In addition, Jason is walking you through the concepts a SEAL would use in these situations. You must identify your capabilities and understand the risks at hand before you can be effective.

In this video Jason comes home to find a truck in his garage with no one present and the doors open. What would you do?!
In the state of Texas you have the legal right under Penal Code 9.41 to use “force” to protect you property. This does not support lethal force however in the video during my “force” the intruders pulled guns on me which then turns into self defense of myself inside my home while removing via force.

Im currently going through the ringer by a malicious prosecutor in missouri when i caught a pair of drug addled burglars breaking into my building. Im charged with 1st degree murder and armed criminal action despite meeting every single bit of criteria for castle doctrine and stand your ground. Out on 100,000 bond and still fighting for my life for defending myself at 3am.

Nor should you. Many different ways to observe the property and call law enforcement. I have plenty of "gear" and some tactical training but the most I would do is drop my kids off at a neighbor or friend or down the street and block their car with mine and gtfo of there and call police. Should I happen to have a rifle on me at the time (not likely), I guess I would grab it and have it at the ready just in case. But main point is I would not go into the house with an unknown number of adversaries if no ones life is in danger. Blocking there vehicle prevents a quick getaway and prevents them stealing anything larger than what they can carry while running away on foot.

I had just pulled into my driveway when my camera inside the living room went off. I immediately jumped out of the truck with my carry pistol, popped the door and made entry. Right away I noticed a temperature increase, this was during the summer, so I backed out and went back to my truck. After checking the camera app on my phone I noticed it said temperature notification, my AC had gone out during the day. Relieved, I went back in and my dog was like bro it's hot as hell in here and I realized how quickly I had reacted. Yeah, I could have died if it was an intruder, but I'm not the type of person who relies on others for something I can do myself. Point of the story is the cops aren't required to help you anymore, having a mindset where you don't rely on them is better for what our future holds. Yes, it's just property, but it's my property and I worked damn hard for it, not going to wait minutes for cops to come and then try and arrest me for whatever reason like I've had them do in the past. We rely too much on first responders and waste their time, so I decided over 3 years ago never again unless it's an actual emergency.

I think there’s a valuable rule here, and he touches on it pretty hard: If something is not worth dying for, it’s not worth killing for. The person wouldn’t be threatening your life, if you weren’t actively hunting him. In this scenario, as he said, the best course of action is to call 911 and record what’s happening. If a family member is in the house, it’s a different story…

As of recent estimates, there are approximately 393 million civilian-owned firearms in the United States. This number is based on various sources, including surveys, firearms production data, and registration records. However, it's important to note that estimating the exact number of guns in the country can be challenging due to factors such as “UNregistered” firearms and changes in ownership over time. In SA there's no such thing, you call the cops and you would wait for 1 or 2 days for them to arrive, by that time robbers would have cleared your home out completely and only leave you with the walls, but then again if you approach the criminals you're also not allowed to shoot them unless they shoot you first, as ridiculous as that seems, it's the unfortunate truth. In SA you have to be battling for your life before you can defend yourself and the gun laws and justice system is so messed up,corrupt and flawed that you cannot even own a firearm yet criminals are given ARs and all sorts of firearms by the military and the police that they then use against you, and even if you do what they tell you to, they will still kill you, but hey we're not allowed to fight back, the slightest sign of self defense will land you in prison whilst the criminals walk free. You guys in the US should really appreciate the laws you have. Here if a criminal kills you, guess what? They will be out the very next day with a bailout of $100🙈

Im super glad i stumbled upon your channel. I’ve been looking into getting a pistol for defense, and i always do a lot of research on KZread with anything, so that’s how I found your channel. I’ve watched three of your videos so far and you have lots of great information. I got bullied at school for a little while and then in middle school i started boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu plus i grew up near LA skateboarding all over the place in super sketchy places and stuff and so all of that made me know to keep my head on a swivel and stay aware of my surroundings at all times and always know the best escape route. now i live in Mississippi and was in Texas before here but i am a very firm believer in defending yourself your family and any one else that needs defending at any and all times within your means and abilities and to the extent necessary unless it puts my love ones in danger that is. But I’m also a believer in not killing, if it happens it happens but i personally dont believe it’s ok to do that if you can get out of the situation or handle it without death, Anyways I’m really glad you said what you said at the end, if no body is home there’s no reason to go in. Dudes and even ladies sometimes have way too much of an ego and it gets in the way im sure i don’t need to tell you or anyone how often we hear people say things like “oh man if that dude says one more thing ima kill him” and stuff like that, but yeah if someone has the ability to just leave that’s what’s best there’s a lot of trouble that comes with putting people down in this type of situation especially when you don’t have to. I have a friend here who’s mom killed in self defense in her home and still went to prison for 10 years he was little at the time so she missed half his life pretty much. Now that’s something to think about right there. But i also liked how everything you did in that scenario it exactly what i was thinking as well, honestly a lot of it’s common sense but it does need to be practiced as much as possible cus when your scared and got that adrenaline or not the same like you said muscle memory. Plus i always like thinking about tactics and stuff ever with positive things

Like the video where him and his out of shape friends sit and talk about other out of shape men? That kind of content? So amazing🙄 idc if he was a seal 20 years ago he’s a clown at best worried about the state of “men” rather than himself. If you want to protect your house, have a well trained dog, video cameras everywhere and we should never forget that are houses have insurance so we can recover everything but I would never get inside my own house without full intel. The legal consequences is something that I would like to never face so I could end up in prison for the rest of my life. No way ! I think that weapons are to defend ourselves and to use them only as a last resort when my family's life and /or mine, are in indisputable danger. If no family is at home, not going in yourself is definitely the right way to go. And would probably call the cop before going in. Sometimes intruders have a lookout hiding outside so you should at least be aware of that. Not having a wifi recording camera system you can check recorded history on your phone before going in is a shame too. Also correct on the security round, I remember this was discussed extensively in my ccw class (also Texas) you cannot pump one in after the fact. My cop friend told me to absolutely make sure they are dead if they tried to reach for their weapon after they are down though
