Even with Last Dance added you know a shit ton of dancers in DF will still ignore using Standard Step

Is this a thing? I never ignore it but when I'm not playing dancer I'm usually too busy to notice what other duty finder dancers may be doing. Say it ain't so....

Unfortunately, the current math is saying Standard Step is a DPS loss even with Last Dance after the buffs to the normal GCDs. Largely because the potency difference doesn't make up for the lost proc potential. Hopefully that will be fixed.

i use Standard Step whenever it's ready, it does more damage than Fountainfall and now adds Last Dance to it

@@Heim- Yeah I just saw that google doc going over DNC changes. It's kinda interesting though that we'll be doing 0 Standard Step Rotations, only refreshing with every Flourish use through Finishing Move proc + using Tillana as your second to last GCD before Tech Finish falls off during 2min bursts. But even if we have to refresh the finish buff 'early', we only lose 60 potency which isn't really much unless you are going for parses. Honestly though I expect the potencies to change so that Standard Step + Last Dance becomes a net gain in the final release/early access. Potencies of skills have always changed from media tour build.

Horray, we get new skills that are used outside of the 2 min burst window! \o/ Looks so much fun!

Dnc is such a beautiful Job! Will keep it as my ranged main.

They need to revert flourish back to how it was in shadowbringers, having 4 procs so you go into melee added depth. They could probably copy en avant giving procs from pvp too.

Wow, practically after Flourish, with Finishing Move, in addition to the new damage, I have the new Last Dance ready, then I have Standard finish again which once launched gives me another Last Dance, since Last Dance has a recast time of only 2.44 sec. Without forgetting the old Flourish effects So outside the start rotation with the addition of Last Dance, Finishing Move, Last dance again and Dance Of The Dawn: every 30 seconds I have Standard Step in Finish and and Last Dance; every 60 seconds Flourish, Finishing Move, Last Dance, Fan Dance IV, Standard Finish, Last Dance again; and every 120, repeat burst rotation. And Fan Dance 1 and 3, and the basic combos if there's time left

Just an idea, what if finishing move gave the dance partner a separate 15s damage buff next to the existing standard buff; could bring more support buffs to the support dps

Can’t really complain about any of this tbh, although I still would’ve liked a buff to either flourish/devilment/techstep that grants guaranteed feathers, just so you don’t get the dreaded 0 feather opener

Dance of the Dawn I wish was a combo finisher for Sabre Dance instead and I wish the RNG had a better pity system outside of bursts... that's about it...

So I'm guessing that Standard Step/Finish and Finishing Move share a cooldown. Or can you go Standard Step > Standard Finish > Flourish > Finishing Step?

Honestly feels like it will be a toss up between dancer or bard for my ranged physical dps in DT

They made DNC burst even busier? It was already way too busy for me with all the random ogcds that light up!

Super happy with the standard changes. I'm not gonna lie it was needed from a HC playstyle immersion pov. Everything else is just a big W. More things to do during filler phases just looks like it will feel really good and engaging which the job needed a bit out of that burst.

Last Dance?! Dancer now needs Michael Jordan glams.

Was really hoping for a Warrior rescue but can't wait to fell cleave even more!

I see no reason why Finishing Move and Tillana refresh Standard Step's 5% buff when every time I use them, they'll be not long after a Standard Step is already executed. Full buff uptime is already automatic, and the additional refreshes seem extremely redundant.

Its just a little bonus thing to give you more opportunities to swap dancer partner & apply the buff to them while standard is on cd. Not a big gamechanger but ive had moments where it came in clutch with tillana already

@@Lunalighte I find it exceedingly rare to switch dance partners mid-burst (all Tillanas should be executed under Devilment+Technical unless a trash pull dies early), which further proves my point. As a Standard Finish refresh tool, Tillana does a poor job in the case that a dance partner switch is necessary. I would rather manually refresh Standard Finish with a new partner right after burst ends.

Does the standard finish buff still fall off swapping partners? Cause I want to buff 2 ppl but rotating partners

Yes, around the TARGET. Allows the DNC not to have to get too close in certain situations
