Chris nopt sure how big the pike are but maybe go with straight braid or a short (like 6") heavy mono leader like Berkley Big Game mono

I'm not a top water or hard lure type guy (all soft plastics, jigs, worms, tubes)....can I need 5-6 topwater that simply WORK!!!! Simple retrieve. Only thing used was a hills plopper 20 yrs ago. Anyone give me a few ideas? (Etc... rapala floating minow?)

Zara Spook, Baby spook, Hula popper,Jitter Bug, Whopper Ploppers,Choppo, Poppin'R. Rick Clunn won 3 Tournaments on a Poppin 'R type bait, Single Buzzbait, Double Buzz bait and Floating worm or Senko. All the Rapala floating bait's. I believe there is more Poppin frog or just a frog twitched across the top of the water. There you go! More than six baits! Have fun trying these great topwater bait's. I am 60 years old. Been fishing for 55 years. My Father was a very good worm fisherman. Shawn

Zara Spook... my biggest top-water fish have all come on this lure. Confidence in what you're throwing is the key to putting fish in the boat!

you keep saying "8 to 3," which is NOT the same as saying "8.3 to 1" which is what you mean to say...

My buddy and I caught 25 bass between the both of us on The Wopper Plopper. In I know it and T 1000 colors. Hard rain and little wind. Really had fun! So tell me again. How the Wopper Plopper is over rated! Shawn
