Details / beskrivelse:
Ahh, to be Danish. To eat good food, drink Gammel Dansk at breakfast, and pay 50% tax. Tosproget, lækre og kloge, it's a hard life the Danes live. British stand up comedian, Conrad Moldens first comedy special, Danglish.
Danmark in a britisk komikers øjne
What is hygge? Why are the Danes so godtroende and who was the psychopath who invented Aalborg Snaps? These are some of the topics in the British Conrad's stand-up show.

As a Dane I can 100% confirm these facts. I was crying from laughter, throughout the whole show
as a Dane i can confirm everything he says is correct.

We do, in fact, hide from a company called "DR." I haven't seen anyone take a shit in the middle of a Fakta though.

Why is his Danish pronunciation unironically better when he speaks in a high pitch voice

Keep it up, please 😊- fortunately there are a lot of very similar basic words between these two related languages as well as several grammatical similarities.
As a Norwegian I understood a lot and i laughed so hard at times.

This is interesting for me. I'm USA born-and-bred person, and I hearing all sorts of words I've never heard before. The magic of the internet! I did not have this available to me 40 years ago, I can tell you that
Conrad is absolutely amazing! I know a lot of fun comedians! But to me, Conrad tops them all 😂👌 The amount of work, he puts into his comedy, is outstanding! I'm afraid, he might even know more about my own country than I do myself 😂😂
"maybe they are from Randers". Most Danish thing ever.
Everything he said was on point LOL..but he forgot about "Sankt Hans" where we used to burn witches, today we make human sized doll's and "hygger" while we send her to Bloksbjerg 😂...
Found a clip on instagram and found this video after, it's great 😂
To be fair on the last one, the "Tusindben" is called thousand feet in the english language by slapping two latin words together (Millipede from the latin words Milia and pedes) 😅 Apart from that its spot on 👏👏👏
as a dane i confirm 100% of this
That was very funny😂. At least 900 thanks.
I gotta watch a show live, saw a snippet from a clip, then searched him up- my guy is fucking great yo, i'm ballin'by eyes out and ribs are hurting
Very awesome show! 😍
Den blegfis er fandme sjov!
I don’t get how you can talk about the Danish "LEGO-language", then immediately go on to Gorm Gormsen in his WHEEL+CHAIR without reflecting on that.

To be fair, all of his amusement over creation of words by putting together different words, or having very specific words with different usage based on context is, altough funny, not at all surprising if you're not speaking a germanic language natively. *insert meme* "Wait you guys don't just invent new names by putting words together and giving it new meaning??"

My dad bought 6 bottles of red wine worth 150dkk each and the cashier made a mistake and only asked 145dkk for the entire thing. He was seriously considering telling them.
I enjoyed this so much! Absolutely hilarious - especially the part about Hammel and the old man in the bus made me laugh out loud 😂 but I loved the entire show 🎉❤
you forgot to translate grovbolle from the bread section
You're amazing ❤❤❤
😂 Grew up in Grauballe, lived Bjerringbro for two years and know all the bonderøv places mentioned. Now that I'm stuck in a suburb to Copenhagen, I miss the freedom and casual living I can't pass on to my kids entirely.
Love it
the guy before Brian also came up with the name "Sølvfisk"
Perfect😂😂😂
Great show Conrad 👍and so happy spring is finally here in Denmark even its still freaking cold💨. but the marie chickens is out 🐞🤪
Great show
Actually the word "gift" as in "to marry" also existed in Old English - a wedding chappel was for instance "a gifthus". A place where the bride was given or gifted away by her family to the groom. And a bat was also considered some as some sort of "mus" / mouse in Old & Middle English: hreaþemus = "waving mouse" 😉
Onrad you set are perfekt 👍🏻
Spending literal minutes bashing the Danish weather is great. Because it's fucking true
That was awesome 😂😂😂😂😂
You're wrong about Gammel Dansk. Its not to clean car engines. Its the residue from cleaning car engines. ;)

I personally think Danglish is much more prevalent in the large cities. After moving to a more rural area I immediately think it's Københavneri of the highest order when someone is Danglishing.
5:28 Missed opportunity to say “Welcome to the land where things are actually free.”

Perfekt opfattelse af dansk, gid optimisme og selvværd ville indspirere, ville det ikke være fedt, at folk lærte at grine lidt af sig selv, så udvikling kan flyde frit. Og tak for vores næste. Konge..
I looked up Mundelstrup just for fun. Yup! I'm crazyyyy 😂 It has a population of 422 people. (2023) It's officially a village. I would call it a bump in the road 😂
Went to Aarhus last week for the first time. Got involved into a car accident on randersvej due to a mad cyclist.... Better had have looked this video before going there... 😂😂
Very funny... Even if a few of the jokes didn't make so much sense.... Like how is motorsavs masakren hyggelig, when chainsaw massacre sounds scary... it is clearly the same word just spelled different... It is the Texas part ? Because Texas can be quite scarry :)
I am Sorry - but it’s not cancer. Kræft. The swearword is: Kraft edeme: Power-swearing/ Oath. An ED means: An Oath. And it may be two words put together. Oath and the last end of another Word: Satme (mig/ me). So Oathsatanme. A personal opinion. Absolutely nothing about Cancer. That is spelled with æ. Kraft means POWER or FORCE. ☺️ I like your show!
58:07 Well when they are in the water we call them a Havskildpadde “seaturtle”
not too shabby. Fakta-version of Louis ck :P
I've been living in Denmark, I've pretty much enjoyed my stay but didn't farwelled so much as i could have .Was in Kopenhagen and in the countryside, around Kœge... Villages and suburban towns are very boring, that's true .U can hardly fraud or cheat on busses whilst on metro and trains it's possible .The advantage of knowing French is that it can help u a lot for speaking Danish, that's also true .Many words boroughed from French, sometimes written the same, sometimes with scandic style but easy to recognise and pronounce when being French speaker .The tongue is mostly gutturalistic and not so hard to say for French because of common vocabulary and pronouncing . Main difficultness should come from the purely original Old Norse words that don't look like the English spelling even if lots of words are similarly looking and both share the same root .

Aarhus is almost legendary for the total lack of control over the bus network. Nobody cares to buy a ticket there. :) And surprise: Nobody cares about Aarhus buses in the first place. :D
its a very hyggelig show
The funny thing about taking a shit in fakta is, that it actually happened
can confirm fakta, in my time there there was piss and shit on the floor from time to time
Great show, really funny 🤣 As a dane I like to hear you making fun of me, my people and my country - even the flag. But stay away from the king, because he is badass 😜I think that's only possible because danes know, that we also have a lot of serious things to be proud of.

6:05 bruh as someone who knows history, there's like basically no difference between an englishmen and and a dane, at least not genetically. Plus the weather in both countries are very similar. You're barely an immigrant.

Nearly every English boy look like a prince and a few danish boys are okayyyyy, maybe but the most of them look… I don’t even know what they look like
Honestly never thought about ridiculous firben is. It is just a name to me but yeah "four legs"... that is hella lazy
Direct rubbish. Jep
From the UK? A very Danish dialect though.. To me it sounds like a Danish dude pretending to be from UK. This show seems like a hoax to me.. I mean.. I'm Danish and even I can do a better English accent. Great humor sure... Very easy though when or if you're really Danish and therefor have a hidden knowledge. I've heard countless of English stand up trying to speak Danish. None of them sound THIS accurate in EVERY danish word. Sorry. I just don't buy it.
