Great content. Just recently gone back to OTR and the difference is staggering. Reinstalled knowing there’s a big update coming 23/1/23, really enjoying OTR now.

Glad you enjoyed the video RusticGeek. Hopefully it will fix all the problems as I haven't been able to play it since the last update. Constant freezing after about 2 minutes. Fabian did say the freezing issue will be fixed, when I asked him, but only time will tell. Soedesco are going quiet with Truck Driver apparently until they have the game and DLC (Heading North) working.

I’ve played both OTR and TD, and I personally found TD to be the better game even if it’s more in the arcade side of driving than the sim of OTR. I like being able to get out your truck in OTR, but TD is just a more stable game and a better looking world to look at it overall. The steering is also awkward as hell on OTR. It just doesn’t feel right. A new game came out yesterday called Tourist Bus Simulator and it looks interesting. I kind of wanna buy it. But I saw someone here in your comments not recommend it. It looks good though to me. As far as truck driving games go, we have 2 coming out this year for consoles. One is Alaskan Truck Sim, and I think the other is Truck Sim Australia or some shit. They both are looking really promising and I can’t wait to see more of it. I’d really like to see the day ATS or ETS come to consoles.

I think that's one of the reasons they're looking at adding more towns etc to OTR. TD is a more stable game, but issues with the game that have been there for months really isn't good. They're both as bad as each other for keeping us updated and fixing problems. I'm expecting problems with Alaskan and Truck World Australia when they eventually come to console, but I hope they'll be quicker to fix issues, than what we've had with these 2 games. I'm actually taking a look at Tourist Bus as I'm writing this reply. The reviews are saying about bugs and problems and the £20.99 for each of the dlc bus packs. That really sounds way to much. Aerosoft, plus £25 for game with bad frame rate with people dropping through the ground, mirrors not clear, along with other issues does remind me of OTR release. Cheers for the comment 👍 👌

Hi guys. Enjoyed the video. I too am frustrated that gaming companies release driving games without wheel support. I would get on the road and tourist bus simulator today if they confirmed thrustmaster support. I have forza 4 and its OK but snowrunner with wheel is best driving sim for myself. Test drive unlimited supposedly coming autumn winter.

I did see that Tourist Bus was supposed to support Thrustmaster, but not sure that it's working for some people. I've just took the plunge with Tourist Bus, even with all the reported bugs, and am downloading it as I'm typing this. I'll probably look at doing some videos and a playlist, if I work it out. Apparently the controls for console aren't very friendly and a bit silly

Hello again Wiffy, I entirely agree with what you have said about both games. I have both, don't play either very often at the moment but when I do I always enjoy playing them. If we had a better truck game to play then maybe I would play them even less, or maybe even uninstall. I too was looking at Tourist Bus Simulator and decided one day definitely no, but purchased it the next day. Reason being I liked the look of it when I first saw it being played by a couple of other streamers and I thought, well £25, yes same price as OTR and I have enjoyed playing it the majority of the time, o as I said, purchased it. Difficult at times to work out what the heck to do and how the heck to do it when you find out what to do. Two ways to play, free play and campaign, a couple of runs to try to get the feel of the game in free play then tried the campaign. I have tried that five times now and I get stuck, not sure if it is a bug or if the bug is me but I don't regret getting it yet. If unsure watch some other streamers then at least that way you will see what you will be getting and maybe know if you can put up with the problems. I am on Playstation and here we are four days after release and still no day one patch yet, so no wheel support for us. Hopefully that and some of the other problems that I have will be fixed when Sony finally decide to release that.

Hi Len. I've looked at a couple of videos of Tourist Bus along with the reviews on the Microsoft store. The reviews do mention a few bugs and the videos I've looked at haven't had any real chat or voice. Just gameplay. I've decided to give it a look, even with the bus etc, plus I noticed that a patch has now been released for the game. I did see somewhere that Xbox was supposed to support Thrustmaster wheels, but by the sound of it most have been playing it with controller. Once it's downloaded I'll be taking a look to see if I can work out the controls, as for what i have seen, they haven't done a very good job porting it from PC to play on console with a controller. I'll probably look at some videos on it after I've had a mess about.

Great video wiffy. I remember one day i told you about on the road 1 year ago just give them time to fix bugs. About 3 months I gave up and i asked playstation for refund when i show them video of the bugs and problems of on the road after one year after released and sold truck drive to cex after 2 months. i had disk version. Both games dead for me. Try Tourist Bus Simulator I'm sure you will like it even its better in managing your compny and altos to do then bus simulator 18 and 21. Keep up the good work mate.

