Conistone Village Walk Towards Grassington | Yorkshire Dales National Park | 4K

Enjoy this Spring walk around the beatiful village of Conistone, which is two miles from the popular village of Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. I got caught out by some serious rain, as you can see at the end, where i had to stop filming! The village is set in characteristic limestone scenery, including Mossdale Caverns, the dry gorge of Conistone Dib and the limestone outcrop of Conistone Pie. Above the Dib the Dales Way path connects Kettlewell, to its north, and Grassington, to its south, providing distant views over Wharfedale. From the B6160 road, the Wharfe is crossed at Conistone by a stone-arch bridge, which is within easy walking distance of Kilnsey, with its Crag.

Yes, this is definitely one of the quieter ones..no pub or shops! Definitely the place to live for Tranquility!

Thank you very much Ian.. I have been wanting to film this little village for a while.. I think this is one of the nicest in the Dales.. very quiet and remote..however, there are so many in the Dales, with their own unique identity. Found this village by chance a while ago.. did you see that rain at the end..not best for my camera and gimble!😄

That ended too soon! 😅What strikes me is not only how neat and orderly these villages are with a sense of antiquity we don't have in the US but also the fact that you can just walk anywhere blows my mind! Here in New England there are 'No Trespassing' and 'Posted' signs at every turn and you wouldn't dream of just tromping through someone's farm!! This is one of my favorite things about the UK😊.

Yes, we have the freedom to rome through alot of landscapes, farms etc.. which makes exploring very interesting.. the Yorkshire Dales has village after village like this..its a really unique national park 🐑🥾
