A Lot of their style stems from the guitarist Will Swan. Who is so innovative with this sound that he has his own genre called swancore

That background vocalist near the end, Andrew Wells, has his own band, Eidola, which is also pretty great stuff in a similar vein to this but less pop lyric-wise. I'd recommend something off Degeneraterra - either Humble Ledger (Gnostic States), Contra: Second Temple, or Omega: Third Temple.

Hey Brian, loving the reactions. Lots of your reviews feel like my personal spotify channel, so I wanted to throw one you haven't heard before. Orbs - A Man of Science Trioscapes - Curse of the Ninth The bassist from Between the Buried and Me, Dan Briggs, has a few small side projects, these two bands being some of them. He plays guitar in Orbs and bass in Trioscapes. I think you'll really enjoy both, and keep making videos!

Been meaning to give these guys a listen for a long time, but this is my first time. Really dug this, so I'll definitely make them a priority. Such a cool combo for those of us who love both pop and metal. If I was in the mood to be super critical I might say the metalcore bits were a little generic, but I'd be just fine appreciating these guys as a pop band that just incorporates metal bits here and there. One thing that really stood out was the beautiful chordal work in the guitars during that section at the 4:00 mark.

2:58 Lol, as if there would be context for that. I do love when the screamer and the singer are harmonizing, but it doesn't happen a lot with them. If that's what you're looking for though, I highly recommend Variation by them

I'm fairly new to this band, the only reason I started listening to them initially was because I saw them on tour with Periphery and wanted to get familiar with their music for the show. I've only really listened to their last 3 albums and I think Artificial Selection is my favorite, I enjoy pretty much every song on that album to some degree whereas Afterburner especially there are songs I love but also several that I can't really stand to listen to. Some people rag on them a lot for having a fairly homogenized sound and from what I've heard from them I'd agree to some extent but given they're sort of a novelty band for me anyways to throw in my rotation and mix things up a bit I don't mind that at all. All in all, cool band, I dig it.

First time I really disagree with Brian. I love math rock and I like a lot of metal and occasionally like poppy core like crown the empire but this song was unlistenable. The guitar lines felt static and the vocals started to grate. Dude has a nice voice and but it just didn't feel right for anything going on in the rest of the song for me.

Honestly, man, your channel would be more enjoyable if you didn't exude arrogance when you comment on stuff you don't like. This song is pretty magical and very well crafted, yet I just left with your impression of "the ending wasn't that great". It's a bummer that you speak opinions like facts and make the whole experience of watching you hear the song for the first time as something underwhelming. I'm on the spectrum too, so I can relate somewhat to the way you think, but it doesn't make for the best reactions.
