It's not even surprising tbh, he's still and has always been one of the if not the best late night show hosts and the most funny. Craig Ferguson was great as well, but Conan adds so much to his show with his unique humor, quick wit, his remotes, how he incorporates his employees into his sets in the most fun and wholesome ways, everything about team coco is amazing.

@Steve Zubrowski and he didn't just segue, he acknowledged that the question existed and resolved it with a "we have no time and need to move on" which reaaally helped minimize any potential awkwardness. If he had acted like he never asked the question, it would have caused slight tension.

I think this is the only interview in which Joaquin doesnt look uncomfortable

Truly a testament to the skill of Conan. No awkward moments, seemingly flowing interview. Just compare it to the other interviews with both jimmys and even letterman. Granted they are years apart but Joaquin is notoriously difficult to interview.

Kimmel is by far the worst ever. I never watch his interviews. He is so insensitive. I remember once a guest was talking about River . About what a great young actor he was and said that he missed him. And immediately after that Kimmel said, Well that's a bummer. I watched this year's ago and still cannot forget. I haven't watched Joaquin's interview but I can imagine what it would be like.

Joaquin has always been so gorgeous to me, inside and out, but this is one of my favorite mainstream interviews he’s been on. Well, aside from I’m Still Here interview.

Conan is a awesome, He knew that Joaquin did not wanna talk about his fear of flying so he skipped the question.

Johnny Cash playing as he walks out is a wonderful coincidence.

fell in love with Joaquin’s acting in Walk the Line. Now here we are again, but this time with his performance in Joker. He’s one of my favorite actors.

Conan is really good at making his guests feel comfortable. I want to see more interviews w Joaquin.

Conan reads his interviewees SO well. Their banter is perfectly suited for each other. Conan just roles with whatever Joaquin is comfortable wish. A host without an agenda! Beautiful! Joaquin deserves more interviews like this!

Both Jimmy’s should have came here to learn how to talk to Joaquin.
