G-Research's Computer Guided Mathematics Symposium took place towards the end of November 2022.
Held at the Science Museum in Central London, G-Research welcomed Kevin Buzzard (Professor of Pure Mathematics at Imperial College London, Alex Davies (DeepMind) and Sir Timothy Gowers (Professeur titulaire of the Combinatorics chair at the Collège de France) to the stage to discuss mathematics, computers and machine learning.

After their talks, all three speakers took to the stage for a panel discussion, featuring questions from the audience, our hosts and from each other.
The G-Research Computer Guided Mathematics Symposium was the final event in our 2022 Distinguished Speaker Series. We'll be running events in 2023, so if you're interested in attending future Distinguished Speaker Series events, please register your details here: events.beamery.com/gresearch/...

At 10:15 What Gowers suggest is precisely what is missing in many books and teaching. A definition is what "it does" and "does not" never what it is. Adding and removing constraints from a definition helps getting a proper grasp on it. Similarly ( dixit Polya) adding and removing from hypothesis or conclusion helps solving a problem/question/conjecture.
