You right. Can not wait for the next season. I boght a book because of this tv show. But, these series are so much better in the way how shows their relationships between Connell and Marianne.

I’ve watched this show three times! Such an amazing portrayal of the struggles of depression/anxiety, trauma and relationship dynamics... every time I watch it I pickup on even more nuisances. these two did this work justice! so bittersweet.

This will be one of my favorite series forever.

More people need to watch this! Agggh they are so frustrating yet so endearing at the same time!

Why do they want to watch a completely unrealistic tv show version of the titanic?

I can identify with Connell. I had a on again-off again relationship with a beautiful girl in high school who came from a dysfunctional family. We "saw the world the same way", but her neediness for me was a turn-off. We were both intoxicated with sex, but she would occasionally succumb to a manic-depressive condition that became impossible for her to hide. Those moments were really scary and she refused to get help, so I left. I think my life has been easier since we parted and I still feel terrible about leaving, but that physical attraction and chemistry when she was lucid has never been equaled. I doubt it can be.

If the physical attraction and chemistry were so high and u were in love with her for awhile then wouldn't you rather stay and keep her in your safe space , help her deal with her monsters and reason her to get therapy... Sorry I know ofc it was hard for u but I hate good relationships failing because of not withstanding crashing waves and remember every relationship needs work despite the reasons to break apart or nevertheless how perfect everything is

As someone from a dysfunctional family, I would say while I am drowning, I would want the one person I am vulnerable with to love me unconditionally. It is a lonely world to be born into such a family. I know it must have been hard for you but her neediness was probably as a result of loneliness.

Wonderful series,beautiful people, I'm an old man,but it took me back to my nerdy,teenage years, the need to be loved & the longing that entailed from that,fabulous acting!

This is the best tv show ever. I just can’t get over how incredible it was.

I completely fell in love with these two especially the first 3 episodes

[ Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology or TV Movie] About time too! Excellent news; well done Daisy for your brilliant performance. However, Paul Mescal snubbed.

Finished this show a few days ago and my heart literally hasn’t stopped hurting. 💔 This edit is beautiful and the music is just so perfect - my heart hurts all over again! I’m just telling myself they end up together even if we didn’t get to see it. 💔

This was incredibly, beautifully made! The audio merging wasn’t awkward or off at all and both the song and them could still be heard. Slight color changes (i think) were very nice, and the order the clips were in was perfect. Awesome job, i’m in love with this video 💛

@@perspectiveee I thought about my boyfriend when Connel spoke about Marianne at his counselling session. My boyfriend ex soldier still has his memories remember he told me when he had his counselling he mentioned me that I have been good towards him always beside him

I love them both so much. Connell and Marianne but also Paul and Daisy😭💔

An absolutely brilliant video. Very well done! You see Daisy, you should drop that utterly inept and amateurish Varey. The Daily Mail headline of 27 Jan 2021, says it all. It reads: Paul Mescal insists 'there wasn't a huge amount of acting going on' in his realistic sex scenes with Normal People co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones because he 'liked her very much' The ‘chemistry wasn’t just superb acting, it was real! He continues: You know when you have "it",' of having chemistry with his scene partner. 'I knew when I was with Daisy that it felt natural, that there wasn't a huge amount of "acting" going on. 'Gushing about his co-star, Paul added: 'When you have that chemistry it makes it so much fun! Daisy and I liked each other very much' So that's probably the root of it: having a similar sense of humour, thinking about the world in a relatively similar way and being able to communicate all that.'

@@kristinesordia They're perfect together - but it's infuriating seeing them always on edge. Just wanna slap their heads together and tell them that everything's going to be alright. Yes I've taken it too seriously - but it's a magical piece of tv.

I mentioned this elsewhere. I heard Lenny Abrahamson say that he employed a cameraman to shoot in the background continuously and then they would cross reference to get the best camera angles lighting and distances. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but it's part of the magic.

Daisy E-J is beautiful but why have a drip of a boyfriend like Tom Varey when she could almost anyone. She's got more talent in her little finger than he has in the whole of his body. His acting in G of Thrones was awful, but he still keep insisting that she's his private property! Drop him Daisy...the soon the better! He's after a meal ticket.
