Out of all the videos on the internet on how to connect and use the Pulsar Thermion ballistic app this is by far, hands down the best. Thank you for making outstanding instructional videos!

I completely endorse the comment, that your instructional video on this latest Pulsar LRF offering, is one of the best out there. I was at a PULSAR demo evening last week at Tomintoul Scotland and I bought one of these, which I’m trying to get to grips with and your video has been extremely helpful and informative, so much so, that I brought to the attention of the Thomas Jacks people U.K. how we’re lacking in U.K. for decent Pulsar instructional videos and mentioned yours, Fox Optics together with Ben from hunt the night and Nathan from Edge of the Outback both Australia. To reiterate, nobody does these thermal related videos better. Way back, your discussion and comparisons on the early Thermions led me to buy the XM50 model and at one stage had three mounted on different rifles. Your deep dives into the workings of these various thermal devices has also been of inordinate value and help. Look forward to more

The left hand recording through the scope was preformed by simply hitting the REC button on the scope while in video mode. (Look in the top left of your display and if you see a video camera icon it's in video mode, if you see a camera icon do a long press on the REC button first to switch to video mode) A short REC button press will start recording and you should see a red dot and timer activate. Another short press will pause or resume recording and a long press while recording will stop and save the video. I mean if I want to develop some software and communicate with rifflescope programmatically from externall app - fetch video, change settings and profiles, etc. Thanks

@SuperBatiskaf The Stream Vision 2 wifi application (this is a different app than the Bluetooth controlled Stream Vision ballistics) already allows video transfer and remote operation of most scope functions. If you interested in app development opportunities, I would contact Yukon Global directly, I am guessing they don't allow this.

@@foxoptic5887 stream vision 2 works very well, for hunting. I need some approach for the targets moving on the air at pretty high speed. I guess yukon will be against my initiatives. A lot of Thanks

I’m at a lose. I’m zeroed at 100m, but after getting a range approximately 200m and it appears to mesh with the ballistics calculator, the shots drop nearly 12 inches below target. I’m aiming with the “X” location after the rangefind. Windage is negligible.

Why does updating the URF version for xq38 have errors with small white dots on the viewfinder screen?

Hey Travis on the XG 50 LRF if you change the reticle do you need to re zero the scope?

You don't need to re-zero after a reticle change. The center of the reticle is set to the same coordinate value as the previous reticle when you switch them. (A few of the competitors units do require rezeroing on reticle changes)

What do you do when your device doesn’t have a Bluetooth option to connect? I have an axion XG35 lrf and thermion XG50 lrf. Neither one has a Bluetooth option in the settings, only Wi-Fi. I can’t get them to connect to streamvision or streamvision 2. This is incredibly frustrating.

When I updated to the newest firmware for the ballistic feature my rangefinder quit working and won’t display or read the range….Any thoughts?

I have not heard of this before. I know the rangefinder button functions changed a little on the update. The button must be short-pressed once to activate and a second short press to take a range reading in the standard mode and now you can just "hold or long press" to expedite going into SCAN mode.

I asked Pulsar and they said that once the Thermion LRF is working as designed they will implement an update for the Trail 2.

Looks great but in reality does not work well. The app itself readjusts your parameters to metric values. Also, when you move a profile to the scope the app changes your profile values. Mine constantly change to bullet weight of 100g, length of 10mm, caliber 7.62. Also if you pull a profile from your scope and use the "add to library" function the profile does not get saved to the cloud and when you log in next time it is gone. Now when you go to the xp50 and try to use the BC it gets even worse. I end up with a blinking red screen. I sent my scope back under warranty. Pulsar sent me a new on. Still have the same problem. Oh, you can use your scope as before without the new BC (turn it off) even after updating to the latest firmware. But by now your old settings may be all gone as mine are. Luckily I wrote them down.

You have obviously had a much different experience with the app operation than I have. The only app "issue" you mention that I have encountered is that they do read the unit move equivalencies in metric (21mm @ 100M, determined by the unit's FOV(Base Magnification and focal length)). however, this can be easily converted to Imperial approx. 0.75" @ 100 Yds @ 2X (reduces as magnification increases) I hope there comes a day when preferred scope units can simply be selected and the program applies the correct corresponding magnification/FOV on its own to present more user-friendly click values. (This would be more of a convenience than a necessity) The red/orange screen flash is typically caused by a firmware corruption issue while this certainly does happen from time to time with any brand of these devices, it is not very common, especially on the Pulsar products.

Mine is also changing the yardage back to mm and even more frustrating is changing the yardage and scope height etc. back to what it was originally even though I made sure I’ve hit the save button……

How to get real-time athmospheric details for ballistic calculator automatically updated. Profile is based on zeroing weather details and this data is recorded in scope with stream vision app, but if you need to shoot in different athmospheric condition, ballistic calculator can do mistake. For example Kestrel Link use real time athmospheric and Wind Data to provide ballistic adjustment, but with this app, all is based on zeroing weather data. With this app you need to enter new current data on shooting field, this is bad idea.

The audio certainly could have been a bit better, we had a little snafu.
