If you are planning anything on ibn rushd s rebuttal of ghazali s tahafut, it is much appreciated ... in fact, anything relating to islamic kalam or philosophy, it is very much needed .. In Turkey, for instance, a muslim theologian, mustafa ozturk, was subjected to an online lynching campaign which concluded in his early retirement .. the topic concerns the unity of the meaning and wording of the quranic text .. ozturk reported a historical opinion that quranic wording might be attributed to the prophet or to jibril.. and hell broke loose ... another dispute erupted on the separation between religious faith and reason ...muslims have yet to emerge from the yoke of the doctrinal architecture that started with ibn hanbal and concluded with ghazali

"attributes are not god's essence and they are not not god's essence" ... that s what happens when you try to make sense of the hanbali primitive anthropomorphic concept of god

Later sunni scholars like Taftazani say the attributes are necessary through the Divine Essence & subsist in the Essence