@@MrFarquar its over one year and 3 months same problems and getting worse. I got my refund from playstation and I won't think about it again. I'm playing Tourist Bus Simulator and having fun just give it try buy disk version then if you don't like it you can sell it.

It does have an appeal to it, just think that the bugs etc, will put people off because of the experience with OTR

I want a good truck game for my Series X where they have wheel, pedal and shifter support FROM THE LAUNCH Nothing I hate more having a good console and having wheel and equipment and then I can’t use it, because developers don’t think always. A truck game without wheel support is like playing a shooter where you don’t have ammo. I really had hope for on the road.

It does seem silly launching a driving sim without wheel support. Think OTR has bitten off more than it could chew. They shouldn't have brought it to Old Gen consoles and just concentrated on New Gen consoles.

Truck Driver is much better than On The Road. The On The Road devs owe everyone their money back. Its been an absolute con since launch. Truck Driver is limited in size and jobs but it a much better experience on console. I even tried to give OTR a chance and put a few videos about 12 months ago but it was just too painful to play. Getting ATS and ETS2 on PC was the best decision ever for trucking simulation. Good video chap, love a good ramble and grumble. 👍

I do like them both, but they both have let the consumer down. I think after this long they both should look at getting someone who knows what they are doing get involved or at least seek advice. Taking this long is just damaging any credibility they had

@Mr Farquar thanks, and glad you like the content. I like a variety of different games and understand most people came here for OTR and TD. I know my Tomb Raider playlist doesn't get much love, but enjoy playing and making the videos. Might do a playlist of the next Tomb Raider, but not decided yet.

On the Road on PS5 is fun for driving the giant freeways and towns, walking on foot, and handling the trailer and shipments, rest, fuel, etc., though the AI cars smash into my trailer on the freeways often, just driving straight ahead. Alaskan Truck Simulator sounds hopeful for PS5 too. Australian Truck will be for consoles too? That's good to hear if so. Thanks.

OTR just needs Wheel support ASAP. It's been way to long for a driving game, not to have Wheel support. Alaskan is looking good and apparently is classed as a Survival game. I do like the look of what I've seen so far. I've seen that Australian Truck is coming to console, and heard others say the same. Fingers crossed as that's look good too.

@@WiffySquatch Cool, thank you Wiffy for the details on Australian Truck Sim. I believe both games, like On the Road, allows for on foot too. But yes, wheel support would be great, even if it takes more time to program for their team. It would generate more sales I bet.

aerosoft just crapped out a tourist bus sim. i do not recommend it. its like OTR all over again. i do recommend microsoft flight sim. its not perfect and the dlc is way overpriced but the base game has enough there you dont need any dlc. have you tried forza? thats great fun and the wheel support is damn good

I was just looking at Tourist Bus in the Xbox store. Aerosoft and £25 for me. Mmm from reading reviews I'm guessing it has a close resemblance to OTR. One comment mentioned £20.99 for dlc? I use to love Forza Horizon, but seem to have gone off the last few. Not sure why, but perhaps it's the same thing again, just different places

Was playing truck driver for a while and it was fine for a long time. Then I started to encounter really annoying bugs. Like getting stuck in a Barrier on the side of the road. kept checking for updates aswell and got nothing. I enjoy bus simulator hopefully that's got some update since I last played. but wandering whether to get on the road. It looks a lot better. But I have heard bad reviews on the Xbox store. So just checking around for opinions. So thanks.

No updates mentioned yet for truck driver. Hit and miss with On the Road. Though it did have an update a few weeks back. I've not had chance to do much lately as I've just managed to sort out my Broadband. Had issues with it for a while.

Let's hope Alaskan Truck sim and Australian truck sim are good and consoles finally get a decent truck sim. Also Tourist bus sim is out on both Xbox s/x and ps5.

@@WiffySquatch I've been watching a few youtubers play and the xbox seems ok but the ps5 has a few graphical issue's nothing major which will be fixed on the first patch. Other than that it seems to run fine just like the PC version.

Tourist Bus sim is alot better than On The Road and Truck Driver put it that way i think you will both enjoy it alot i do. The coach company management's very good and the roads are interesting and challenging in places to drive on so you get really immersed into it i find.

@@beyondnow1600 Yeah only slight negatives are the PS5 has some flashing curbs but really smooth while the Series X has no real graphical issues but has a very slight stutter, but for a launch we've seen alot worse. Xbox has wheel support already not sure if patch for PS5 released or not last few days but it was with Sony to ok to release it so anytime if not. Thats the only snags anyway but like i say ive been really enjoying it it be one i play for a long time i think.

