Good helpful video, thanks for posting it. Although I have to say that Chris did almost all the disciplines in the Mode 1 test during his hours long ride to the test centre, almost did a U turn as well. So it just makes me think that the mode 1 test is just a waste of time and money. Just my opinion of course.

RJH Motorbike Training Manchester Thanks mate. I did it in Leighton Buzzard. Like i said before i wouldve liked to come to you guys but the travel would just be too much for me + hotel fees on top. Sadly wasnt a clean sheet, 2 minors. It was raining (dry all day until literally 5 minutes before i started my test) which made me just more cautious on the emergancy stop. I was actually going a tad faster than 32mph as well so my stopping distance was further than he wouldve liked to see. And the other minor was for stalling it right at the end of the slow ride, finished inside the box still was just late pulling the clutch in. Nerves again i think as its not like me to stall it, dont think ive stalled previously in a lesson. At the end of the day its a pass so im happy with that :)

I realise these are the rules necessary to pass, but I find it hard to understand why we should check mirrors before braking in situations like traffic lights, or cars pulling out. Appreciate it's correct to know what is going on all around, and the effect braking may have on vehicles behind. But is braking not the priority? The second or two lost when checking mirrors before braking could be the difference between causing a collision and not. Extremely helpful videos are helping me prepare for an upcoming DAS.

The priority is to know whats around you before you take action ie: brake. If you don't you are leaving yourself very vulnerable.

Very useful video. Thanks. Surely, at 4.30 he should have been in the middle of that lane, not the right (you pointed out that he was positioned over to the left). It's a right-only turn so why would he have to be over to the right in that particular case? Thanks.

Could someone help me out with answering this please.. I am 29, done my cbt again to prepare to start my direct access course, the instructor for direct access told me I will need to do another cbt on the 650, at 210 pounds again, before I can start the direct access course! This sounds like a complete sham. Am I right in saying this is not the case and that I should I should be able to start lessons as I expected and then do the mod1 and mod2 when I have done enough lessons? (Ps I also competed the theory after I redone the cbt). Surely it makes ZERO sense to haveto do a cbt on a 125 and then immediately after do another cbt on the 650 before you can do th DAS? Isn't that the whole point of the lessons??. I hope someone can help answer this. Thanks
