This scene made my love for Jeremiah fill with soo much respect. He acted soo selflessly mature in this scene, the way he was pushing Conrad to have a proper conversation with Belly, the way he would give up on her if she wanted to get back to Conrad- to Jere, Belly's happiness is top priority which is really heart warming. I really felt bad for Conrad though, because he never got to really tell how much he loves her from all the communication issues he has always had. I hope he works on himself on the next season before coming back better than ever.

I know Conrad is not a bad person, but he confuses Belly all the time & she doesn't know what to think. She always ends up feeling hurt & rejected. Why can't he just be open with her & tell her that he suffers from anxiety? He has known her his whole life & I find it hard to believe that he can't be vulnerable with her.

This man had to deal with a lot and he knows he love belly yes he can’t express it at all but he has always wanted the best for her. And when he’s ready to start something with her mom issue then brother likes her so it’s is difficult he has to fix himself before the confess of it all to her. He got a small happy with her but it jaut never last never. With jer she finds it easy cause she is young she wants to love and kisses the hugs not the hard understanding of thinking what he wants. Jer will always think of belly is thinking of Conrad and she will have to constantly remind him and it will take a toll. Cause with belly it’s about perfect all the time on the point jer is not that kind he loves belly of course but not like Conrad at all. I feel belly will always love Conrad always no matter what and jerm knows this but he plays ok it in a way he knows his brother won’t tell her how he feel and he will let then be happy but she will see Conrad agin and feelings Wii be there.

“She deserves to know how you feel….if she picks you ill let her go.” -Jeremiah❤️ When Jeremiah said this, it shows a lot how much he cares for belly and how much he cares for her feelings and that he doesn’t want her to get heartbroken again. This was such a wholesome moment, but at the same time I was really hurting for Conrad because the fact that he was going to tell her that he had feelings for her again and he found her and Jeremiah making out on his car, Belly wearing his sweatshirt and at his college just broke me into pieces!😭😭 Season 2 was a banger, I can’t wait for season 3!💕 Hopefully it’s not the last season because this show is so amazing but I have a feeling it is since there are only three books, but maybe Jenny will release more books in the future! We’ll just have to wait and see!❤️❤️

@@janderson947 Actually Jeremiah was the one who kissed Belly repeatedly long before she ever kissed Conrad in the first season. And Jeremiah very clearly basically begged for Conrad to tell Belly how he still felt about her. It's not his fault that Conrad didn't tell her the truth. Belly is the one who had to choose and she chose Jeremiah so in that moment he had every right to kiss her.

@janderson947 Jere has literally been keeping Belly at arms length since the second episode. Even when she very clearly wanted for him to kiss her during truth or dare he didn't. Because he's rightfully afraid or being hurt again. And you act like she purposely wore Conrad's Brown sweater as part of her outfit when in reality she got cold and he offered it to her. I'm not saying the optics are great because they aren't. That kiss definitely happened at the wrong time, but they didn't do it purposely hurt Conrad. Jeremiah loves his brother. Even though they have a complicated/rocky relationship, he was willing to let Belly go for good if that meant that they'd be happy together. Even if it broke his heart in the process, he wanted that for them. Which made him come off as an amazing person. He wished Conrad happiness, and Conrad's response was "me too." No wish of happiness to his brother at all, which was pretty shitty to do. I honestly don't like that all of this is happening so soon after Susannah's death. The brothers need each other more than ever right now.

@@Chantara27 exactly bug kissing belly isn't helping I know they are still brothers but let belly be single for a while figure out how she FEELS when things don't go her way she tends to run to whoever is there at that moment and jer was always there sadly that isn't healthy Conrad isn't in an healthy space but belly isn't either and she needs to be single with her emotions and process them because Conrad doesn't know how to communicate his feelings ,belly is insecure and emotionally vulnerable and jer is just trying to hold them together while trying to process this himself dating belly is not the answer right now I don't like belly using jer when he just lost his mom he deserves better than that but belly is looking validation she doesn't get from laurel than Conrad is stuck in his head next is jer and no one asked Steven how he feel about any if this either..

