Would you rather choose a vehicle that is all gasoline, a hybrid, a hybrid that you can also plug in, or a battery-powered electric vehicle? Jeff

Depends on the amount if miles you can get on EV only. I think this Prime is the vehicle that's positioned in a perfect spot to make most people happy. That 2.5L engine is what throws me off. Hopefully there will be a 4Runner prime 😆.

I put down a deposit & have been waiting over 12 months for my South Carolina dealer to be able to order a RAV4 Prime XSE. Was told yesterday by the dealer that it may be another 3 or 4 years before this car becomes available in this state. Found an XSE listed on the Internet in Maryland, but the price is $10k over the sticker price. Heck of a way to sell cars!

Just a friendly tip: Hello Everyone watching this video. When filling up your gas, after the pump turns off, DO NOT TOP OFF YOUR TANKS! There is a vapor line that will fill up with the over flow of gas and cause big problems! 1 the tank will no longer fill up 2 your gauge will not be correctly reading gas levels. 3 It will cost you money to get lines cleared and you might ruin your vapor reservoir tank…””Expensive to replace.” I speak from experience. Oh and it’s not covered, as it not a defective issue… other then that, I LOVE MY RAV4 2021 XSE Prime!

The only thing I like better about the SE than the XSE is the SE has a shorter turning diameter than the XSE. The SE's turning diameter is only 36.1' (shorter wheels!). The XSE's turning diameter is 37.4', which can make u-turns in tight city streets harder. I wish we had the option of the beautiful XSE style wheels but in an 18" size, so that the XSE can have the 36.1' turning diameter like the SE.

Yesterday the wife and I drove a RAV4 hybrid at Toyota Of Kent, Ohio. My wife currently owns a 2015 RAV4 and wanted to get into a hybrid. After telling the dealership we were interested in purchasing a 2022 Prime XSE we were told that we would most likely wait a year for one and pay 10 grand over MSRP. No friggin way, I’ll buy a Lexus or Tesla first. It’s a shame some dealers are so damn greedy. Toyota better wise up and get this dealer gouging under control before they get a black eye.

Plus it doesn't say it on the sticker or under the touchscreen. thinking you just mispoke.. I drove an SE and it sounded like the worst stereo you could ever put in a 40K vehicle. Would definitely require and audio upgrade.

The only reason I didn't go with XSE was the 19 inch wheels. Ideally I would love to have 17" wheels with lots more rubber and slightly higher ground clearance so that those living in the boonies could easily navigate deep mud wheel tracks without damaging the oil pan or the battery from underneath. But I guess Toyota made this one for the city folks only....What's the point having "Trail" mode when your ground clearance is barely 8 inches. C'mon Toyota, give us an option to choose variants with at least 12 inches of ground clearance.

Finally a sensible outlook of tire size, the bigger tire sizes are also far more prone to blowouts, wear out faster and can do damage to one's back (rough ride). The larger tires have no benefits except that most people don't know the impact of larger tires and just like the ways it looks.

If you want a long life out of tires and rims always go with less metal and more rubber, the ride comfort is like difference between night and day...and your whole steering, suspension drivertrain will also last much longer due to more cushioning effect of thicker side walls.

How much does it habdle being left overnight, unplugged, in the cold? If it's plugged in, can you have it pre-warm up or pre cool at a certain time in the morning?

I would rather have the SE but with leather. The SE having cloth is the only thing that would keep me from getting the SE. Keep all other features the same, while just making it leather and I would buy one today.

Strange, I just got my SE and it came with roof bars and sun/moon roof as well. Any reason why? I'm not complaining. :0)

Yours, like mine, has the weather package. Jeff was doing a min/max comparison. The SE was bare bones and the XSE was maxed out.

JEFF: I live in Lynnwood, Washington and for some reason, The RAV4 PRIME is not available here. What are the chances of ordering it thru you and having it delivered here in Seattle along with all the usual TOYOTA shipments that do come in to my state??? If you could intercede for me, would you instead of regular customers in North Carolina??? These are made in Japan (letter "J" in the serial number) and the shortest route to you is thru my state. Would really appreciate this huge favor. Always have been with Toyota's, quality, reliability, mileage, and performance. I have a 2014 Scion and a 2019 Tacoma. Getting old, 79 and 75 as of today. Would like to avail ourselves of all the safety features in today's cars but not just any handy car available, one I can trust. Would appreciate your favor and reply. Stay safe, GOD BLESS!!

Toyota is weird with their options packages. $40k should give you just about everything, except leather, pano roof, and big wheels. So I gotta go XSE with premium package XSE just to get the 1500W inverter? Stupid. Should be in the $40k sticker version.

One thing I don't like about the XSE is 19" vs 18" in SE. The ride is much stiffer and at a higher price.