Did you watch the new YT post about OTR from SimNext? They are talking new update soon. I bought it on Steam sale today.

Yes I saw that. I take everything what they say with a pinch of salt. The game for many just freezes and is unplayable. Personally I would have waited until they came out with the new version, as the game as it stands is broken. Mine freezes after a few minutes, using just the controller or the wheel. Is your game working and do you use a wheel?

yeah loads of bugs I found in latest update I can live with that just want wheel support they can address bugs in next update

Can't believe wheel support is still not on console after all this time. Agree the bugs you can sort of put up with, but really do need fixing. Like I said, some of the issues have been in OTR for months and Fabian has said in his videos that they have been addressed, but when updated, it's still the same. TD has got issues that have also been in the game for months too.

I think people are getting wise to what he says. I think, not just OTR but TD too, that both of them have just been saying and some will take it as a promise, that in the next update it will be fixed or it will be coming in the next patch. Because things haven't come or haven't been fixed, yet we're told it will definitely be in the next patch, really isn't helping them as a business. They will only get a bad reputation, from it. I mean waiting for what, 7 months, for Truck Driver and still nothing, really is bad publicity in my book. I hope they both come up trumps, but I'm thinking it will be too late

Hi how do you get jobs for your drivers when the have finished there route I've clicked on the person and carnt get the jobs up

OTR on PS5 is fixed. Steering is much better although not perfect; no freezing or weird bugs either. I've been playing it solid for last 3 weeks with minor issues, such as; AI is still random, buses drive like maniacs and other vehicles will cut you up causing occasional collisions that ruin a perfect run. That and there is very little traffic variety regarding other truck types. They are all semi's with or without a trailer. Be nice to have tankers and low loaders.

Is there wheel support now or still not?

I bought Truck Driver on Steam a few days ago, even with all the bad reviews. Soedesco says the North DLC is still being worked on. I think software developers would rather sell you a new and improved version 2 of a game instead of patching bugs in older games for free.

I get that, but it's just a shame so many games are released not working properly. As far as I remember they re-did the game before as it was so bad and blamed the previous used company. I can only imagine what goes into making these games, but would have thought you need a steady, working base game to to build on, which I was under the belief they had already done. Unfortunately it wasn't so. Still, Truck Driver was and is a more playable game than On the Road.

@@Daily_Laugh. I think the graphics are really nice, but the software still has some bugs. I hate using a game controller to steer so I ordered a G920 wheel and Tobii eye tracker. I still have hopes SOEDESCO follows up with the Heading North DLC. If not I will probably switch to ATS or SnowRunner.

@@Daily_Laugh. The graphics are great. The jobs are interesting. Maybe the AI drivers need some more intelligence. I have not spent much time playing. I am waiting for the wheel/pedals. Besides the G920 I ordered a Tobii Eye Tracker 5 (Ships via DHL from Sweden) since it can be used in Truck Driver and American/European Truck Simulator. As far as I know the Tobii is the only tracker compatible with Truck Driver.

I don't have either of these so i was wondering which one feels more realistic? And which one has better weather elements? Does either have snow and ice?

If I remember right, neither have snow, but do have rain. TD is more Arcade than OTR, but both need fixes as far as I remember. OTR became unplayable for me ages ago, and things took forever to update but never really fixed much. Personally, I'd save your money with any of these. Sorry to be negative, but if you've seen both playlists, you'd see some of the problems.

I prefer On the Road but the last Update they messed up the trucks there Undriveable/Jammed Solid half the time, Kinda stopped me playing for now, Truck Driver still waiting for basic things like AI Semi Trucks for 2+ Years still not in the game, It easy to run out of things to do on that game with the Base Map it bouts 10 mins to Drive end to end also Soedesco don't keep us informed with the Updates etc.

@@WiffySquatch Sure thing, they got nothing to show us and if they do it will be last min thing, I had a Issue recently, I started a New Save with the Man Truck I got the Container Chassis with Drawbar Trailer I try Loading 2 Containers on the truck and it won't drive, like is Overloaded which it isn't showing as, so I had to Abort 1 of the Deliveries so the truck is Driveable again, this wasn't a Issue before with the Patch just the New Save, just hope they can fix it soon, also if u saw one of my videos there a Fuel Station/Rest Area missing on Autobahn 24 near Hamburg, you might come aross it if you driving in that Direction?

