I can honestly say I've watched at least 1000 of Rogan's podcasts and he nailed it several times when he commented that people judge him for being a mixed martial artist and fitness junkie and just assume he's a "bro". Although, with our fellow left's growing tendency of wanting to ostracize and deplatform anyone with even the slightest bit of "problematic views", there really just one way for the person being targeted to get influenced, and that's towards the right (whether they want it to or not). If right wingers eventually becomes the only ones willing to talk to you, and treat you with kindness, it's inevitable to drift apart from the people that treat you with nothing but relentless and irrational scorn.

@@peterstafford4426 Rogan is a great interviewer and has many excellent guests who, within 3 hrs, generally give information on their 'specialist subject' - great if you like the subject, dull if you don't. There are also (there are way over 1000 podcasts) grifters and 'soundbite' merchants who have slipped through the net but during a 3 hr interview they often expose themselves especially because Rogan generally is curious not hostile. It's amusing when he does argue with guests and sometimes he wins, others he loses and changes his mind. 2 such podcasts come to mind: Australian national gov't broadcaster (ABC), Josh Szeps re Covid (Rogan changed his mind) and b) Candace Owens - right wing, part of Ben Shapiro's network and IMO queen of grifters* re the environment - Rogan was correct but Candace wouldn't admit it! *Candace is nevertheless a powerful character, very attractive, good at soundbites and expert at talking over others!

@@peterstafford4426Rogan rarely challenges anyone, he asks questions and let's people ramble on and either provide insight or 'hang by their own petard'. Eg Jordan Peterson's latest barely coherent ramblings! Rogan almost never challenges Drs or PhDs in their 'specialist subjects' unless they're political pundits, politicians, journalists, opinion givers etc but he does ask questions and for clarification from experts regarding things he doesn't understand. Re the Drs you speak of who were giving their opinion on Covid, although my family are all vaxxed and do rapid testing before meeting others (we've been more vigilant since 3 teens in our friendship/family bubble had Covid but no symptoms), hearing different views from experts (in all walks of life) is interesting and important including in science because it can lead to innovation and further understanding. Shutting down people with excellent credentials leads to concern, worry and a 'what is being hidden' attitude esp as the US gov't went into wars that killed hundreds of thousands of people based on WMD lies and those who questioned the narrative were fired eg Phil Donahue and Chris Hedges. As an aside, CNN were saying the vax stopped the virus from infecting a person and prevented them from passing Covid on. Evidence has now shown that not's true so well-intentioned triple vaxxed people, listening to CNN, could've unwittingly infected vulnerable loved ones despite having no symptoms themselves ie many are in the dark over Covid and we're learning new things all the time. However, IMO everyone should have a rapid test every morning.
