Thanks for this video! Connected my a3 as well. I had previously installed an aftermarket headunit with aux and bluetooth connections, but the rear speakers and sub were not working. I know that it was a lot of hassle to get the rear speakers and sub working so i decided to put the original headunit back. Thanks a lot

I'd be kinda irritated with the cable sticking out of that gap right in the middle.... Better pull it through the cigarette lighter or drill a tiny hole somewhere near. I'm kinda obsessive about these details..

Could run it through glove box but I didn't fancy all that as it was a temp till I got a direct USB stereo :) I can see what you mean though lol

Just got an Audio extension cable and took off glove box and routed down the side, cable sits nicely tucked away in net pocket and in through the triangular hole in centre trim much much tidier and a 5 minute job no more annoying ugly wire

Great help thanks a lot! Sound only seems to be coming out of my right hand side speakers using the aux input? All speakers work when playing CD's and radio, was wondering if this was the case with you as well! Cheers

+Dylan Murray know both my side of speakers worked... if only one side is working it might be a faulty loom or a setting on the radio but as you said it only works it only does that with the auxiliary input which makes me think either a wire is set up incorrectly on the harness or your songs on the device are not set up to play stereo = both sides...but I think prob faulty harness you received..ask for exchange......

Yh mate why not. Only negative function is having to control output source if you've got a mixture of kiddie music and your own lol if you're not as unfortunate to share your iPod as me, press shuffle and you're sorted 👍

It only activates once a cd changer (connect box, mp3 box, bluetooth box) is connected as the pins do not have anything to respond to..

I have the same connections which I bought from dynamic sound few years ago just didn't get around to install After disconnecting than reconnecting the CD player would the player ask for a security code? I am just worried about that as I don't have the code the the player Thanks

Probably a silly question, but is the top input (on the rear that plugs into the red adapter) for the power? I have recently purchased an A3 with this same stereo and would like to listen to my own music. However, i don't have a radio code for it (its been removed from the cars handbook) and am concerned that after paying for this adapter i may have to pay an additional cost to have the radio unlocked. Thanks in advance.

+Gbishop96 not too sure about plugs without seeing it in person...there should be a diagram on the radio too, when I unplugged mine and put it back it didn't ask for code because I believe it will only ask for code if you plug your radio into a car it wasn't coded to ...

Would this work on my 2007 Audi A3? The product says it's only for A3s up to 2003, but mine has the concert 2 in it

+Grant Woods if it's the same as mine it'll work fine! It works on all audi concert 2s as far as the back has the space for the multicoloured plugs to go into...if your car has a cd changer in the glovebox you'll need to remove the cd changer connector from the back of the stereo and plug the connects 2 plug instead...

got the same in my s3 mate, via 6 cd changer it connect. ever get an issue flicking over to it?

+Kash V nope never, maybe check earth cable if loose, if not it's faulty unit...they're very basic and shouldn't play up really

Do audi make a stereo that comes with Bluetooth etc etc that you can buy amd slots in ?

+Kwesi Sarkodie-Mensah I think there are some adapters that allow you to change tracks but only for usb. As far as I'm aware there are no aux in adapters that allow you to change the track using the stereo, it can only be changed using the device

Yo g can you still have cds in the cd changer while using the aux?

Hmmmm just done install and sound only coming out of front speakers. Read something about stereo input only coming out of front channels on multivhannel devices but didn't expect this to be the case. Anyone else had similar?

I have this problem with my blue tooth devices. I think it's a Motorola mk600 but yeah the sound quality is awful so was looking into doing aux as direct. Seems I may end up with same problem ffs. I may need to take it to a place in Exeter that is meant to sell the harnesses that can sort this out. I heard it's hit and miss with audi and you may also have to do a ground loop or some thing. Grrr lol. I am sorting mine this week so I will update you let you know how I got on. Its defo jteky the same problem. The sound quality is no where near as good as the radio or CD and It distorts at loud volumes and don't think it uses the subs

The left side key isn’t working . It comes right out. Any suggestions on how I can get that side out ?

Not sure Pamela, it seems the clip inside the radio is stuck open, it should mean you could pull out the radio and then check it out, once one side has the clip in use a plastic pry tool to try and lever it out... also compare the keys and make sure they are both same shape and none are bent or missing a ridge...

and if it hasnt a cd changer,it also works?

I believe it is just a auxiliary cable that goes from 3.5mm audio from the phone to the box which converts the cable to something that can plug into the stereo? I'm not too sure to be honest mate. Nothing wrong mate, just fancied something different with more functions... the connects 2 box is really good for its price and does a simple job, but it does not charge the iPod plugged in and does not allow you to change songs with the radio...Thanks for watching! Subscribe & like! TW

Yeh definitely mate...just need to make sure you have the right box as there are different types depending on what speaker setup you have... not really, if you see there is pin 4/5 that is S- that is basically ground for signal that is also just the ground... so if he got that pin on he don t need to get additional ground... anywaay the connect2 is sh*t of doing their pcb... i ve got one in my a3, just stopped connecting itself from day to another, then their support is also unavailable at any time, just asking how to format correstly usb or why its stopped working, and they don t know or don t reply...
