Comparing Saskatoon & Regina: 6 Reasons Why Regina is Better Than Saskatoon - Regina vs. Saskatoon

In this video I am going to outline 6 ways in which I think Regina is a better city than Saskatoon. A couple days ago I posted a video on why I think Saskatoon is better than Regina, and I wanted to switch it up and talk about some of the cool features of Regina. This is my opinion and you may not agree with my points or you may have different things you like about the city.
The prairie region of Canada is rapidly growing and many people are moving to Saskatchewan from within Canada and outside the country. Saskatoon and Regina are the 2 biggest population centers in the province and most people move to one of these cities if they are moving to Saskatchewan. Saskatoon is the biggest city in the province and Regina, "The Queen City", is the capital. I thought it might be useful to someone considering moving to Saskatchewan if I did a couple videos comparing the 2 cities.
Honestly I prefer Saskatoon over Regina overall, but I have spent quite a bit of time in Regina over the years and I even lived there for a couple months for work. The city has many fantastic qualities and I think it is a bit underrated!
In this video I talk about the following ways in which I think Regina is actually better than Saskatoon:
1: Better pizza
2: Better sports
3: More parkland
4: Closer to Saskatchewan politics
5: Better museums
6: Robin's donuts
If you're from Regina I'm sure you can think of more reasons, but these are some of the big ones for me. Please leave your comments below, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Saskatoon vs. Regina debate! If you're interested in watching more of my content in general please consider subscribing to my channel, I'm new to KZread and this really helps me out!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback - I can actually give you a very brief rundown on those points: In terms of weather, Saskatoon is more moderate - Regina gets a bit colder in the winter and a bit warmer in the summer. But they have similar weather patterns and both are relatively sunny. The transit system is way better in Saskatoon - Saskatoon is considerably bigger than Regina and their transit system has about twice as many bus routes and more city coverage. Rental prices are similar between cities, but actually lately the rentals have been slightly less expensive in Saskatoon. More living option in the central core of that city too. Hope that helps, cheers!

Was born in Saskatoon in the late 1960s so I don't remember much about it. But I lived in Regina for about 9 years before I moved to Alberta in the late 1970s so I remember Regina well from wascana park to seeing the Saskatchewan Roughriders but to compare the two I guess I would have to one day make a visit to Saskatoon.

Saskatoon pizza hall of fame all from the 80s and maybe early 90s - Ninos Broadway location only. Salonika Inn 8th Street. Geno's on 8th also. Venice House sometimes. Tried to order from Santa's Pizza once on Christmas eve and they were closed.

My dad's family is from here (Regina) we moved here in 1999 . My dad would tell me all the time you don't know a pizza until you've had a pizza pie from Regina! We have amazing pizza!! If you have the chance I suggest Jimmy's Pizzeria!!! Jimmy's is a greek family owned establishment, amazing food all around so many options and hearty portions so left overs for next day!

Saskatoon has one location that makes trifons pizza. Also you are missing Trifons pizza. Houston pizza changed there sauce and isn't as flavorful as it once was, eat it at the restaurant, it becomes Soggy when you get it delivered. Western pizza is very good but I have found Trifons sause the best. Best trifons is 9th ave north and board st. Location.

Nice video. Have a word about the "Regina" style pizza. "Greek" might be a better descriptor. Afaik, the Greek brothers that you refer to opened 3 restaurants in Moose Jaw and one in Regina. One of their sons has opened another since then. These days the only original location left is Rodo's in Moose Jaw on 9th Ave SW, the son owns The Mad Greek on Main. You haven't lived until you've had medium or large Rodo's pizza. It's the original, accept no substitutes lol. Their other food is also very good. That being said. You're bang on about Houston's on Hill Ave. Best pie in the city. Nice bit about Robin's Donuts too. It is much better than Timmy's these days. Regina's biggest downfalls are twofold. A huge crime problem saddled with a lack of political will at the provincial level to address the root causes of criminality which exasperates the problem. I just found your channel on a couple of days ago and I really like your content irt the Prairie cities. Subbed.

Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback - thanks for the Rodo's recommendation, I'll actually be in Moose Jaw this summer I'll definitely stop by. I'll be traveling through Regina too and I plan on grabbing some more Houston pizza and Robin's donuts and iced coffee. I appreciate the support, yeah I definitely focus on the prairie region of Canada - my favorite area - but I'd like to gradually expand my scope over time. Cheers!