To be completely honest I think both games have their good and bad points. In my personal opinion I’d recommend to anyone not to buy either. The lack of communication and the time it takes to get the simplest of patches and updates out is disgusting. Lots of wasted potential as there is a huge market but by the looks of things they’re both dead in the water. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Completely agree. Have said this is exactly that in videos before. Way too much time without letting people know what is happening or going on. If they (as in both) just kept the community updated better they might not have lost peoples interest. It has to be 7 months since the last TD update. Like I always said, I can see TD going the same way Real Farm did. It's a shame as like you said they both had real potential.

I hope they make good of both games. I'll still be following and making the videos as I enjoy doing them, but I'm guessing if the new Alaskan and Australian take off when they come to console, they'll lose alot more interest from people

Will the new Alaskan truck simulator be on ps4 I hope so. Cuz I’ll be mad if it doesn’t that just means I’ll have to buy it on my switch. I honestly think truck driver is better than on the road on the road is boring

As I understand it's planned to come to PS & Xbox. On the Road has been left broken for over 2 months now and Truck Driver the same but no where near as bad. The time both games have taken, I think alot of people are done with them. I messaged about On the Road almost 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard back from them

OTR is the true truck sim, any other truck title is arcady, ETS2 is quite sim like as well, but nowhere near OTR

I only know from what I have seen in Trailers and a little bit I read about the game. It's supposed to be classed as a survival game, as you can set up a camp off the road and hunt for your food. Supposedly you have to change you tyres if you have a flat and stock up on supplies before you leave on your journey. As soon as I see anything else I'll be sharing it on the Facebook page.

I like simulation games, so Truck Drive doesn't make the list because it's ARCADE.

It was a fun game, but needed work. They kept coming up with excuses and blaming others for the issues. This is after they said they had to start from scratch again, so they could fix and add to the game. On the road was left in a broken state for me and personally don't think they tested things out properly before releasing. They used a different team to make Truck and logistics simulator, and seems to be so much better. Don't think the roads were thought out properly for the size of the vehicles, but at least they improved

Been broken from the start. Very slow at fixing anything and terrible at keeping us informed. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just left as they have other games they are working on. Shame as it has potential. Should pass it on to someone who knows what they are doing. I'm still waiting for a response from them about the game

@@WiffySquatch I did stick with the game and tried a couple of things. Up side, when it works it works well, on my series x. Had 2 trucks running at the same time happy days, AI worker and me. Down side, freezing, yes it can happen at any time but it stands out more on an auto save. Its just a shame I believe they dont know what they got. Its a great game for a console release, but I think we all know true sims are for P/C. I would still say its do not buy, but fingers crossed. One little hilight, pull over at a truck stop and up date my AI work on there next job. Map size is just right! I did find one bugged mission drop of at a truck stop or pick up I can't remember. I won't plug in a wheel and peddles until its fixed. Only time will tell. Good video sir but sorry the other truck game is a no go for me.

At the moment Truck Driver seems to be the one at the moment as On the Road has freezing issues constantly. I did ask if this was going to be addressed, but I never got a proper response

Truck driver has been working fine for me, but On The Road is broken for me on Xbox Series X, can't drive, can't control the steering, sways tomuch. I don't play either of them anymore, On The Road is not playable IMO, truck driver is boring and DLC taking way too long, Sedesco should just make a new Truck Driver for next gen only vs trying to get the DLC to work.

I think both should look at involving someone who knows what they are doing, or at least get some advice. They are both destroying what they had, I feel, going by the feedback I've seen and had from people. I'm hoping they sort both games out, but the way they have let us down with the lack of updates on the stage of the games, I think they have damaged the confidence in people.

Get truck and logistics sim for xbox. Its fun and you can drive more than just trucks and load with diffent vehicale like forklifts. Otr and td are meh

@@WiffySquatch I like it a lot. I'm.porbably gonna get truck driver next. Truck and logistics sim works very well with my wheel and shifter on my Xbox which is why I got it. All fun though. One day I will get an ats setup.

I have not had one problem with truck driver. Now on the road that's a different story. The ai drivers cant even turn properly.

I noticed how bad the game was playing on mine. Thankfully I managed to get my hands on the Series X which massively improved everything. I won't be surprised if they stop trying with the old gen console. Wrong in my opinion as it was sold and marketed for all consoles.

My opinion... Both Companies Are Bullshitters I would NOT buy any of there games

I think alot of people have had enough of both of them. I've had as few comments and messages, saying that people have uninstalled the games
