This video reminds me of the olden days, when people filmed and put videos on the internet for the pure purpose of sharing knowledge instead of selling products. Love it. By the end of this month, this method will be on my 10x16 shed out back. Thank you.

If using a smaller size facia board just cut the bottoms of the rafter Tails flush with the bottom of the fascia board great video really enjoyed it and to the point

When I see videos where the framing tilted to the side I can't help but think that it would happen with this type of framing. Your framed structure should rely on sheet products for stability and this is how you do it. Subscribed and followed.

good video and I like how you cut the end rafters long for the sub fascia detail. I would say to anyone watching who will be doing a structural roof, however, that they should be careful notching the tops of rafters as you do in this video and to pay close attention to span and load tables. There are often limitations to what and where structural elements can be notched, as it weakens their intended load strength. If there's ever any doubt always check with your local building official. Happy building everyone!

Great instructional!!!! For people who haven't used power saws as much as regular construction workers here's a good tip. cut in the direction where the largest part of the plate on the bottom of the saw is on the board. If not it's easy to cut on angle and the board won't lay flat. I saw that this man NEVER did it that way so you take a chance of an angle cut no matter how good you think you are... He definintly made it look easy but there are things that you still have to watch more closely than he showed.
