I’ve been carrying religiously for 15 years and can say that it’s been quite the evolution to find what works for me. Just pistols alone, I started with a full-size then when Micro then compact and how I’m back to full-size. And I have a box of holsters I’ve tried and discarded. Same thing with belts. I’ve finally settled in a G19 or G48, depending on dress, in an appendix holster with a Agonic EDC belt. Both guns are setup the same with a Holosun dot and Streamlight TRL7sub. Reload is in the sidecar. I take a lot of handgun classes and practice weapons based grappling weekly.

Again, phenomenal solid instruction. Too often on social media, you get those who instruct in a manner analogous to a box, meaning they only have strategies for one way of handling the firearm, and in a more practical application and with a greater sense of realism, things don't always go to plan. The key to training properly is to build a solid baseline from which you are able to perform dynamically. This is life or death, not how cool you look drawing a pistol from your waist. If one doesn't repetitively and consistently practice drawing with the understanding that a threat situation and environment might be different from the training scenario, there might be a deficiency in that preparation for dealing with a threat.

I converted to appendix carry about 5-6 years ago when I learned the thumb on the rear sight / slide technique and it helped tremendously. However, it definitely has the concerns for slide bite at the least or failure to cycle / eject at the worst if you fail to move your thumb out of the way before firing. But it certainly helped my appendix draw though. Pros and cons to consider…

Agreed, crutches are bad when trying to overcome faults that real technique can easily solve. If you practice the same draw with critical milestones (points of reference) as you properly preach, you can also begin firing at your first rib cage point of reference as you punchout towards an attacker closing if fast without ever having to think about the thumb over the slide. Good to see you teaching it the BEST possible way sir. No factor is always better than unnecessary factors as you know better than anyone. Carry on.

I've tried many different aiwb holsters but none of them were comfortable for me, even Tier1 wasn't good for me. So... a visit to Amazon later and I have everything I need to practice making aiwb holsters designed for me. I'm currently on my 10th generation of my holster for my G23 and it's comfortable, doesn't impact my dangly bits, it's comfortable enough, and it stays concealed with my tight T-Shirts and properly fitted jeans. I've made it well enough it can be worn without a belt and the pistol nor sidecar mag fall out when shook upside down, but it still has a fast and easy draw. It's a wild one, man!

Besides the fact it looks like some dance moves talking about independent manipulation this is the kind of thing I truly look for with anything, a foundation to build on that will lead to success. I enjoyed the lessons taught here. I also noticed something important was missing. If the final word is to go turtle slow, then we should holster our firearms slowly. Not visually confirming the holster is clear of all fabric or whatever before holstering is unnecessarily dangerous. Poking the muzzle around the holster until it fits without looking down is great way to circumcise yourself. Again, thank you for lesson of slow makes swift.

I know there are a lot of naysayers about California out there. The one advantage we have is the 16 hour requirement for obtaining a CCW, which most times is fulfilled through the excellent NRA PPOTH course, which covers many of the topics presented here. There is nothing magical or mystical about presenting the facts about what works -- and why it works. Advice like this is invaluable, as long as you get out and practice frequently. One of the most important topics I don't see presented often enough is 'Getting off the X'. A video on that alone would be worth the price of admission.

All of this is very logical. It should all come natural.. I didn’t even watch videos on what I would do with a carry and present. Except for close range with the elbow uo to defend. I like that: will remmeber

Great video. I had the x macro compensated version and had same problems. I got rid of it and did the non compensated x macro, haven’t had 1 problem yet in 300 rounds. I’m still in trial/ break in period before it replaces my Glock 19 though.

We got an identical xmacro build, all the way down to the vortex defender and the tlr lol, I just switched out the grip module. But thing shoots like butter.

P-365 X Macro comp. I love the gun, still need 1000 round through it before I carry it. I had a massive FCU failure, that jammed up the slide and slide lock froze. Sent it to Sig, who repaired it. Since? No failures in 300 or so rounds of 115 and 124 grain JHP and ball. I don’t know if it’s worth it to you to send it to Sig? But I do love the size and balance and shoot-ability of the gun. And it’s the perfect grip and carry size for me. And honestly my carry positions will get better when I loose the 20 lbs I need to! Yes, that is all on me! 😂.

My wife is the biggest problem I have with my CCW, I'm a Medium frame guy 184 at 6' so I buy Large shirts and my wife promptly washes them and dries them down to a medium

If you end up keeping the macro you should check out tactical development. They make a tlr7 mod that allows the light to go all the way back to the trigger guard and has a “shelf/ledge” on the side for support hand placement. I havnt tried it myself yet but looks pretty dope. Great content! I’m subbed :)

Same. That's interesting and may convert me into trying one instead of trying a Shadow Systems CR9P. Not sure about having a comp CCW though. I have had an old 19c that spewed stuff in my face outside.

@@eriklambert3809 I’m new to the 365, but the comp being part of the slide and not the barrel? I don’t notice Andy adverse blow back like a true barrel compensator.

A few days ago I had left a comment on one of your videos and it had to do with you going to another country to help out. After doing so it sat sour in my gut. So, I'm here to tuck my tail between my legs and apologize. I have no right to criticize you or anyone that is willingly wanting to help another human. I believe I was put on this rock to support vets and my community. I am sorry. Hopefully you can forgive my ignorance.

5:12* always have to look down when you put your pistol back in the holster. You had your shirt go into the holster and could easily pull the trigger. I'm not saying 'im perfect but even if you have been shooting for decades you still should be watching were the gun is at all times.

I'm a retired cop from SoCal. Kahala shirts are very popular with California cops because it helps to hide your firearm. I'm now retired in San Antonio and wear my Reyn Spooners with cowboy boots. That's how I roll but you won't see me print.

I like / run large/full size. P226, P229. However my goto is the FNP 45T by FNH. Not a glock guy, I own a Glock 40, but day 1, nothing but jams, back to glock 3 times, still jam. I found the frame/mag well was twisted. 3 times to glock and they never fount it., so I fixed it myself, but will never buy another. Go vids keep them coming

Hey Mr Frogman! I love your videos! The content is amazing! If I may make a request: Could you please check the audio levels so that they aren’t too different in the video? What I mean is the outro with the thunder was much louder than your voice. I had my volume set so that I could hear you well. The. The thunder Just about made me practice my draw then and there 😂 Anyways. God bless you brother!

Lol, knock on wood, I haven't had any issues with mine... I love that I can wear it with ANYTHING (from suits to gym shorts) and it hides well... 2/75 RLTW
