Configuration Mini-Series | How To Configure Feature Suppression and Parameters in Parts | Fusion

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video we are going to start a 3 part mini-series on configurations in Fusion. We are going to configure a set of small NEMA motors and NEMA mounting brackets, create a configured assembly, and look at configurations in drawings.
To follow along with this video you can download the NEMA motor and Bracket here:

We will be looking at NEMA 8, 11, 14, 17 configurations for both parts walking through how to deal with suppression states of features and how to handle multiple parameters in a design.

What's the difference between using configurations and making 4 separate motor files? Seems like extra steps without benefits.

Configurations allow you to keep all the data in one place. For example if you want to swap a part in an assembly, or create toolpaths for 4 variations of a part. Creating your toolpaths then switching configs is an efficient workflow. You certainly could make 1 part and Save As to make multiple copies and modify them if you want them to be separate.
