I had a team in TDU2 where we would just pick a pointman who would pick a spot on the map and we would follow :D most of the time we would be doing it for well over 8hrs at a time was some of the most fun I have ever had in a racing game so I got high hopes for solar crown :)

The problem with current games is perfectly demonstrated with Forza Horizon 5. I, among many others, paid for the deluxe version only to find now we don't get extra DLC unless we pay even more money. It is horribly frustrating to drop $100 USD to find that's not enough money for the distributor or developer!

Sry but anyone who pays $100 for one single game needs their head examined. Absolutely nuts. You seriously think any game lives up to its launch hype? One in 100, possibly. I don’t buy games at launch, I wait minimum 3 months until games are reduced 75-80% & released with all inclusive dlc which shdve been in the base game at launch. In the last 10 years, iv never paid more than £20 for any game & frequently pick up games for less than that. The gaming community needs to get it’s collective head sorted out

Solar crown is the only game i am excited for, i grew up with test drive played it with my friends back in the day all day long cruising around together, now we wait for this masterpeace, cant wait.

I sorta hope that after the awesome game that is Dead Space: Remake, I hope EA go back to the underground style of NFS with a remake or maybe pull a Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and give us a remastered collection which includes Underground, all the way up to Undercover, maybe include the OG NFS games like those old Mega-drive Collection games we used to get back in the day

I don't know if FH6 will be released in 2024, but either way I hope they keep all the good changes that they brought in the latest FH5 updates. Also, they should get rid of the Eliminator, in the FH5 rally expansion demonstrated that they can make interesting roads and maps if they're not focused in that shitty gamemode.

Agreed, CarX Drift is the perfect example. I'd be happy paying for a battle pass or something like that. They don't push for updates on PC/Consoles because mobile games generate more cash through in-app purchases.. However, that game has such good physics and driveability I would love to see it grow. More maps, more cars, even though the car list is not bad at all. They need to work on the environmental graphics, but yeah all in all it's a good game imo. They should try a Fortnite business plan. Make it free to play, let people buy stuff in the shop. Cars, liveries, season passes etc.

Please do explain the Slightly Mad Situation and talk more about GTRevival. I really like the handling of PCARS 3 and I'm hoping GTRevival has a very well tuned gamepad handling along with a great simulator handling on wheel.

PCARS 3's physics leaned more towards arcade and most "simulation" aspects were heavily toned down, mostly due to Codemasters touching the game's development. And apparently PCARS 3 eventually became the final game in the Project CARS series and a PCARS 4 won't be happening any time soon, if not, ever.

@@gbalao8885 I know that. I played it and the only thing left from Project CARS 4 is a really nice game menu design reminiscent of DiRT3 done by the same person. I'm hoping whatever the physics model they're aiming for in GTRevival will feel very good for both wheel and gamepad. Like how Assetto Corsa plays great with a wheel and you can mod in scripts for gamepad handling with auto counter-steer and correction in the same game. Personally, I don't get why people go so hard on the simulation aspect of a game. If a game has simulator physics but essentially disables a few aspects like dynamic tyre pressure, temperature, wind, damage, and all the minor things that effect the car but would otherwise be perfectly accurate in an optimally tuned car in an optimum weather , it'll still handle like a simulator. For example, trail braking is possible in Project CARS 3, and it feels great on a gamepad.

I actually have hopes on Wreckreation. Racing games these days are dominated by simcade (even the fandom are fighting over details that they'd never noticed anyway), and if not, are usually arcade, but still in realism side, with car brands and stuff, or even festival like TC Motorfest, which makes the game looks tame, heh they even seems like trying to make it like Forza Horizon, which I feels like they lack music vibes or anything, but moving on).... The thing is, everyone have been playing safe, none trying to go out boundaries like Driver SF or Burnout. So seeing Wreckreation and Pacific Drive gives me a hope on variety

We havent had an NFS title that feels like a reskin in forever. Games are pricey yeah but thats both given inflation and EA has stupidly high prices for their titles, thats out of NFS' control though

Night Runners looks just like Tokyo Extreme Racer... One of my favorite racing games/franchisees ever. The first game (to my knowledge) to bring full body kit customization. And the original was all JDM and maybe a Porsche.

Beam MP exists, it’s not perfect, but building shitboxes to rip around the nordschleife was some of the most fun I’ve had in a racing game in a long time.

Thank you for mentioning Nightrunners, I can't wait to see this spiritual successor of Shutokou Battle/TXR series.

I have always wanted Genki racing games, such as Kaido Battle, to revive someday. JDM Drift Master has literally listened to my prayers.

Love project cars, one and two, despite the fact that they were initially nightmares with a standard controller really looking forward to that GTRevival

I hope Forza Horizon 6 comes out next year... also hope TDU SC doesn't get delayed another 2nd time in a row. TDU SC is the hardest game to wait for so far, and I just can't afford to wait an extra year again for it, cuz obviously, that would hurt...

If CarX Street doesn't come out on 2024, it's never coming. Also, nope, games as services are BAD for the racing genre specifically and that's exactly what's destroying it.

