Thank you. Your video answered my initial question. You have a great presentation style; easy for those, like myself, who are not tech savvy. One more question, though. If I use Word on my Cell Phone to write manuscripts, can I work from a thumb drive? And, (this may reveal the depth of my ignorance) how can this small phone handle the same processes as my huge laptop? I am imagining my phone 'melting' if I try to edit my 399 page manuscript using Word on my phone. Can I overheat my phone?

Hi Nice video...one question though, I just got the exact same adapter but when I plug in my Google pixel 4xl or Samsung Galaxy tab I get no display..and this is the second adapter I got .. Nothing shows on my Hisense tv or my Dell monitor...my monitor does as if something is detected but nothing shows .. Any help? I'd really appreciate it And I'm using Android 13

Btw phones before 2017 could do this too. early phones used MHL to HDMI Output there was MHL 1.0,2.0 & 3.0 using a special MHL Adapter either a 5 pin micro USB for most phones then Samsung came out with a 11 pin MHL adapter for phones Like the S3 and later. Most LG devices used Slimport to HDMI which is based on DisplayPort Technology. Lastly phones that don't support any of these including USB C 3.1 to HDMI using Display port tech can use DisplayLink tech but it needs a special hub type box and you also need to install the DisplayLink app/software to make it work. There is also another similar method than involves a special cord and installing a app to make this work too.

There are USB-C to HDMI cables that most mobile devices support nowadays. The adaptor is handy for the additional USB port for additional devices.

Hello... My Samsung galaxy C7 pro display is dead. I cannot see anything also the touch doesn't works. It is also pin locked. Can I connect this phone too as you did? I saw somewhere that in samsung mobile we need to agree to the pop up in mobile screen after that only screen would be shared on monitor. Please reply I need to back up my data from it.

Providing you have not disabled the screen settings, yes. If you have, the only way to reenable them that I know of (for security purposes) is via the mobile screen.

What's the best way for me to watch KZread on a bigger screen I heard about a screen that magnifys your phone would that be correct I've got a small really old telly what would I need I haven't got a lot of money 💰 I would be grateful for any help please John 🙂 x?

I was using a Huawei for the demo but Samsung, Sony, and most modern USB-C style mobile devices using the latest android OS.

OY! Are ya tellin me, I canna use me trusty brick phone anymore? It has a totally standard RS232 port, but I canna find any display adapter for it! It is only 38 years old, younger than me stereo!

Check the HDMI cable you are using. Some do not support audio from mobile. Not sure how old that cable is. The other thing to check is the audio output your mobile. Check the output is going through the cable and not the device or via Bluetooth etc.

🤣😂 Shown throughout the entire video plus you see me "plug it in" from 4:40. Why on earth would you actually need to see a focus on plugging it in? Have you never plugged something in before?
