My Germany buddy, as a consultant said that Indonesia is very challenging, is not easy doing build the telecom, electrical, road infrastructure in Indonesia. Not like India, Brazil or South Africa as the subcontinent country, Indonesia has 17.000 more islands, and 6.000 more are habitant. It's not easy connecting whole of islands, nature challange, roughest sea, volcanic mountains, with thousand ethnic groups and local languages. with a million complex problems How Indonesia become in one nation. He was still amaze.

Indonesia as a country that is belittled, but has begun to rise from its slumber. Many ordinary people do not know that Indonesia initially had a very good economy in the world, even the first to start the world's largest trading industry named Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie but went bankrupt in 1799. Many do not know the history of the Indonesian economy. Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie's head office at that time was in Indonesia, not the Netherlands, when it went bankrupt in 1799 when the Dutch kingdom took over. That's the history. Other countries can learn from Indonesia, which is slowly starting to recover its economy. Greetings from Russia.

This guy argument was on the spot. Indonesian government actually choose stability over growth. But that doesn't mean our economic will not grow, this action will keep the stability and slowly grow our economic. By choosing stability will reduce the inflation rate. In fact indonesia is one of the lowest inflation rate in the world. So this law will greatly help us in the long term plus avoiding the recession unlike any other capitalists country in the future.

One of Nigeria's main problem is that they had a 30-ish year long of dictatorship and even after it was done, the country still have not managed to fully transitioned into a proper democracy (unlike Indonesia which miraculously managed to transitioned relatively well). So yeah, f*ck off, you New Order worshippers should just go to North Korea if you like stability that much.

One thing about poverty rate. Indonesian govt is kinda cheating. They set the poverty standard to a low measurement, so that's why the poverty rate looks not bad. Some Indonesians is still unable to acces basic amenities, such as electricity, sanitation, transportation, internet, higher education, medical services, etc. But I think Indonesian govt is aware of the situation, and work hard to address the problems.

Cheating? The median household that define poverty in Nigeria, it is N137.400 = 334 USD/year = 0,91 USD/day = Rp 13.628/day, according to Nigerian own standard 40,1% of its people is poor. While Indonesian in March 2021 according to BPS Rp 472.525/month = 15.750/day = 1,19 USD/day, according to Indonesian standard 10.14% of its people lived below poverty line. Now, Every country has its own definition of poverty mostly based on their citizen purchasing power parity. If you want equal comparison, search for "Nigeria Poverty World Bank" and "Indonesia Poverty World Bank". World Bank use 1.90 USD/day to define poverty. In Indonesia it's 12,4% and Nigeria 82,5% of its people lived below that line. Now, would you please elaborate, which part do you think as cheating? It's ok to become government opposition, Indonesian government need opposition, but please, be smart and always check your data first.
