    I think it is because he has changed topics. I don't watch his Danish shows because they tend to be "teenage humour difference between men and women". He did a really nice bit for Standup for Comedy a few years ago, so I knew he could write jokes for a different audience. I think his target demographic just changed considerably. And he is talented to be able to change his style accordingly.

  • @livedandletdie

    @livedandletdie

    You people are weird, it's easier to translate things into English than it is to translate inbetween our very similar languages. I mean when I say Grin, then the Swedes think it's crying and the rest of us sane people think it's smiling. When I say Tös, the Swedes don't understand and the Danes doesn't care and the Norwegians get upset, while I think it's a perfectly normal word here In Scania. If I say Rar, then everyone but the Norwegians think it's Sweet, but they think it's rare. Do you get my point... It's a fucking lot easier to translate from our languages into English than in between them, because there are words that have different meanings, and then there are words that doesn't have any cognates in the other languages. And it gets even worse when we get to old Norwegian AKA Icelandic. And let's not mention Gutetal or Dalmål or Sydjylländsk, or Tröndelagsk. We could literally spend over 30000 hours speaking about the differences in every minor language and dialects there of. It's just about exposing yourself to enough of the English language until you get a minor grasp in it and after that it becomes a lot easier, I used to speak both Scanian and Danish fluently, now I rarely if ever Speak either Scanian, Danish or Swedish. Mostly English, I literally dislike speaking Scanian although I'm proud of being a Scanian, however, no one understands me when I speak, most people just learn Swedish here now and no one seems to want to speak Scanian, or any of it's dialects. Klåijntade kotletter me' panntofflagröd o krös, ä så gott ad yvena rinna. Marinated cutlets with mashed potatoes and lingonberries, is so tasty that (my) eyes (flow/tear up). Ja stod ve vången inte möllan o glodde po en granner tös, hon va en redig granner tös, me yved hår o illröa läbbar, pattar som få o en röa som får alla glader vara. Man känner säj som en li'en glytt var gång man ser pona. I stod near the meadow next to the mill and looked at a pretty girl, she was a really pretty girl, with bushy hair and strikingly red lips, breasts like no other and an ass that makes everyone be happy. One feels like one is but a young boy each time you look at her. Now I could translate that into Swedish pretty Easily, by exchanging a few words, but translating it into Danish wish is the sister language of Scanian is near impossible, mostly due to how shit Danes are at spelling and speaking their own language, I mean Danish is mostly vowels and then short words like den is pronounced bm, and it's really shit to think in Danish and try to write it down, and writing it down in the first place makes it look too Swedish. Oh and if we were to all write down phonetically, then shit pommes frites, is it gonna be hard, because Danish is basically hell on Earth with like a billion vowel shifts... No English with it's sorry excuse of spelling and speech is a lot easier. I mean I live 65 km from Denmark and I still feel that English is a lot simpler than a language I've been forced to learn since a young age.

    It's really more to prove non Danes that he's a Dane. It's not uncommon for Danes who haven't shown their full Danish side yet, to be mistaken for being English (I don't really wanna bother listing the countries that speak English). I personally have a *very* British accent and I've had severe difficulty proving even fkn Brits that I'm Danish. Best way for a Dane to prove their nationality is not as much to speak a shite ton of Danish, but to roast the fuck out of everyone around them. Basically give them the same bombardment that Sweden gets on a daily basis

    My mother planned to move us (her, me and my brother) to Denmark when I was 10. I hate to think of what my accent would have sounded like. We had moved to Mexico when I was 5 and spoke Spanish better than English. Add Danish to that and I have no idea what it would have sounded like. We didn't get to go to Denmark, unfortunately. My mom passed away. I think I would have loved going to Denmark.
