PD controllers worked fine for all my tasks. Never really needed PID.

Wait till you get into machines that heat bags and seal 🦭 bags. We’re the temperature can’t over shoot above 5-10 degrees or alarms will shut down the system till it reaches setpoint. Time so money in manufacturing

Is offset not the same as steady state error? 100% PB results in a gain of 1 i.e. gain = 100/PB so if the PB is too low i.e. high system gain, a proportional only controller will be unstable and oscillate, some Derivative can be added to allow a lower PB and improve system response time as derivative action acts on the rate of change of the error signal this tends to counter act the tendency to oscillate.

Hello sir , I thing the PD controller have the property that steady state error is not effected to PD controller ..amd you mentiom in that video the PD has problem of steady state error...can you justify this
