Edison?? Well what an example to use 😂 Whist I applaud your attempt to inspire, I believe Edison was a cheat, liar and thief. He stole and cheated his way through the Freemason world. Tesla was the real champion and successor and was made to be laughed at by those below him. Success in this world is mostly stolen by some greedier, more ruthless, sly and cunning. Hence the phrase- “nice guys finish last” The world is one big lie!

@@otienodavid.5850 that’s the point realistically we know what our talents/capabilities are, and what we can achieve. A lot of us just suffer from fear of failure, and are afraid to bet on ourselves. A lot of us never reach our full potential because we’re afraid of what others think. You only get one life. The Bible saids “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”. Keep God 1st and keep chasing your goals.

The art of living is a serenity in itself, to live out our days content and present in our own way of life. The universal nature's impulse was to create an orderly world, it follows that everything now happening must follow a reasonable sequence, remembrance of this will help us to face many things calmly.
Nice content
Yes, I’ve let entropy and chaos get out of control. I haven’t taken small steps of humility and caused too much trouble. I’m trying to be a bit disciplined now but I have a massive record of drifting.

What happens if you do drift? What happens if you are able to maintain some semblance of control of your self within sanity? I would like to hear this side...when the supposed cues become obsession and malicious to individual entity that becomes aware...I would finish my thought but rather have in person conversation
Maybe He does
Agreed ,but can you control that side of you.

If your constantly building housing when do you have a home? Where does the child in you stay and get rest and consistency. Why do we need a better house? The house is arbitrary. We are to grow better and stronger and wiser within the house we have.

Is outsourcing your sanity to an insane world a sane thing to do though?
This is a man who has introjected a lot of negativity from his family of origin and has failed to have compassion for that poor, wounded kid who is still hiding somewhere deep inside of him. That dejected, wounded kid (now wearing a big man’s suit) now tries valiantly to make sense of his woundedness by coming up with ‘rules’ that help him to feel better about how he had to twist his mind and suppress his emotions to adapt to his early environment. The number of times he mentions the words stupid, lazy, and incompetent points to what he has internalized and now wants to generalize to the broad population so he’s not alone in secretly feeling like nothing he’s done will ever be enough. I’d love to see Dr. Peterson risk some extreme emotional vulnerability and sit down with Dr. Gabor Mate for some compassionate inquiry about his early childhood experience. He has some good ideas but obfuscates the main issue (is there even a main issue identified here? He is so tangential). I’m left with the impression that Dr. Peterson does indeed ‘outsource the problem of his sanity.’ As long as his public continues to unconditionally validate everything he says, he will continue to believe himself sane. It’s actually kind of brilliant, what he does here - if you can follow the twists and turns of his mind - to get his unacknowledged emotional needs met in this way. He’d have you believe that he’s interested in helping society, in helping YOU, and part of that may be true, but what he says here is mostly about the psychology of his very own mind, not of the ‘mind’ in general. Just consider this when you listen to him: He’s telling you all about HIMSELF. You may or may not fit into his descriptions. This is not truth, or doctrine, it’s simply one (emotionally wounded and unhealed) man’s opinion about how to organize his thinking in order to survive the world (but is it the inner or outer world? - I’m guessing inner). He refers to himself in the second and third person. Just substitute the pronoun ‘I’ for you/he/they in his dialog and you’ll understand these ideas he espouses are his way to reconcile how conflicted he feels about his internal experience. I know - you feel like he’s speaking to you, but that’s because your wounded parts are identifying with his wounded parts. If you believe as he does, and you tell him so, it will help him to believe he’s really ok. Dr. Peterson, somewhere down deep you are ok, but this is not the most effective way for you to get that message to yourself.

When I was a child of about age 6, I had a dream. In it, my mother stood at my bedroom door and laughed at me. She grew claws and fangs and was joined by my father, who did the same. I cried, in my dream. My parents laughed at me. “Look, our little monster is crying!” And I looked at myself. I had grown sharp claws. I could feel fangs in my mouth. Coarse hair had covered my arms. I am a monster, too. Then I woke up.:)

Desiree Nicole, such a kind statement! I’m not sarcastic, I’m sincere. I think you’re right, in a positive sense. Of course, my parents weren’t monsters, any more than I am. But in my child’s dreaming mind, I saw us all as monsters. Isn’t that the way, though? We’re all a bit of both. What do we aspire to?:)

Little Girl: What’s on your arm Me: They’re battle scars Little Girl: You fought in a war? Me: Yeah a long and hard one Little Girl: That’s so cool! Can I get one? Me: No please do not ever get any. But ill tell you what. Whenever you see someone with battle scars, I want you to give them a hug okay? Can you promise me that? A few days later we went to a short shopping spree. Suddenly the little girl let go of my hand and ran up to a random teenager Teenager: Why are you hugging me? Little girl: Because.....points you have battle scars just like my babysitter The teen looks up at me and I roll up my sleeve to show her, with tears in her eyes she says one thing..... Teenager: My war is far from being finished yet, but I’m not done fighting She bends down at the little girl. Teenager: Thanks forgiving me the strength to keep fighting. You are forever be my war hero This is not mine. I just share it cuz it’s beautiful. Share it to others Did you know you cant breath when you smile? Chillax I just wanted you to smile