No matter what, for me Jeremiah will always be one of the best, kindest and purest soul of this show. I love how this season he finally understand that he doesn't need to smile all the time and hiding how much he's hurting. Hope they'll not destroy his character's arc just for the sake of another ship!

Because it was sudden and stupid. Bonrad for me can be endgame, they deserve eachother, im saying that Jenny at least in the show doesn't have to make Jeremiah the bad guy to do It. Cause that's what she did, otherwise belly and Jere wouldve never broke up.

@@thatboringmarga Jer was a fun player type boy in season 1 who was sleeping with men and women. I think people are just forgetting who he is. Those people are usually prone to cheating. I always thought he was the bad guy in the story, because he was getting in between two people that he knew loved each other. But Belly and Conrad could never admit it to themselves. Even now I don't think Jer trusts that she's over Conrad.

No need to get angry about the truth. As for Nicole, they weren't serious. Where even Nicole herself wasn't sure about their relationship, until Jer lied to her to get Conrad out the way. I'm guessing you're just dismissing all of his manipulations. I never claimed Conrad is perfect....

There is no doubt whether the fisher boys's love Belly or not, both are truly in love with her. The difference is that Jeremiah is always there for Belly, no matter how much he is suffering or hurting. He does not allow his own issues to hurt Belly or others. It's a kind of character with whom you feel safe, comfortable and light. Conrad on the other side is not able to express his feelings properly, there is a lot of miscommunication and he shuts down whenever he gets to his borders, that actually makes a relationship very hard and exhausting, independently of the fact how much you love each other. Being in love is not always sufficient, it's important how you are treating your beloved ones...

He hasn't cheated on her yet, so whatever the comment above said can be applied perfectly well to the current narrative. We never know what changes they might bring to the script of next season.

I really agree with your comment. Jeremiah and Belly's dynamic is actually more positive than with Conrad and Belly, because Jeremiah and her know how to communicate their feelings with each other. He is really commited to her and even she understands him, unlike with Conrad who keeps pushing her away from all his insecurities and lack of communication skills. Conrad really needs to work on himself before trying to get into any relationship- he is just not ready for it.

@@sincerelykay342 yess for real people tend to forgot that what Conrad was going through, Jeremiah was going through the same thing. I hate it when they make Jeremiah tend out to be the “villain”, they absolutely overlook his hurt, but when it’s Conrad they will come up with a million excuses.

This was probably one of my fave scenes of the show in general - great job boys! 🙂

Belly is the worst. She genuinely doesn't love either of these boys enough. She obviously has the most feeling for Conrad but refuses to be hurt by him again. She's resorting to Jeremiah because she has enough feelings for him. Really, if she cared about them, she'd stop ping ponging between them and tell them that she chooses neither so that they don't have to continue to deal with the pain of her drama while grieving their mother. And boys...there are other girls in the world.

She chooses him for now, until something better comes along. Just like she’s done the past two seasons. She has Cam: oh hi Conrad! Then she nearly kissed Conrad and next episode: oh hi Jeremiah! And then she starts dating Jeremiah, and then is like: oh hi Conrad! And now it’s back to Jeremiah again, because Conrad treated her poorly, so Jere is the better option again. I really like Jeremiah, he’s one of the best characters of the show, and I really don’t understand why Jere fans want to see him with Belly. He deserves better

Also SHOUT OUT to the man, the myth, the legend Gavin Casalegno. His acting in this scene is amazing!! He's shown so much range of emotion this season and perfectly depicted Jere's complexity. Can't wait to see his future projects!

