the velvet texture on astro looks so plush and soft! when i saw the photo i wasnt too keen on it but wow thats such a simple and effective usage of texture so gorgeous.

It looks really basic compared to the old ones, but that cloth looks so soft it still looks good. Astro artifact remains winning.

Samurai armor is good but there’s so many of these robe-like glamour in-game already. We need more Ghost of Tsushima-like heavy samurai armor.

The velvet fabric tecture on that RDM outfit is gorgeous, never thought I would see the day that FFXIV looked like that

Dancer and the cat staff are the best. Most of them seem repeated but they do look better.

Ah everything looks so good! I’m very keen for the new dancer gear and to see if they’ve done transparency on any other bits of gear. I also really like that the weapons seem to have more physics for and “dangly” bits, like they aren’t completely static, but drawn and sheathed, which is really nice to see and I hope they do more with

Absolutely love the DNC gear and all its different elements; I’d kill to be able to use the headgear and those sleeves for other jobs; hoping gear or glamours with a similar look will be a thing. Also love GNB and RPR, and SMN’s poncho. Overall, though, all the gear looks better than I thought, even the ones I’m not keen on (the WHM, RDM, and DRG designs still just seem so uninspired to me, just no creativity, but I like them better than I did). A solid showing all around, I’d say. Thanks for the showcase, Meoni!

This is insane. The gear looks so good, both the texture and the designs. Now we can't all like everything, but overall i'm really looking forward to it. AST and DNC look sick! Also these are only the default colors, can't wait to see how they dye. Can't wait for the 28th. Couldn't have wished for a better belated birthday gift. Spending actual nameday with family and friends and having DT drop on the day after. This already blows my mind. What a great job they did. Gonna lock myself in my office for a week, i think.

You know what, i actually wasnt feeling the picto gear at all until i got a good look at it in this video so thanks for that!

That whole outfit is amazing but that WEAPON! I almost fainted.

I love how the DRG gear looks more or less like an upgraded/modern version of the lvl 50 gear, it reminds me heavily of it with the helm and the back spikes

really liked machinist outfit. it looked like it fit the expansion theme

PLD, GNB, DRK, WAR all look amazing to me (probably because I main tanks), but I especially liked the transparency stuff on DNC. THAT was a nice touch!

I'm a big fan of Sch, Sam and Pld. Was not quite sold on the fem Dnc gear, until this vid. Seeing greater detail, has made it one of my favs.

Can't wait to rock that DRK set!

My favorites would be, DRG, WHM, SMN and NIN so far. I can't wait to see them all on my Roegadyn.

There really did a fantastic job with these sets, Reaper and Dragoon being my favorites. I honestly wasn't too impressed by a few sets previously but now that i've seen them in a high quality video where you can appreciate all the fine details and different material textures they all look amazing.

The DNC set makes me so happy and excited. I only recently got it leveled and main it now, and will be using the heeeeeck out of that outfit

DRG set looks like a remix of the original job gear, that's makes it very nice.

Okay.. Have definitely changed my mind on a lot of the gear. I didn't think I was liking Dragoon's very much, but it's actually quite a nice cut. Awesome stuff.

I absolutely love that black mage rod with the black cat on it... oh so cool, as was that hat!

So good, they're all looking so good this expansion, usually I'll see a couple I don't like, but they really nailed it this time. I'd say my least favorite one is Warrior, but that axe is pretty cool at least.

I'm SO FRICKING HAPPY that Scholar didn't get just another Robe again! FINALLY! The new set looks awesome!

As a main dancer I am so happy. That transparency looks incredible!!!

I actually love the rdm weapon. I like that the hilt is a rose. It gives that flare i love for the job

My favorite is definitively the female Dancer set. Also loved the transparency there. Wondering how a male version looks like. Close second is... surprisingly Monk set and third is... surprisingly again... Paladin set. I love the blue hues with silver metal. Plus the shield looks great.

DNC and GNB are probably my favs.

I guess I'm one of the outliers that doesn't like the Bard Weapon, because the other weapon pose will pretty much impale your character; it does it with the final stage of the Mandi weps.

The DNC “sleeve” looks amazing. I can’t quite tell, but is it linked to the chest or gloves? I really hope it’s a glove

omg thank you for sharing! I so badly wanted to see the RDM on a female character, specifically cat girl, and you delivered! That RDM outfit is beautiful! It gives off a swashbuckler adventurer vibe which I adore.

Are they going like back to the classic to relaunch this overhaul? Because I love it. Although as far as I know there will not remake all the armor in game just yet right?

SAM is cool, but for the other jobs, I'm not sure... With these colors hard to know if it's nice or not...

Did you perhaps notice the name for the Gunbreaker weapon?

Most of my favourite classes/jobs I really like the armour for (PLD, DRK,Sage,AST)... I continue to be really disappointed with White Mage though... I understand that it's a pretty vanilla type of class, but they really have to amp this up somehow. Not a fan either of the brown straps/bags on the white/red set; it's quite clash. Perhaps grey/black would have been better had they wanted an earth tone here. I really hope there is some significant extrapolation of the White Mage sets down the road. My WHM is my main and probably the hardest one to find a good (and proper thematic) set for.

