Totally!!! I was so fortunate to have a group of friends throw me a "mother to be" ceremony. It was so lovely to have a moment to celebrate the transition. When a baby is born, so is a mother, and it is beautiful and miraculous, and also stretches you and challenges you so deeply.

Motherhood is NOT some magical experience full of bunnies & butterflies. I hated the first 3-5 years. I was permanently exhausted & pretty depressed actually. It's only as my boy got older that I'm able to acknowledge that it's been one of the best times of my life. But during the bottle feeding years & the sleepless nights & just the relentlessness of it all, wow I struggled lol x

Goes to show how different everyone's journey is. I LOVE 0-6/7 after that... no thanks. Lol. I'll take sleepless nights, leaking tiddies, and toddler years before I'll take dealing with everything that goes on after they start school. I have 2 in public school and 1 in private school and if I had to do it all again, they'd all be in private school. No drama whatsoever with that particular school. I'm a little kid mom, I guess. Nothing wrong with being a big kid mom! I wish I had the patience to deal with the stuff that really doesn't matter that really gets to them that goes on at school. I guess I grew up different being first-generation, child of refugees.

True - it is hard. Being pregnant is an experienced that throws our bodies into all sorts of moods - the level of sleep deprivation that comes with a newborn is beyond what we ever though our bodies could function within - being the caretaker and full time protector of our babes is work at times - and then, on top of that, if breastfeeding, for our body to create the life then continue being the sole producer of its sustenance - I know we were programmed to love those little beings so very intensely because we might be less capable of doing it all if we didn’t love them more than air itself. We love those little precious babies as if they were our hearts walking around outside our bodies - but admitting it is hard does not mean we love them less or we are ungrateful for being their mom. I hated the experience of being pregnant. I was in so much pain the last 2-3 months.

I had a very similar situation after my first child was born. I lost most of the weight right away. The rest of the weight came off after I stopped breast feeding. My doctor told me this is common in some women (where others breastfeeding takes weight off.) So I had to be patient....and it was not easy for my self esteem. So I completely understand how you are feeling!! Now my babies are married with their own kids, it goes by so fast!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Patti 1962 the song Don't blink. I don't care where I am. If I hear that song. I start to cry. 2 years ago, I was driving our little convertible. My husband made me a playlist. That was one of the songs on the playlist. Pulling up at a light. Our light at the end of our road is a little long. Two intersections of four roads and then two intersections of two roads. So the light is a little long. A whole bunch of teens were beside me. I was crying. They hollered over, oh my goodness that song. I look over in the young girl had tears in her eyes. I said to her isn't it beautiful. I said love your parents. Truly. Because life goes by fast. My son is almost 18. Seriously don't blink and enjoy every moment. How precious I thought. Whole bunch of teenagers in a car. Crying over such a precious song that means so much to adults. Literally I can't listen to that song with dry eyes. 😭🤣😂😭🤣😂❣️

Right, nursing your baby is the way that weight actually falls off. Mammals are designed so that we put on weight specifically for our young which is then stored in the body all over. It's the excess weight you see in different parts of your body. It's actually very difficult to get get rid of it if you do NOT nurse your baby. The body wants to hold on to it, in case of a famine so your baby will always have enough food! ☺😎

I too lost my body severely whenever I was pregnant. Only having one good working kidney, had no idea. The other one was Mel rotated malformed with an 11.9 mm kidney stone in it. Couldn't push all my fluid and the baby's fluid throughout my body with one good working kidney. Every 4/6 weeks I gained 12 to 16 lb. When we removed my kidney stone, I almost died pretty scary all the weight fell off my body. It was like I had stepped in a sauna and nine days later I was 104 lb. But... In the months that I was super large. My husband was losing sight of who I once was. I told him to shut up and put a bag over his head. Going on jobs with him, having to be at the pool. In miami. Beautiful women all around. With my fat new body. You know what. I did not care. I had a pretty suit. And. I am who I am I had to be who I am. I'm not missing the beautiful sunshine cuz I'm chubby. And just like I said, when I told him to put a bag over his head and get over it. He wasn't so easy on the eyes either. We all change. When we get pregnant. And he needed to grow up. Funny that he has 15 years on me. When you said it's so hard for me to accept my body. I get it I cried. It was rough. You have to find confidence where you didn't have it before. And it's okay. Cuz guess what. That pregnancy body doesn't last forever. Your baby is still young. It's okay. Trust me. Once they get legs. You're going to lose the weight in no time. wait until he's 30 40 50 lb and you're picking him up and down and up and down and up and down. If you mind what you eat. The weight will come off. I'm so proud of you for not allowing your weight to steal this memory from you. Brava. I had to use talk text to write this and it was very difficult. I'm being tested for myasthenia gravis. I have EDS hypermobile, and vascular type. I live a very fragile life. Tonight my tongue isn't working properly. I'm messing up my words. Life is too short. Make the most of every moment. On paper I may not last very long. I would like to defy that, and set my own timeline. Working hard at that. And loving it everyday.

I never even noticed your lip muscle quirk until you mentioned it. I think that’s a beautiful proof that our deepest insecurities are only seen by us and not others, they just see the complete picture whereas we pinpoint certain features to feel embarrassed about. We shouldn’t, and this is a reminder that we should embrace ourselves fully just as we embrace those whom we love. (:

I love how direct and "to the point" you are... Please don't be "that girl"😂🤣 I love it!! I'm 54yrs old this year, have 3 boys (well, men now! My youngest is 17😳) so, I had the last 2 in my later 30's. And even though I wouldn't change a day with them... there ARE so things I could have lived without🤷🏼‍♀! Not just that... aging in general... Very depressing sometimes!! Your body changes in a way that you KNOW you're getting older. Aches and pains that you don't even know where its coming from... And I know for me... when I look in a mirror in the morning its like "WHO is that person looking back!!" I'm all swollen and puffy, nvr use to be like that!! So... I loved your video... always do!! Dear Andrea, thank you so much for the video and for speaking up about not being comfortable about some of the things that motherhood brings.. I went through the exact same phase last year after giving birth to my baby boy and it is so soothing to hear that I am not the only one who felt that way. The makeup is gorgeous and your look for your friend's b-day party... breathtaking!

We are always our worst critic. Thank you for sharing your insecurities with all of us. Fortunately, this is a phase and you’ll move through it. The first months of motherhood are so difficult with many changes. So many phases of our life can bring on insecurities. So we should do what we can to give ourselves some love. 💕 your baby’s sounds in the background- priceless 🤗💕

I have to say that you are adorable and I love your videos and tutorials. Thank You for steering me in the right direction with eyeshadow and blush placement.

You are strong woman. And the fact that you still give us your time to make videos for us is to be commended. Ps. Since I use estee lauder eye cream (brown range), I don't know what makes it happen but I also use it on my eyebrows and after 1 month it has grown small hairs and looks more "healthy"... Kisses 😘

Thank you for this honest video. I'm 45, not a mother, but my body changed in these years also because of meds I'm taking. I gained 10kg and make up can't help yet with my insecurities (well, I've always had them) because I started only last year wearing eyeshadows and I feel more insecure when I have it on than when I don't, because I feel looked at. But I like colourful make up and I try using it as often as I can. I will try to know better my face and what makes me feel good! - edit: that lip-lift is so cute and special ^^

You teach me to slow down and that you don't need too much, just the right products (for me) placed in the right way, with care, can make such a difference! Thank you!
