yeah several of those Japanese exclusives sell for easily over $1000 on Ebay! The affordable ones are VTetris (~$30), Virtual Fishing (~$40), Space Squash (~$100), and Insmouse no Yakata (~$100-$200). After those, they get ridiculously expensive!

In this case the original poster was making a joke of the fact that the VirtualBoy was never released in Europe. You seemed to have missed the joke, giving a very blatant no, explaining why, when the one making the joke had to have known the information you have given already to make the joke. Tl;Dr: You didn't get the joke.

I have no idea where you're based out of, but figured I'd let you know: there's a loose cartridge copy of Waterworld for sale at the Book-Off in my local mall, the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California, U.S. It's $80, which... I have no idea if that's a good price or not. But it's there, in the glass case! I've seen it every time I've checked out that store for the last, like, 3 years, too, so it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. ;)

People didn’t get head akes when playing.. they just wanted more. So they qwote and qwote pretended that I gave them head akes and complained to Nintendo because they didn’t like the red and black colour scheme.. and it failed success. And soon got pulled of the market shelf’s.

Jack Bros.... Dang that one is 1 I NEED for my collection, but the price is just too up there. Grats on scoring it!

Virtual Boy is still on my list of portables to get one of these days. I had one in the 90s & Galactic Pinball was awesome! Also had Red Alarm which was probably the most played by my friends. My Virtual Boy right eye gave out soon after my purchase of Mario Clash, so I got to enjoy it for a bit. Did not know about Jack Brothers going to be very happy to play it in the future at some point. In my opinion the Galactic Pinball was the best Pinball game up to that point! I really enjoyed my Virtual Boy back in the day it was a fun plug and play device for me! No TV needed!

Played for five minutes threw up and had a headache 10/10 would recommend

I love how they put the Virtual Boo in Luigi's Mansion 3 and said it would "fly off the shelves" once it was released. That was unexpected.

Used to have one. Played the hell out of it too! Tennis and boxing were my favorite. I found out quick that playing in a dark room helped your eyes to transition after your session. Still surprised I have 20/16 Vision today. Lol

The sad thing is some of these games look really good! Nintendo should really bring some of these games back for the Switch. Games like: Red Alarm Teleroboxer Mario Clash Jack Bros. Virtual Boy Wario Land Vertical Force Innsmouth no Yakata SD Gundam Dimension War Space Squash

If you are a PC user on the side there is a virtual boy emulator that has settings such as replace the red with other less headache colors, VR headset compatibility, and full tracking when using headset

exactly! He only used the emulator to get game footage for this video. Lol you try getting a camera to zoom into the eyepiece of an actual Virtual Boy and somehow get a clear image of half of the screen! Also, playing games on the emulator can never give you the full experience that playing an actual Virtual Boy does. I own one with all the US games except Jack Bros, and it is incredible!

To my knowledge, Nintendo Power _did_ confirm that Lark from PilotWings 64 is in fact Nester, but Nester's Funky Bowling is still the only game to feature Nester's name in the title - it's *his* Funky Bowling.

I don't think Ninendo's trying to forget the Virtual Boy existed, considering they tend to poke fun at the system from time to time. Remember "All hail the Virtual Boy!"?

I actually like your view. Most people are quite raging about the Virtual Boy but in fact, it was a console ahead of its time and was cut through technical limitations as well as a low budget in production. But I‘m excited to try this one as I am slowly gathering the parts to get my own VB.

I just recently took my VirtualBoy down from the attic. I got it 20something years ago from my Dad who brought it back from a trip to the US. I had absolutely no idea what it was back then, as it was never released in Europe :-D hope it still works.

It's refreshing to see a Puerto Rican baseball team featured on a Baseball game even if this was released in 95'. I'm from the island and it makes me happy that game developers at times bring Puerto Rico into video games and pop culture.

Mario clash was supposed to be a mini game for Super Mario land on the virtual boy but sadly the game was scrapped

I love the Virtual Boy. It deserved better. It has some good games and it just needed more of that. Also, unpopular opinion: 3D Tetris is the best Virtual Boy game. It really changed the gameplay of Tetris in a unique way and it payed off. Of course right behind 3D Tetris is Virtual Boy Wario Land and behind that is Mario Clash.

