I plugged in the output (USB type B port - printer type port) to the phone USB type C port. It works only when I play some keys in the phone"s screen, but when I play in the piano's keyboard, there are no connection to that direction. I don't know why! I tried connecting my computer keyboard to my phone, with the adapter, and I am able to type on my phone with my computer keyboard. Hi thanks for subscribing! Personally I use garageband on an iPad which is great but on Android I've heard "Audio Evoloution Studio" is good, it costs a small amount like $6 but will allow you to compose songs etc.

I was going to get that keyboard before I snagged an Alesis on an Amazon package deal. The Yamaha 125 was recomended as an excellent no 'bells & whistles' piano keyboard.. Looking up the specs again it looks like this would work using a USB cable the same as in the video. Looks like I have the same thing on my keyboard too.. chunky USB into the keyboard with standard USB out on the other end so you'll need that adaptor to plucg into your phone or tablet. So yes should work.

I wonder if it has to do with the phone or tablet manufacturer...because on my Samsung A8 tablet (Androind 11) there's NO OPTION at all to switch to "Midi". On my Motorola E7 there is...BUT it stopped working after the updates...it worked for a while after the phone purchase and I rushed to "update", and now it' gone...on the Samsung there's no "Midi" switch at all....crying with frustration after 30 years as a synth guy, using even Atari 1040. I wonder what the h... these "programmer guys" do, ruining everything that worked before.

A better way is connecting a powered USB C hub to the phone, then connecting the keyboard and a USB DAC to the hub. The headphone jack use the phones DAC, its pretty low quality and of course offer less flexibility than a USB DAC

I have the same problem. Tested on tablets (Lenovo and Samsung) that have USB-C and Android 12 and 13 and it won't work. On my phone with micro-USB and Android 8 it works flawless. So it might be an Android-thing, or newer devices are shit and manufacturers think nobody needs this or else they buy Apple devices ... i absolutly woun't buy an Apple device :S
