Mortal Kombat 11 for the Switch runs and looks great. Really impressive for the hardware. I believe Mortal Kombat 1 has the potential to look even better than that game, but NetherRealm Studios has some work to do. The launch version of MK1 has several bugs and an update can't come soon enough. What are your thoughts?

It does, but I had plenty of times where it bogged down and wasn’t so smooth. So far the ratios for both are about the same. I’m hoping they can patch up the bad renderings for mk1 soon… but until then I’ll make it work.

They literally just copied pasted mk1 to switch and thought no one would notice😂

MK 11 looks better than MK 1

Switch version feels like WB told NR they had to do it. They said "Thats not a good idea"...WB said "Not your choice"....so they lowered everything as far as they could with out building a whole new game as switch performance just not there.

To be fair MK1 and 11 don't look THAT drastically different on switch. Yea some characters like Johnny Cage look awfully strange and MK1's levels look a lot more busy with higher effects than 11's, so it's lowering the resolution scaling quite a bit in the backgrounds... but overall I can understand this being how it is, not ONLY for laziness. Maybe they shouldn't charge 70 but this is the spot we're at with the switch. Its why there hasn't been ports of other AAA games in a while......I mean yea I know patches are on the way but also we gotta remember mk1 is built for another gen than 11 was, scaling back this time was definitely even harder.

Yoshi's Crafted World also is in Unreal Engine 4 and its very impressive. Seems more so like the 2 devs, not NR bc they had nothing to do with the Switch version, just dropped the ball here. Maybe they were pressed for time and that's why it doesn't have the polish it needs? I'm sure it will run great after updates. But this launch will hurt the sales of the switch version in the long run. Which is a shame considering how well MK11 sold on the Switch.

it should be illegal to sell a game that runs this poorly