And after ALL THIS someone will still say.. "ohh Jere just wants to come between them" or "Jere is being so manipulative" like he literally just saw through all of Connie's self-sabotage and said I'll step aside AGAIN if you two still want to be together but tell her your feelings for all of our sakes. I was so proud of him here. Not only for his growth but he didn't want to be a consolation prize becuz Belly couldn't have connie. So I really hope Conrad told her before she chose Jere. Thats the only way I'll truly be happy about it.

Oh I know.. he's justified because he's hurting or they hurt him or anything else you need to say to make Conrad's actions okay while Jere is the bad guy right. Jere lost his mom too, was heartbroken by them too and yet despite his anger, he never did what Conrad did in that car to them. But ofc Con's feelings will always justify him being a complete Jerk while Jere isn't even allowed to have any. Conrad never once asked Jere about his feelings for Belly or tried to look deeper into how Jere felt about Belly the way Jere did for him now. Not in s1 and not in s2 he just kept telling himself and Belly that Jere didn't care as much which is total bs. So no Jere didn't owe Conrad ANY of this when no one was there for him when this happened, but he saw Conrad's pain becuz HE cared enough to look. The only person being glamorized for doing basic shit is Connie. P.s. Conrad has had so many opportunities to talk to Belly and share his feelings but he never does so let's not blame his emotional immaturity on Jere. What Jere did here was brave and showed real growth. Things Conrad is still lacking and I honestly hope he gains in the end for Belly's sake.

I don’t know how many times this has to be said before someone understands it, but Jeremiah never expressed his feelings for belly until Conrad made a motion towards her. He tried all of season one basically to come between them in someway shape or form. He sent a Flippin firework off in their direction because he couldn’t handle them talking to each other and almost kissing. I’m not saying that Conrad is a saint because he’s not trust me he has his flaws. But everyone seems to think that Jeremiah can do no wrong and that Conrad is the bad guy and all this and that they only really want to see Jeremiah happy. You can see throughout both seasons how much Conrad is in love with belly. if we’re talking about how Conrad had all this time to say how he feels Jeremiah also had the same amount of time when they were growing up to how they felt. Like Conrad had said earlier in this episode Jeremiah was hooking up with several people in season one belly wasn’t even on his radar until like I’ve already said Conrad wanted to go for.

It was so hard for him to spit out the words If she chooses you…..“ I’ll let her go” like it was so hard for him to say it but he is so caring and selfless even if it means letting belly go forever to be with Conrad he just wanted her to be happy and that’s why I will ALWAYS be team jere ❤

As an Conrad rooter I do agress Jere did a lot of growing up torwards the end of this season, he still has his things he need to work on, but he became more selfless which I love bc he wans't in the beginning imo. Conrad does grow too though, it's baby steps for him but you can see he is/was starting to open up more and more. Conrad stepped aside as well, he chose not to tell Belly how he feels bc he knows he isn't in the right place to be with her. So both brothers did big here.

@@Jennifer-xe5yc Conrad only did that AFTER Jeremiah had that talk with him about telling Belly how he really feels about her. His initial reaction to seeing Belly and Jeremiah together was to try and not only annoy the hell out of them and make it awkward in the car on the ride home but also to make sure that he drives a wedge between them, that they feel guilty for leaving him behind and trying to be happy together without him. So was Conrad initially mature and selfless about Belly and Jeremiah being together?… No, he was NOT. He threw a passive aggressive temper tantrum in the car right after catching them together against the car and tried pushing them both away as well as behave like a big jerk at the same time. Jeremiah was the first one to say that if Belly knows how Conrad truly feels about her and still chooses to be with him instead of Jeremiah afterwards he would let her go completely and allow Conrad and Belly to be together. Even though it potentially meant sacrificing his own happiness, he’s only ever wanted them both to be happy. Matter of fact I don’t believe Conrad would have spoken up about his feelings for Belly if Jeremiah had told him to, he probably would’ve bottled everything up inside and taken the passive aggressive route, like always, and allowed his emotions to make him bitter towards Belly and his own brother which is the last thing he needs to do. Jeremiah has always been the selfless one here, NOT Conrad.

