Buy pre-built. Have you seen Gamers Nexus video on those? Xbox is a safer bet in this case.
