My favorite class I took in Highschool (1984-1988) was Industrial Arts where you learn wood working, carpentry, electrical, electronics, mechanics, welding, forging, screenprinting, and blueprinting. There might have been a couple other things but you get the idea. It's a shame it's no longer being taught.

You prepared for the worst, hoping for the best, but got the absolute worst; with a silver lining of meeting Artie, who spoke on what you are trying to say to America: we need the trades people badly!!! The fact that you were able to completely replace that system that fast, shows what Artie was talking about: visualizing what may be needed and being able to do the job without a return trip to the shop.

I do service work too, and we have to have a certain number of people on duty per so many customers. I've worked plenty of Holidays and it sucks, but I always felt good helping people out on these types of days, seeing them light up when I get them back on. They always fed me good too! I won't miss anymore holidays though, I did my time already. That's for the new guys. My time with my family is just as important as someone else's.

"The h2O Saviour" My Family would celebrate Christmas day, on Thanksgiving day! My Dad had obscure religious beliefs. He believed, as a Baptist, that Christmas was just another pagan holiday brought on by a society misguided by the power of money and material things and the corrupt government keeping our citizens slaves to its economy. We believe JC' s Birthday should be celebrated under the morals of family and helping others. Sound familiar? So any way he took all the "money and material giving" and placed it on a day he believed is better suited for the beliefs of the family, not society's misdirected excuse of what such an important day it truly is. Anyway. I'm all grown up now and I still remember those "Thanksgiving mornings" and all the wonderful 🦃. It was tommy the turkey not Santa by the way.lol😂... All the other kids were jealous but on Christmas day we didn't get presents. We had family😂😊😊😊🥰🥳

When I was 15yrs old a good friend Mis Kitty asked me what was going to do with my life. She asked if I was going to college after high school,I said no college is not for everyone. Every year I worked a different trade. Starting with a restaurant then to plumbing then to electrical, roofing ,house framing landscaping. I’ve now been employed for the last 21 years as maintenance supervisor for my employer. I really didn’t realize I was setting myself up for my career.

Working on a holiday. I know that very well - worked as a firefighter for 31 years 6 months and 24 days. Worked B shift - so you worked leap year. So if you any holidays you had the year before leap year. You got it again the next year. But I loved working Thanksgiving. Our shift of 12 people would meet at Station #3 (the training station) for turkey dinner - Plus our station had the only dish washer back then. The other stations had dishwashers installed later on. Our shift worked 3 holidays 2 years in a row. We worked a 24 on / 48 hours off schedule. 52 hour weeks with no overtime in the normal work week. Fed law - take care thank you for the video.

We just had Thanksgiving without running water. My submersible well pump went out! Bladder tank is bad as well. Big job, but not anything I can't handle. I'm completely redoing. Bought a new bladder tank, installation kit for bladder tank, added a whole house water and sediment filter to well house lines. Replacing bad submersible well pump as well. It's a job! Luckily we have great neighbors who let us get tons of water to maintain our living while I finish well.

It's really not too difficult, as long as you have a "will-do can-do" attitude. I just, this past mon, pulled my pump to repair a leak down the drop pipe; ended up being a corroded and leaking nipple at the pump; broke off completely as soon as it was laid on the ground. Ended up cleaning all the corrosion off the pump, installing a new brass nipple, and dropping my 17+ year 1/2hp Franklin Electric pump back down in the well; and its pumping more water volumn then it did before i pulled it. Ill take an older, more reliable pump over a brand new one any day; you cant find quality like we had that many years ago. Good luck to ya

Nice fix/save on a holiday ... back in the old days my family had a small town car dealership ... all the family members had their phone numbers in the phone book .... can't tell you how many times my father or uncle would get a call from a restaurant valet or owner on a Saturday night that the keys were locked in the car ... back then you cut GM keys by the number ... lot's of "saves" with a little effort .... and of course those people told all their friends about the great service ... you can't buy that kind of Good Will via expensive advertising ... a trip to the beach with my uncle on a Saturday (1 hour) would take 3 hrs because he'd stop and help all the stranded motorists (often with a station wagon full of small kids) .... he always carried his tools in the trunk .... that's the way we where raised ... to be of service to the community

I always try to stop & help those in need, say an elder has a flat tire & I see them waiting for assistance on the side of the rd. My ex wife would always complain about us being late or how a crazy person might try to hurt me...I never thought of things that way, I see someone needing help and I can help them change a spare tire in less than 15 minutes, so I stop & help them. I'd rather be late than wonder if that person is still sitting there. Always told my ex that Karma works both ways, if I help someone maybe one day she'll need help & someone like me would stop to help her. She still never got on the same page as me. Needless to say, that's why she's the Ex wife. She was too selfish and I was the opposite. So our journey together had to end so we could find a better partner. Since then my channel on KZread has grown 10-fold bc I can be myself without her negative criticism. May be TMI but my channel is the real me. & my content is mostly work related.

If you have a spickot at the well head, you'd have to open it to break the suction (so then it would pull in air rather than draw out the water). That's the only way. If you have a pitless adapter (Northern region) you'd need to install a yard hydrant to the underground pipe.

How come you do not put a kicker boot on that pump cuz there you go you are half-ass doing the job I did not see a Ticker on that pump that is probably what caused the other pump to bust like that cuz it had no kicker on the pump
