Conan Surprises Jordan Schlansky With Rush Singer Geddy Lee | Conan O'Brien Radio

I must've seen Geddy a dozen times in Toronto over the past 40 years, just going about his day, on the sidewalk or in a restaurant or wherever, and for a brief second I have an urge to say something to him, but then I realize how I'd probably feel about strangers accosting me daily, regardless of their intent, and I say nothing. You know, now that I think of it, I don't recall ever seeing Alex or Neil, and I think that's because I never really watched their performances until recently, and just listened to the recordings, and on first glance they're just non-descript white guys like me, just 15 years older, so they didn't warrant further notice. In other words, I certainly DID see those two from time two time, I just didn't recognize them. But Geddy has always had such a distinctive look that you DO give him the second glance that makes your brain click.

Right? These guys weren't jerks about it, but they'd prefer to just meet a random stranger who had no idea who they were and just talk about whatever. If you want to know about the other stuff just read or watch an interview. They were interested in so much more than what they did for their day job.

"Neil Diamond.... Tristan Rogers..." Yes, that is SOME LIST, Jordan. Jeeeezus, these two have had incredible interactions since the 90's... And still no letup in comedic greatness. Awe inspiring talent and connection.

My husband got me a short little personalized video from Jordan for my last bday. My husband’s favorite band is Rush and he is currently reading Geddy’s memoir. This video is all my worlds colliding!😂
