Compact Dust Collection Cart | Dustopper Cyclone, Ridgid Shop Vac
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I'll show you how I made a compact, all-in-one dust collection cart with a Dustopper cyclone separator and a Ridgid shop vac. The build was easy and fun. I'll show you how to keep the build at around $120 for a tight budget. As well as the idea of adding an automatic power tool/vacuum switch to the cart. Thanks for watching!

Sweet build. The ending montage is awesome. Helps make the build feel more realistic

That's the great part about this dust cart - anyone can make it!
Hey man, nice work. I'm getting ready to build mine, here's how I measured my "bucket hole"...place bucket upside down, block-up a framing square to the level the bucket will sit, use another square or straight edge to touch off of the other side...a quickie vernier caliper.

The auto-switch was awesome, the only one I've seen, and trust me I've watched a bunch, lol

Cool man. And thanks!
5 3/4 inch radius hole for bucket.
Great video, I will use it to build my own for sure! Any chance you could add the Home Depot links to the PVC pipe and fittings?

Sure! I just went ahead and put them in the description!
8:12 The Dustopper comes with two elbows now. They must've had a lot of complaints.
The 2' coupling doesn't fit too snug on the Rigid casters. Did you make any adjustments to get a snugger fit? Thanks

Mine fit just fine. But you could wrap a couple layers of duct tape on the inside or outside if needed.

@@noelg9769 thanks for responding! I’ll give that a try.
I have a problem where I don’t have the rigid shop vac instead I have the craftsman cap 16 gallon. Pipes don’t fit in wheels

You can try out different size PVC pipe and couplings to see if something fits. Just take a look in your local hardware store.
Has anyone figured out a way to put the dust collector "inside" the shop vac? That would be the most space savings.

This guy has worked on that idea: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIqBq6SkmaXOZps.html

@@noelg9769 Thanks for sharing that. I wonder why they just don't sell that option (unless it's a licensing thing)...
I built the same setup and it is so top-heavy I can't pull it around the garage without it tipping over. I will need to build a wider base.

I just pull it from one of the pvc pipes each time I move it. But yeah man, whatever works for you.
Is the cement and primer necessary?
@noelg9769

You could give it a shot without the cement and primer, just a friction fit. Might be alright. And if it turns out to be too wobbly, just cement it after.
“Definitely not OSHA approved” 😂😂
Holy Hell!!!! Your into is absurdly loud.