I need to put together some Conquistador and Gaucho glams.

Very classical and clean. Probably won't see them much since most players prefer the flashy in your face glams. Now all we need is: more storage space!!!

Nah AST's looks terrible and mostly thanks to looking like random dungeon gear. It's not to not have another generic looking turban but the entire set looks generic now. I don't like the bathrobe but I'd rather that since it has a bit more character to it as middling as those sets look. Shame you have to go to two creators to see the differences between sexes though, since Dancer sets look pretty different in particular between the two.

@@TheRealMsMumbleBee I don't look at the weapons since AF sets aree focused on armor instead of weapons. I also make that fairly clear in my original comment. Nor will I argue with people about it, they tried and once again failed...as with most users AST has not looked the best since their introduction. Yes it looks like dungeon stuff and this timee even looks a bit too much like blm gear, not persay their 100 set though the hat is obviously similar but none the less to say AST didn't get the ugly stick is genuine copium.

Thank you for the video Meoni! I main Bard and the set actually looked better in the game than the art to me. When I first saw the still image from your previous video, I was like, "I had never hated a gear set this much before". 😂 I'm still not a huge fan of the weapon though.

I kinda wish that Samurai got a ronin themed set this expansion. I might be going crazy but it feels similar to the Endwalker set

The red mage set looks awesome besides the hat it looks like its a bit to rounded for that style of hat tho

I don't mind subtle asymmetry but whoever designs these goes way too overboard to the point of some gear looking gaudy.

I like parts of almost all outfits. But not the entire outfits as a whole. So i'll be mixing and matching ALOT with glamours.

These look great. Too bad I'm not allowed to enjoy any of the hats. Just the struggles of bein' a bun 😢

Start crafting dyes, people. They are going to be worth a lot in dawntrail

The only thing that makes me depressed is... I level up all jobs, I try to equip them all, too... but I cant glam them individually because we only have 20 glam plates... and with DT 21 jobs :( And, as we all know, jobs gear will be outdated as soon as the first extremes drop. Me sad :( All job sets look great and its a shame I'll only see and use them for the first initial 2 or so months into DT ^^° 6:21 --- I seriously LOVE the WHM set. It looks cozy and reminds me of the Padjal outfits, which I really like. Even if its a robe again (nothing wrong with that...), its a leather robe ^.^ I guess my favorite... RDM and WHM... but I'm biased, so there's that ^^° SMN also looks great and RPR... MCH looks good, too, but I'm not into that job. DNC is also nice...

Thats kind of bullshit really. You can Glam those outfits on the next gearset thats higher ilvl. So idk what you are on about. I have glams that feature stormblood/shadowbringer gear and i'm in endgame. If you don't like a gearset just glamour it with something you like. Thats the whole point of that system😂😂

The papers really did not do justice to those sets! At first i was meeh i'll glam over it. Seeing them in game now the materials look so good.

Dangit, why do Astrologians have the coolest hats reserved for them? I want to have it on my black mage and other healers.

I'm surprised you had access to your character model for this. I thought you guys were always given generic characters for the media tour. That's how it was with Fan Fest anyway. Have to say the gear in this expansion looks amazing and I hope it all looks just as good on my character.

And make it look like the generic white mage outfit too. They just took 2 hours to design and make that outfit in the past 2 years and called it a day. Same as warrior

Thank you for showing the Viper cpose with the weapons out, I don't think we've seen it before. It looks incredible, I just hope it's the same for male characters....and if I recall, Sage and Reaper had identical Cpose for both genders so I suspect they will be. They seem gender neutral

You know Square could just do all the buns out there a solid and at least let the artifact gear helms useable. Speaking of artifact gear, why doesn’t ALL artifact gear have the ability to be stored in the armoire? I know they have specific reasons for that storage but I have every job at max, why can’t I have a permanent storage instead of randomly hitting up the calamity salvager every time.

To me samurai is the clear winner, ninja and machinist are great as well, gunbreaker, viper, picto and reaper are good, the rest aren't bad but just nondescript compared to the good ones. For a few like Dragoon I massively prefer EW sets. They ALL look good texture-wise obviously given the change but design-wise some grab me, others don't. Also, I know these are CLASS armours so they are meant to follow the aesthetic but I really wish Black Mage would one day get something a little different to goth hobo, say for example a more "High Seer of the Aeldari" look.

I main bard...but I feel like so much of the class specific gear we get is just...meh. There have been some good ones here and there, but most of the Bard specific gear I never actually end up wearing. *sigh*

Cannot like everything they put out. Some classes just go by a specific theme and if thats not your stick so be it. I dislike most if not all warrior outfits. Just not into it. And most white mage ones too.

Would've been really nice and made the video easier to watch if you put the armors in any sort of order. Like alphabetical, role, or even expansion release. Especially since there's no chapters to sort through if you want to look at a specific one that you play.

Viper swords on the back? Awrrr ..