Also, Something I am still waiting for is a Virtual Boy emulator for the DS (not the 3DS). People say it's too hard to make because VB is more powerful than SNES, and the DS can't even emulate THAT properly, and to thst I say, "you're full of crap." The DS can VERY PROPERLY emulate SNES so I don't think it would be a stretch to make a VB emulator.Also I'm not an expert on chips and device preformance and all that but this is just what I think. If a VB emulator is NOT possible, then can someone at the very least take all 22 of the VB games and make DS ports? If anyone reading this knows about a VB emulator for DS or has a link for DS ports of VB games, please reply with them. I'll be editing to the end of time to play Virtual Boy on the DS. Thanks.

I really want one of these for my collection but it is waaaay too expensive for me to spend that kind money on rn

I have the Virtual boy with the box (Box is in bad condition though), also the Ac adapter set with box (Great condition box), also have the Wario game in box complete (Good condition), and of course Mario Tennis, but by itself. Got all that all for about $90-$120 (great deal, and got it at that price last year or two!), can't remember but it was in that range. I love it and I don't get headaches from playing it! I really want the whole collection, and even the Japan exclusives,........but too much money.

Jarrett IceEarthGuard yeah it is easy to get all the US games if you're willing to fork over $300+ for Jack Bros. however, those Japanese games are insanely expensive. SD Gundam Dimension Wars sells for over $1000 online (however, there are Homebrew fan-made English translated game cards floating around for $70-100 each. I own one of these and it's really well done). Insmouse no Yakata sells around $100-300 online. VTetris and Virtual Fishing are pretty cheap, so they're easy to find. Space Squash averages around $100. Then the last three, Virtual Bowling, Space Invaders Collection and Virtual Lab are so freaking rare that you can rarely find these online... And when you do find them, they easily sell for way over $1000!! Personally, I only own VTetris and Virtual Fishing. I'm considering buying Space Squash and Insmousse, but haven't got around to it yet... I own all the US games except Jack Bros.

What Emulator did you used to show the footage? In mine I can't play Tetris because of flickering.

My drummer is hoping to get a Virtual Boy for his birthday, so this video was good for deciding which games to get him.

I have 14 titles! 12 launched in the USA, plus Tetris and the japanese version of Virtual League Baseball.

That console actually appears to be pretty advanced for its time.

In the early death throws of this system I managed to snag the top games from Blockbuster in a discount bin for five bucks a piece, including Jack Bros. Unfortunately I didn't hold on to them for more than a few years and sold the entire lot together for about 300 bucks

I still find it fascinating at the time I was able to by v-tetris in stores here but I had to look online years later to get 3d tetris.

Yes, people complained about eye strain, but do you know why? BECAUSE NOBODY HAD READ THE WARNINGS AND TIPS REGARDING THE 3D FUNCTION WHILE IT WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE MAIN APPLICATIONS ON THE 3DS and yes, you might think reading it is boring, but if you had to choose between Losing a bit of time by reading something important Or Having you eyes hurt by playing a game, which leads to you not being able to play the game for a few minutes What would you choose? Get my point?

Hold on a second. At 4:59, the colour quality is amazing! For a system thats only colours are red and black, the flags (particularly the USA, Australian and English ones) look like they are made of their actual colours!

Don't believe me? here's the list of Mario Kart games that I know (Chronological order): Super Mario Kart (1992) Mario Kart Virtual Cup (Cancelled) Mario Kart 64 (1996) Mario Kart Super Circuit (2001) Mario Kart Double Dash (2003) Mario Kart DS (2005) Mario Kart Arcade GP (2005) Mario Kart Wii (2008) Mario Kart 7 (2011) Mario Kart 8 (2014) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (2017) Mario Kart Arcade GP VR (2017) Edit: I found out that there is another Mario Kart and that game is Mario Kart Arcade GP DX (2013). I also realized that I don't know Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 (2006) and I also discovered another Mario Kart game known as Mario Kart Tour (2019).

I would love to see Tetris 3D come back as a modern game with non virtual boy visuals. Maybe it could even have options to change the art style of the blocks and thus add in a "virtual boy" style

My grandmother bought a virtual boy in 1995, but she found it at a yard sale. The man sold it to her for 15$ it is still in the box, and we only used it once.
