So true about inkjets getting clogged up. If you use ink replacements (which of course are a lot cheaper), depending on a model it might even not be able to unclog them properly. So you end up effectively paying much more for the ink that it would seem on paper.

My 5 year old laser type B&W all in one printer still has the starter cartridge that came with the printer. Guess I'm not a very high volume user. That HP looks nice, Lon.

The HP Software should tell you the all time pages you have printed.. It also gives you an indication of your generell usage which is always interesting to know.. For example I am a 100 page a year printer user.. :D

Here in Canada the toner cartidges are about $CDN230 each and the drum is about $CDN300. So a complete toner change will be over $CDN 1100 and with the drum will be about 1500. That needs to be budgeted for. The costs are similar for other laser printers. so your TCO per year for an averae business wil be about $1500 a year in it intended market.

GOOD REVIEW

I have a 3 year old hp office Pro inkjet. No problems with ink and always prints great even after 2 weeks without printing. Duplex printings. Fax and prints excellent photos on photo paper. Takes up about the same as this printer. One item that most people are unaware of is the laser printer fuser. This part can be damaged and does have a shelf life. It will need to be replaced one day. That said most users just replaced the printer when that day comes :)

Can you please review a color laser printer which can print A3 paper? If that printer doesn't have any scaner? No problem. And thank you very much for you videos. I really enjoy these videos.

It's an entry level color laser MFP, you can't expect it to feature auto duplexing for this price point.

11 year HP color laser printer onwer .. I say no.. Not even close.. forget it.. Laser printers are office workhorses, they are superior with text, documents, even the cheapest laser printers are very good in that.. If you dont print out photos that often, printing them out at (professional) stores is a very cheap and stress free option..

Costs per page on a laser printer tends to be cheaper than an inkjet printer. I have the HP MFP178nw. It is nearly identical to the Samsung small form factor color laser printer (not a multi-function) in every way. That was why I bought it. Proven reliability with ease of use. The image quality you get from a laser printer is the same or better than what you can get from an inkjet printer of the same print resolution. Mine is 600x600 dpi tops. Laser printers don't have the problem of feathering or over saturation (resulting in paper waving or ripples) of the page like inkjets do. Laser printers don't develop lines of missing ink in the page like inkjets do. Laser printers don't print one line at a time in single pass or bidirectional passes. They print the whole page similar to how commercial printing presses do. You failed to identify what the default settings are. What is the dpi of the print out, is eco-mode (ink saver) used, was it in standard, business, photo modes, what type of paper was chosen as the default vs the actual type of paper that was used? The online photo might have been at 72 dpi which is a common practice. You failed to identify the image resolution of the pictures or graphics used in the webpage. You didn't demonstrate all the print quality settings or features of the machine. You didn't demonstrate a comparison between a comparable inkjet printer for quality of output and speed out output for each type of setting. You also didn't directly compare the scanning, copying, faxing performance of this model with a similarly spec'd inkjet MFP. The norm for inkjet printer manufacturers is to quote a 5 percent coverage area per color when determining the highest print yield. Look for the * or other similar qualifying marks because that is usually tied to default settings. Default settings are often draft mode, eco-mode, ink/toner saver mode, or generally the lowest setting that gives adequate results in trade for faster print speeds. That 4800 DPI scan mode sounds more like interpolation which is a know scam. The optical scan / print resolution is what matters. Copiers use 300 dpi. So copy mode might also use 300 dpi which of course results in a lower quality image/copy.

8:00 is that actually required anymore? I own a business and I have a couple of HP LaserJets and on Windows 10 I've just had to go to the settings app, devices, and the printer would show up right there. I would select it and it would set it up in a minute or two. On Linux it just shows up, sometimes I have to install hplip but usually not.

You Neglect to Mention that the printer is actually a Samsung C460w or CLX3305fw

Clearly, like most devices, this is a loss-leader device if the first set of consumables cost as much as the printer! And... you claim your advertiser is cheaper than Amazon. Amazon is $100 lower than MSRP (ship and sold by Amazon, not 3P). Your advertiser is $2 below MSRP as of 8/26/2019.

You reviewed this too late for me. I have the same printer mechanism in my Samsung C480, dissapointing time-to-time.

No auto duplex printing on a MFP in 2019? That's hot garbage...

At least with a network connection just put it’s IP in browser to see the web wiki page to make changes to setup the wireless connection connection!

This paper tray sticking out of the printer is ridiculous. It was enough for me to not listen further and scratch that model from my check list.

haha I have this printer (Samsung C460FW) before HP took over Samsung.

Hp bought over Samsung printers. Multiple Samsung mono and colour printers are rebranded as HP

very expensive , bcz only 1000 pages and cartridge is about 50 dollars/180 United Arab Emirates dirhams.

11:40 that’s when I decided not to buy this looking at Colour print quality v/s price

If you're in the market for one of these find something different. The software is poor and the biggest killer is toner. I paid £200 for a set of cartridges and used for light domestic printing that's two sets per year!

Brother is way better monochrome will work better this color stuff is just another way to make you pay more money for no reason