Belly doesn’t deserve either of the the fisher brother,but I am team Conrad and will always be but the way belly just switched brothers when she could not have Conrad was the worst thing ever to see because they both said that they don’t want to hurt each other anymore and then after Conrad wrote the most important test of his life belly and Jere were kissing on Conrad car,in Conrad’s hoodie,on his school grounds and in front of his eyes is just messed up. Connie baby deserves way more that belly in my opinion and so does Jere even though I’m team Conrad. This is a really amazing scene because you can really see the raw feelings between Jere and Conrad but i feel that they are both doing the right thing. Jere told Conrad that if Belly chose him then he would stop going after and let him have her and Conrad was trying to hide his feelings because that's all he knows how to do. I'm team Jeremiah but in order for Conrad to have a real relationship that will last he needs to go to therapy and get help with his communication skills and all the trauma that he's going through

I love Jeremiah. He deserves someone who he will always be first choice.

I was team Conrad from the beginning but in the last episode that one scene made me think that Belly made the right choice where Conrad confesses that he still wants Belly but the next morning he says he didn't mean it, that was really heartbreaking at least he should have been honest with her and should have sticked to his confession no matter how much the truth hurts. I mean i know Conrad loved belly a lot and their chemistry is unmatched but in a relationship you need more than that. Its really important to feel secure and loved and that is where Jeremiah comes in the picture. He really is right for Belly because not only does he make her feel loved and wanted. He makes her feel that she is secure and he is got her back in this relationship. He is not gonna just push Belly away like Conrad does whenever things are gonna become tough. He is honest with her even if he thinks that Belly is not gonna choose him in the end and i think that is really amazing.

Steven saying that Jere do not challenge her.. from where I stand, Jere and Connie do challenge her..the thing is, with Jere with the challenge comes the support and the safe feeling. And there is nothing wrong loving someone that makes you feel safe..not all women wants to feel like they are a soldier and the boyfriend is the war itself!! It’s exhausting dealing with someone that always keeps important things from you in the relationship because this person thinks “he knows better or is doing better”..better for who???? At least give your partner a choice to decide…but no..Connie thinks he knows better.. so yeah…maybe in the future he becomes better, but right NOW….the younger brother is the better choice..safe, easy, relaxing, communicative and supportive!! Connie is amazing, really pained me to see him heartbroken..and although I’m Jelly supportive, it was clear that Connie choose to walk away because of his love for Jere.. but was a bad move..he should have expressed clearly with Belly that he wanted her..and let Belly decide..this way the messy 3rd book would not be so wrong for Jelly fans!!!

Honestly, they should both let Belly go, I mean yes she makes Jer and Conrad happy and I know she cares for them, but in the end she still keeps hurting them not intentionally but she still does, Im sorry but at the end I would ask them is Belly worth all of this heartache and drama

Will be interesting to see how the characters develop on the show vs how we know them from the books. Some of the show characters have more depth and maturity with deviated story lines. Will be interesting to see if @jennyhan changes course a bit with the show’s storylines. She too has matured as a writer and eluded to some possible differences for S3 in the bonus episode with Gavin and Lola. Doesn’t seem they exactly know where the story will twist and turn. So….

When Conrad felt obligated and miserable and SELFISH to take Belly to her prom, contrasting with Jer taking her to her volleyball summer practice and WANTING to stay and SUPPORTING HER.. what a difference. I dont care about all these Conrad girly supporters, he may have Belly's heart because he was her first love, but the story ends there. I think the writers is slowly easing the narrative that first love never goes away, but becomes a distant memory and opens doors to true and lasting love.

can they pls both leave her. honestly. i hope belly ends up with no one but constantly chases after everyone. i want her to die an old maid with many regrets

When you have dated an emotionally blocked and poor communicating guy who lets his unresolved issues affect you and is a hot and cold with affection and conveying emotion (Conrad) you cherish a guy who validates you, communicates how he feels, empathetic, doesn’t let what ever is going on in his life becomes an excuse to ghost or push you away, encourages and brings out the best side of you (Jeremiah). Belly should’ve never dated brothers though. Especially with them going through all that.