Imagine if Forza and gran tourismo got together and made an open world game to where the ultimate goal was to win the world cup or a world championship in every car type and you could travel to different maps via plane or ferry or train 😮

I fucking love the aesthetic of Night-Runners, I've been following the development off and on for a while now and I'm all for it. Solar Crown is one I've been waiting for and a type of game that I've been missing for years now. Thanks for putting JDM on my radar, I can really see that becoming a chill game for me, and Pacific Drive looks interesting, might have to check that one out too. I love indie developers because they come up with some crazy ideas you'd never see a AAA developer attempt

I really really hope the nfs franchise turns into something gta like where the studio takes its time to make the next game as polished as possible before releasing it (so we don't another 'wasted potential' kind of game like the last ones were) and to keep updating the current game with monthly expansions and events ... etc maybe even add sequels to the story. There is a lot to do with unbound and they can use their time to focus on making the next nfs game as good as the community expects (at least 80 percent as good as we want a nfs game to be). They should also listen more to the community.

Out of those that I personally would be interested in are Forza Horizon 6, GTR Revival, Test Drive Solar Crown and GTA 6.

wreckfest 2 is also rumored, they are hiring now, so it is a "maybe 2024"

So I think we are all in agreement that we would rather play a game with less content (less cars, smaller map, less tracks) that is however a very high quality product specialised on a certain part of car culture I got tagged by Theo I think I wet my pants

ima be real I do not believe FH6 will come in 2024, it could possibly be annouced in 2024 but I don’t think it will be released in 2024 I see that being a game released more likely in 2025 / 2026 espically with Xbox / Microsoft new terms for their triple A studios & devs (games must having 4-5 years of development before release)

I think FH6 will not be released before 2025. But i hope this time there will be more Streetracing and less Rally/Offroad. Japan with Tuning-Culture and Drift eould be nice!

I would personally like to see more types of events in fh6. Like rallycross, time attack tournaments, drift battles and even something similar to the nfs unbound takeover events. I feel like they have to refresh the activities a little bit

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown looks to be one of the best racing games out there. The map looks good, tho i hope they add some good "nature" areas, like mountains, forests and just flat fields to cruise around in other than the main city; the vehicle functions, such as turn signals and convertible roofs are a GIFT FROM THE GODS (I love little details like these, really adds to the immersion) and the graphics also look great (not exactly up with The Crew Motorfest or FH5 but still) and the vehicle slection also looks promicing. One thing that I really hope they add is aftermarket cuztomization (along with the TC1 and 2 factory options) for car meets and just making each car your own.

Test Drive Unlimited SC looks like an early alpha version of Forza Horizon. They better up their game dramatically in the graphics department or they'll be laughed off the starting line.

Some infomation about GTRevival that's wrong here. It's not by Slightly Mad Studios, it's by a new studio founded by Ian Bell after he left Codemasters/SMS/EA called Straight4. The game has a publishing deal with PLAION (prev known as KOCH Media), and the deal is for a release on PC, PS5 and Xbox. There's a new custom engine responsible for car handling and whatnot, but the visuals are being rendered using Unreal Engine. The game will also be experimenting with dynamically generated AI voice lines for racing commentators and racing engineers, which could be pretty cool. But there is also a chance they might experiment with NFTs.

They should bring back Motor Storm and Pacic Rift And add to game libraries the originals for ps5 stream..

Night runners reminds me of Tokyo Racer Zero for ps2 back in the early 2000's. Loved that game.

Carx street and racing master are the only racing games I play on my phone tbf I've tried a few but them two in particular feel like massive throw backs to midnight club, older nfs titles with alot of aspects and both are great bases for they have built if they come to console and pc and optimization is improved on I reckon they will probably end up creating alot of competition for newer titles of forza and nfs imo as atm they really do seem to be just putting in the bare minimum atm with alot of games

FH4 and FHorizon 5 had *huge sound problems*, especially for Realtek chipset users. Hope FH6 will FINALLY fix this.

I am no longer excited for FH6 since the release of FH5 was strong but it didn’t hold out for long.

I hope a company would make a new burnout game or even just do a remake of burnout revenge

hy, I hope that there will be less emphasis on open world, because the players are really bland in open worlds, but i know that it will only remain a dream.

I will bring up Aero GPX, it's not your wheely wheely vroom vroom game, it's a spiritual successor to f-zero X from the Brazilian legend who made spiritual successors to the early 3d sonic games. if anyone has been drawn into fzero 99, or remembers games like that - keep an eye out for that, and ballistic NG, pacer and redout 2 are still ones to try in the mean time.

if you are interested in GTA racing you should check out a RP server. Racing can be great if you find the right server. A buddy and i found one and it was a fairly new server and no real race scene. one group started hosting races but there were no official checkpoints this meant everyone had to actually learn the tracks. track layouts were posted on Discord and the racers would run the track alone or with friends over and over memorizing the tracks and finding the best lines to bring to the races. made for a very fun and competitive races.

the next NFS should be NFS underground 3 Because they can do a lot with that you know Use the game that started it all

About potential FH6: considering the debacle of "built from the ground up" of Forza Motorsport and how it has become a meme from how much of a marketing ploy it actually was, they're better off keeping the current engine and improving it. At least they won't make fool of themselves that way.
