Just keep in mind guys ,Aerosoft is a publisher, not a developer. The developers are Simula Games, and they're very responsive to the needs of their communities. We don't have any good truck simulations on consoles, so this one is the best for me.

So does this developer have control over the console port? Because other game devs that use aerosoft do not have that control and aerosoft refuses to fix games after maybe 3 or 4 patches. Fernbus on console is a mess and TML claim that they have no control over the console ports and that's all aerosoft. So that's the issue with these ports, if the devs don't control it and it's all on aerosfoft then this game will be like all the rest

Damn this looks great! It has wheel support, fov and seat position sliders. On The Road and Truck Driver need to take note THIS is how you do a trucking game and with only 5 members on the team those other dev teams have no excuses

For a core team of 5 developers not a bad effort

I am happy to hear that the team is working on porting (for the lack of better word right now) to as many gaming platforms as possible. And great to hear wheel support is included (my comment of certain other game/studio and their comments on wheel support. BTW I wonder on the status of the Going North dlc status on that game, but it's neither here nor there, we are talking about Trucks and Logistics here) Now for the future of Trucks and Logistics maybe next step would be looking into potential improvements/optimization between the platforms as well as map expansion (wouldn't surprise me if it will be dlc based) extra cargoes (it is somewhat basic but I like the loading aspects of the cargo) unloading of the cargo and getting more vehicles and definitely trying to get as many licenses as possible and maybe even being able to get out of the car and walk to either cars/vehicles that need to be loaded or to loading equipment and being able to secure the cargo and connect the trailers to the pulling vehicle. Otherwise I also say that for the price of the game it is definitely worthy to grab. Even just for time to time fun.

This game definitely has alot of potential

Thanks for picking this up and reviewing it for us... I think for me I'll ether be waiting for it to go on sale or see how it develops over the next year or so. It doesn't look bad, but I'd prefer a bit more immersion personally.

I watch all your videos on my main 55" TV and I noticed right away the Series X version looked much better. Thanks for the detailed review. I think it looks like a lot of fun. Much better than any other truck game on consoles.

Surprisingly a good review despite the Unity engine traits. I’m not going to rush into it though. I will see if you give it anymore game play on the channel beyond this review

How all driving games should be it aint hard to drive in real life

this game is awesome i bought it on sale on xbox and hope more people hop on.. the multiplayer sessions are great and this game is still being improved and theres major updates that havent landed on console yet. THE MORE PEOPLE THAT CAN SUPPORT THIS GAME AND THE SMALLER SCALE STUDIO THAT MAKES THIS GAME WE CAN HELP AND SUPPORT TO MAKE THIS GAME VERY AWESOME AND POSSIBLY THE BEST TRUCKING GAME AVAILABLE ON CONSOLE to my knowledge. i like this game and cant wait for the major updates to hit console

Good detailed review. Seem to be a "good" truck game for console player. Since the ps4 version have working mirror, i assume that the Xbox series S have them too ? Does they look low res / blurry too, but still functionnal ?

They look decent, a little choppy at times, you also have the option of having your side mirrors pop up on each side of your screen for a better view

Struggling on this one, I got it on pc and it’s just lacking something for me. As you say they need to build flesh. It feels a bit bare bones. They also really need to sort the pop in

Nice review. Think i shall give this ago.. but seeing as its been out for 2 years on pc, has any of the promised stuff materialised yet ?oh and FYI , A rigid truck and trailer is not a double trailer its a wagon and drag. It only has one trailer.

Do you know how i can get in touch with the people who made truck driver for the ps4?i have spent hours playing it and don't get anywhere fast,everytime i switch it off it doesn't save the missions i have done i have to keep doing them over and over again,i have pre ordered trucks and logistics for my ps4 lol 😊

Bought this today. I'm using a thrustmaster T300rs wheel and T500 shifter, i have no force feedback at all even with all settings to max, any ideas ? Fine on all other games.

@@ShekelOverlords Snowrunner is one of the best games I ever played but I never physically loaded my trucks in that game..... My comment was based on this game wants the immersion of loading your trucks but then teleports you around which totally breaks that immersion.

I think this looks like it could be promising, obviously it no ets or ats but it’s interesting to have different things to do other than just delivery’s, certainly seems the like it could be the best truck sim on console

In multiplayer does anyone know if you group up to complete missions or only still do your own thing? Only joined one session to check and seemingly it was just single player but in an online lobby! Hope I’m missing something and you can team up to do stuff.

I would like it except for one thing. I like to interact with tying down stuff. You can't do that in this type of game. I like going out and tying down each thing now one thing is inside the truck from moving the pellets

When you have Euro and American truck sim along with Farming sim its a big shoe to fill.

