Everybody's reading (follow rules) is good and every Muslim is required to beautify the recitation. We are advised to read and reflect. I heard about a companion who took 12 years to memorize Al-Baqarah as he was implementing each ayah in his life.

For him there are angels who keep him in turn, from the front and behind him. They guarded him at God's command. Indeed, Allah will not change the state of a people before they change their own condition. And when Allah wills harm against a people, there is no one to reject it, and there is no protector for them but Him
