I must've seen Geddy a dozen times in Toronto over the past 40 years, just going about his day, on the sidewalk or in a restaurant or wherever, and for a brief second I have an urge to say something to him, but then I realize how I'd probably feel about strangers accosting me daily, regardless of their intent, and I say nothing. You know, now that I think of it, I don't recall ever seeing Alex or Neil, and I think that's because I never really watched their performances until recently, and just listened to the recordings, and on first glance they're just non-descript white guys like me, just 15 years older, so they didn't warrant further notice. In other words, I certainly DID see those two from time two time, I just didn't recognize them. But Geddy has always had such a distinctive look that you DO give him the second glance that makes your brain click.
@tenn_ore

Right? These guys weren't jerks about it, but they'd prefer to just meet a random stranger who had no idea who they were and just talk about whatever. @@alex31245I have a question for you, why would a grown man with a shirt that says genius at work spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show?
2 minutes and I'm already full of respect for someone like Jordan. He reminds me of a younger version of myself, just 100% confident in how right I was about everything. I wish I still were like that, only the problem is I'm 100% wrong about most things lol
Thank you for posting these long clips!!

For a middle aged dude like me, Geddy Lee is my favorite musician of all time. That's a real deal Human right there.
Moving Pictures is for me the Abbey Road of Progressive Hard Rock.
This has to be the funniest clip on the internet 😂
“You know what might be interesting? To hear *Geddy Lee* talk about Rush.” “I’d be happy to chime in!” Burrrrrrrn. 😂

I actually needed this today. Good job!
That was the best video interview comedy I’ve ever seen. F’n hilarious! I love when Conan says I put words together in sentences too….omg lmfao.
"I modeled my personality after him".......I can't even..... this is truly comedy gold. 10/10.
Man, Jordan really came alive towards the end there!
These two are golden. They are truly amazing together
Loving every moment of this!
Geddy is such a well spoken man. I'm glad I had the chance to hear him speak with coco and Jordo.

"My Effin' Life" is his autobiography that came out late last year and it's fantastic. If you enjoy hearing him speak about things (obviously Rush included) it was an absolute pleasure of which to listen.

As a Rush fan, Jordan is actually being fairly tame. Some of these Rush fans get into differences in snare drum frequencies from various master recordings or which pickup Geddy is using on his basses and the delay pedal settings in the effects chain that Alex is using. There’s serious dork levels to this band.

Wow, that's PHD level in music mixing. I don't think I've heard this from the fan base of any other band

“Dork levels” in this case also means “cool bad ass genius levels”. Sound Engineers are cool with their world of knowledge and mad skills in things like Sidechain compression.
Funniest clip I've seen in a long time! Thank you for the endless laughs, Team CoCo!

7:41 Conan to Jordan in front of Geddy Lee “You know might be interesting to hear Geddy Lee talk about RUSH. “ 😂
Two of my all time favorite people since the early 90s having a convo was a nice way to start the week. Conan and Geddy.
Conan's hushed "Oh my God" in response to hearing his co-host nerd in with Morin Heights, Quebec is gold...
Jordan Schlansky knows what he's talking about: I've got a number of versions of Moving Pictures on CD and none sounded as good as the original LP I bought back in '81. And that was the Dutch pressing (which was the one I got since I happen to live in the Netherlands). The clarity and punch of the LP was incredible.

Original CD pressings sound great too. It's because from the 90's on digital formats have been cooked to be LOUD due to the LOUDNESS WARS. New vinyl doesn't suffer this either because it's hard to cook vinyl to be overly loud. So recent Rush vinyl releases tend to sound good too.
@aznsensation44

Recent remasters of rock releases tend to be much better than anything in the 90s and 00s which were part of the loudness wars these days engineers realized the issues and brought back the dynamic range in recent releases

"Neil Diamond.... Tristan Rogers..." Yes, that is SOME LIST, Jordan. Jeeeezus, these two have had incredible interactions since the 90's... And still no letup in comedic greatness. Awe inspiring talent and connection.
My husband got me a short little personalized video from Jordan for my last bday. My husband’s favorite band is Rush and he is currently reading Geddy’s memoir. This video is all my worlds colliding!😂
I love it when Jordan gets going. Listening to his rant while watching Conan's face is comedy gold THANK YOU Conan and Jordan show 🤣
