Salahuddin Ayyubi Rahmatullah Alaih fought relentless wars against crusaders until even his army refused to continue fighting. His determination for Islam and honor has given him the rank of warrior of Islam that will live forever. On his tombstone is inscribed , Ya allah open the gates of paradise for him, as he opened the gates of Aqsa for the ummah

Very interesting discussion. Sheikh is spot on , zenji and shirkuh instrumental figures in reestablishing Muslim control in the Middle East during the crusades had interesting backgrounds, hardly the model Muslims you would usually think of. Shirkuh was an amazing military commander.

May Allah SWT grant Gazi Salahuddin Ayubi Jannatul Firdous. Ameen.

Khalid and Salahuddin are true HERO’s of ISLAM and everyone should pray for them everyday. Remember them. Inshallah.

The day was 2nd October 1187 in which the first Jummah was held after 88 years at Al Aqsa. The whole compound was purified with rose water. Jersusalem was the lost camel of the believer according to an excerpt from the Khatib of that Jummah Khutbah. May it return to our hands again sooner .

I wish that this lecture reaches those who are bringing the past of Imran Khan to get him disqualified, from the days when he was not close to deen. That man as a prime minister raised his voice on a global forum about the honour and love of our beloved prophet Mohammad saw and and what it means to us. How the blasphemous content hurt our hearts as an Ummah and made a huge impact 😢. In his home country he is facing all sorts of challenges with such dignity but the opposing forces are being as stubborn as can be. They are trying to use any personal shortcomings that he had and even not shying away to call him ‘yahoodi agent’. SubhanAllah! May Allah swt open their eyes to see the truth. Ameen

Shekh is intelligent and understands what's happening . If our youth today gets closer to religion by following people like Khabib or someone like Andrew Tate, let them be rather than leaving the deen.

There’s nothing wrong with Andrew Tate or khabib, he (Tate) explains how western societies just indulge in degeneracy and not discipline Tate is new to Islam so he has a lot to learn including Islamic history

This lecture fits well within the maxim of Sheik YQ's " Islaam as a religion is divine but Islaamic history is human". But at the end of the day every thing boils down to " end doesn't justify the means". Allah ( Jal) is the ultimate and the best Judge and we leave everything to Him and Him alone.

I think Yasir Qadhi's point about the human faults of our hero's is so important because some of us feel as if we can never be like them because of our faults.

These history khatiras are my absolute favs. I love learning from sheikh YQ. I've always been curious about Salahudeen Ayubi and only heard bits and pieces of his story. May Allah bless YQ and other teachers.

Same here I am learning so much!! The one about Hajr e Assad was mind blowing because no one has ever given us the facts on this stone!

He was building an army! He was building a strong army... he didn't have a short term goal...he knew he needed a solid army to conquer baitul maqdis and Allah blessed him with the knowledge to do so..united we are strong....we need the great warrior salahuddin al ayubi again..

YQ always bringing an introspective twist, a relevant twist, and a practical and realistic point-of-view on these topics. MashAllah, tabarakAllah.

Please make sure you get ALL of his lectures regarding history and sort them out correctly on a playlist if you can, because Wallahi they are priceless! So many people can learn so much about history from another perspective than what most people are usually taught unfortunately.

The best academic history telling I have heard in a long time. Tabarakallah

"That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case". Verse 134, AlBaqara. May Allah reward Salahuddeen Ayyubi with the highest rank in Jannah and may He guard our tongues from peaking ills and insinuating evil against the chosen servants of Allah who He put forward to uplift His Deen and protect the Umman Ameen.

Dr Qadhi, what an insightful and powerful short lecture. You know how LinkedIn shows everyone always, “onwards and upwards” while we all know nothing is ever onwards or upwards without bumps, dips, pits and circles. This is how KG level understanding and simplistic worldview of 1.8B people have to evolve through the much needed reality check. This summary does exactly that.

MashaAllah..May ALLAH swt bless and protect the Shiek and his Jammah and all Muslims in wherever place. The Sheik and Jammah, to my humble mind, is so really good to have that blessed forum of good education about Islam. Great lecture! We see two contemporary examples in Erdogan and Imran Khan of politicians from which to learn lessons. One of them has clearly done things that are questionable but has remained hyper aware of his detractors and opponents so he can stay in power. The other failed to keep his eyes on his opponents and saw his power swiftly taken away through bribery, threats and siyasa. Cunning and guile are requisites of successful politics in the dunya.

We wish and can hope another future leader will come doing much better, the awareness of islam in our youth is increasing compared to 20-30 years ago, if those era can produce the like of erdogan and imran khan, i pray to Allah Swt that in this generation will produce a lot of talented muslim leaders and politician in the future, insha Allah the future is going to the right direction