For £25, I say it's maybe worth a punt, but I have mixed feelings on this. I played On The Road and that was seriously iffy, but this looks like a significant leap up on the development investment, albeit nothing to hold a candle to ETS2 or Snowrunner on. Intriguing cargo loads and actually loading stuff yourself is great, so that's a big plus point aspect for gameplay. Few things I did like about On The Road though was tachographs, manual fuelling up, and adjusting support legs on trailers etc, therefore I hope this has similar mechanics in play too. But... if this game kind of autocorrects your inputs and buffers margin of error with most actions being automated - trailer doors, flatbed sides and all that, it's gonna feel a little bit immersion breaking and hand holding, along with the big white locator ring, hmm... maybe won't be too much a bother once acclimated to those systems, hopefully. Yeah, Unity looks a tad sloppy on the PS5, but as it's the only platform I have, and if a patch is imminent anyway then I'm quite tempted to give it a go. Main reservation is Aerosoft. If they have majority authority over the console ports with their track record on the lack of long term care is a huge detractor. Perhaps getting in early, squeezing one's money's worth from it before AS decide to drop the post release maintenance like a vindaloo turd, it might not be so bad regarding AS's lackadaisical and borderline contempt in that department. Another thing that I feel does need highlighting though is that the game on PS5 is 1GB. Yeah, ONE SINGLE GIGABYTE. I drop bigger farts than that! I am always dubious about games smaller than 20GB because it causes me to ask the question, "How many corners were cut, and is it going to be shallow, sparse and so very basic it feels like one of those throwaway £1 games in the bargain bin on the PlayStation Store?" And, 28km sq? ABout 11sq miles. 640 acres ~ a dozen. That's miniscule. Not sure like the idea of such a small map. Then again, we're talking a 5 person dev team and a £25 price tag, so can't really expect too much I suppose. Erm, think I may have dissuaded myself here. Time to sleep on it, methinks.

Based on this, I'll be sticking to Euro Truck Simulator 2. But that being said, good to see more of these coming to consoles.

It's intriguing that MAN and SCANIA are part of the VAG group. I'm curious why Volkswagen isn't featured in the game.

Nice review, I just bought the game and was planning to use my ps4 controller on steam but it does not support the ps4 controller at the moment? Do you think this will come or would I need a Xbox controller as it seems to show the xbox controller layout when I go to controller set up. Any help here would be great.... Cheers :)

Steam supports any controller. Just google how to get it working with Steam, very easy.

Thanks for the reply, yeah, the controller works great on steam with all my other games just not this one. There is a message that comes up to say the ps4 controller is not supported when I load the game but I was hoping there was a work around. When the controller is on the whole game moves when I move the controller, it sort of acts like a mouse. Hopefully they will add it. Cheers

I have owned this game for 2 years left a review for the team with points that are wrong and there has been no change. The idea of the game I love but the game is hard to play with all the little bits that don't work. I hope they put a bit of polish to the game and finish it.

@@GametechUK Hi when turning in truck and trailer you cant jacknife the truck, so you cant make tight turn in yards. The containers are a different size props to load, I have a fanatic wheel and cant get it to work in auto with out clutch. The air plow off on the trucks is to close, as a class one driver in real life that's wrong. the trucks are all different size when the first one should be the sane as the MAN. I know it silly but it break the real feel of the game. It just need polishing but they haven't in 2 years.

Does anybody know how to change the game name when you create a multiplayer match on Xbox

And when you stream the sims on streams like twitch makes them look better viewing, is that a bad thing ? Not really if your using old gen.

Before you said about the PS4 limitations with frame rate I was watching thinking how good to looks

18 Wheeler - American Pro Trucker won't be too far away by SEGA. The Arcade that started it all.

Does this work with g923 wheel? On ps5.

What fps does the game get?

It seems like a really good game for that price. But i can only hope that they are going to do something about that PS5 frame rate, because in terms of immersion, a jittery stuttering frame rate completely destroys any immersion and atmosphere. If the PS5 version is using the same resolution and graphics settings as the Series X, they should lower some of it in the PS5 version. A smooth frame rate is more important than a couple of pixels or reflection / shadow details. Or if their target is 60 fps, they should include a option to lock it to 30 fps instead, for people who prefer a smooth frame rate over a unstable higher frame rate.

Is it automatic only ?

As far as I could tell PlayStation just had a lower frame rate and maybe a little less crispness. But honestly had to go back and watch both parts again to really see the difference

@@GametechUK I managed to get ''On the road steering close to near perfect using the controller, here they are, 1)9.67, 2)10.00 or 9.98. Damper 3)1.54. Steering auto forward and reverse both off. Your toggle stick for steering stops the twitchy steering like a racing driver . Your thumb is the power steering.

Basicly your more in control with your steering than having both forward and back activated. I find auto forward too fast. Hope this helps and makes sense. I been watching your content for while. Keep up the good work.

I originally bought this when it was released on PC - I refunded within an hour. I felt it was a poor mobile port. In the recent steam sale I bought it again, but am using on my steam deck. It is more suited to that. I'm not sure how much real content the game has for the higher end consoles...

Yes it's got some new idea's going on but it's got a lot missing the cities are ghost towns , the mirrors don't match what's behind you and no feedback on the joy pad, really the list goes on I do hope that they can bring it to life more , the time I've played it I have enjoyed and yes I agree with you the driver Ai is a total mess

Liking the look of this game indeed I also thought the xbox series X was s lot better then the ps5 version and I have a ps5 myself iam finding the ps5 a little and only a little bit lack of performance yet again the unity game engine is being used I know the unity game engine can be really good but there are better game engines are out there

Looks good. I’m not a big fan of Aerosoft tho. Their games are poorly optimized and play like shit. I see they’re publishing and doing the console ports. So, idk. I’m sketchy

Biggest downside for me: if you play multiplayer the ai cars are not synchronized.... That makes escort missions somewhat useless. You don't see the cars wich you should stop or slow down and if you touch a car wich you don't see it just disappears for your multiplayer friend. It's a very nice game but it needs some love from the devs. Hope to see some fixes and maybe map expansions in the future. My personal rating 7,5/10 with space to improve.

Game looks really good hope they add more brands of trucks or some us style semi trucks