Jeremiah's win feels like a loss. It's like winning silver, you have to lose before you win and in the end it still feels like a loss because you know you're not first.

Belly is probably the worst character in the whole series. She played with both of the boys and their feelings, and tbh, both the boys didn’t even consider how the other felt, didnt even once think if this girl is 10% even worth ruining their relationship over. Absolutely so wild to date an ex’s brother, let alone consider that, so weird. It was so sad seeing both of them being so broken over a girl who really was trying so hard to be a victim like pls good god stop trying to justify ur actions using the ‘Susannah is dead’ arc.

The love they have for each other (and I mean Conrad and Jere) is greater than the love they have for Belly, because for me the only reason Conrad talked to Belly is for Jere, because he asked him to at 4:40 . And the fact that Jere only want Conrad to be happy (even if it meant for Conrad to be with Belly), shows how much he loves his brother too. This was the conversation they needed to have. No hate, no fighting, just pure understanding and love.

Wow very selfless of Jeremiah. That’s more then I can say for Conrad who was nothing but an arse hole to her. I know their moms death effected them both. But Jeremiah has always thought about Belly’s feelings before his own and that shows true feelings emotions and maturity. If Conrad loved her he wouldn’t of hurt her. Jeremiah is selfless Conrad is the total opposite of that.

It was so difficult for Jeremiah to say “..then, I’ll let her go”. He knows he doesn’t want to, but he will have to if she chooses Conrad again.

I hope with all my heart that one day Billy will put things in order. Because everything suddenly overlapped. So he thought she picked Jer which is why he let her go. He wants her to be happy and for Jer to be happy too. He also promised his mother he’d take care of his brother.

Unpopular opinion...there's nothing selfless about pursuing a girl your brother dated and still loves. Jere openly admitted Connie was moping after the break up. Why flirt and then date Belly knowing this? And Connie doesn't get a pass either because he pretty much did the same thing. He should've never assumed Jere wasn't serious about Belly. Both brothers should've walked away.

first time jeremiah’s acting mature

gavin's acting here was 💯 it made me broke down the way he was saying all those to con w tears filled in his eyes. 🥹 anw no, but i cant accept if anyone said jere actively pursues her here cause its the total opposite! jere was willing to set aside his feelings for con and belly AGAIN. he didn't want to be second choice anymr nor want whatever happened last summer to happen agn. he went to talk to con to tell him to admit his true feelings for her and put aside his own happiness for THEIR happiness. in the end, its belly whom made the decision of who she wanted to be with, the way she developed feelings fr jere and is all over him this summer. con was also not sticking to one decision keeps changing his mind. i pity con at the end but he def saw whats coming.

Jeremiah carried Season 2 ❤

Conrad knows he’s struggling mentally. Their mum who literally just died told him to take care of Jere and so many people have been constantly telling him that he’s not good enough for Belly and he’s just hurting her. Including Jere and occasionally Belly herself. In this episode he sees a chance for Belly and Jere to be happy together and no matter how much it breaks his heart, he wants them to have it. I don’t think he pushed Belly away this time because he was scared. I think he genuinely thought she and Jere were better off this way, and that it would be easier for them if he was the villain and they didn’t have to feel guilty. If Belly didn’t truly believe she was breaking his heart.

I’m low key team cam but I have to admit jere being so selfless is what I live for but knowing the book is the reason people don’t like team jellyfish because of book 3.but knowing that Connie and belly end up together in book 3 it definitely be in season 3.I am low key hoping they change the ending because of the character development but I know it won’t actually happen that why
