It's great that we East Africans can get into DRC, and continue conversations as if we are back home. Kiswahili kweli kitukuzwe.
Africa is teaching the worldwide greening lesson.
It is a cultural thing for the people living in Goma! I live in Kinshasa and there is not even a single Chukudu
Western are making expensive vehicles and planes out of DRC minerals, and here they are struggling with wooden products. May God help Africa.
one to three days to build? are you joking? minimum 1 week if you have all materials avaiable and good experience
100 dollars a day?? Total nonsense. DR Congo is one of the poorest countries in the world. Not even civil servants working for the government make that kind of money. Unless you meant Zimbabwean or Venezuelan currency

That poverty the west talks about African countries is all in their mind to elevate their citizens to make them feel they are the best and even when they are suffering homelessness, paycheck to paycheck , you would have to go there and see to find out the truth about how much he makes
Haha one chukudu is between 500$-600$ that is 50k-60k ksh which you can easily get a second hand motorbike
Our people are inventive and smart.

too bad they didnt even "invent" / "build" this scooter, some white portugeese guy showed them how to build it xDD

@@tezy0193 this portugeese made this scooter ugly, as if it was made by kids, very small dungling wheels without rubber, huge and short crossbar, low helm cage. But congolessys improved beyong recognition, thanks to them this scooter looks cool with elegant forms and is fast
Wow
What a shame the world is the way it is with wars and needless suffering ect... When every last country has its own unique thing that they are great at. If people weren't busy suffering, imagine what we could do together......

Better technology that the Flintstones' cars.
Am hard pressed to believe that the Chukudu rider makes $100/day…yet he can’t afford to upgrade into a regular motorcycle

How much is a 100 dollars in the DRC? You can't value the dollar in kenya to the one in congo. In Somalia, you can just buy miraa and soda and enjoy your 100 dollars in style whereas in Kenya u can buy mogoka 200 and soda plus njugu and spend about 300 for the same leisure.

Yes, he's exaggerating the price. I watched another video that said it costs 50 USD today, while it used to cost 100 USD some years ago. Also, the average revenue is much less.
