I started watching your videos with, one of many, Bill Gates interviews. I learned so much from your dissection from that one interview that it lead me down a path to listen to more reviews. This is the first time I have commented and maybe the last, but I wanted to than you now in case I don’t do so later. Your instructions from the interviews and speeches have helped me in commenting on different KZread channels and I’m sure they have helped others to whether it be interviews, speeches or even commenting as I do. Once again, I thank you for your knowledge and for sharing your knowledge. God Bless you and yours.

Excellent Review 100% spot on! Great speech, he had everyone hanging on his every word, great body language and movement, he was 'dancing' a bit but i think it added to his speech........like a boxer sizing up his opponent, great voice and he emphasised his accent when he needed to, the stories were great and i love it when people give a bit of themselves and mimic others such as he did for his Dad. He believes in himself and those around him and i bet a lot of people in the audience went away feeling better about themselves or motivated to make a difference by his speech.

"Allright, Allright, Allright" was an ad lib by Matt. He tells a story about listening to The Doors and how Jim Morrison said the phrase between each song on the recording of a live concert. He said it fit right in line with what his character was about, His nice car, having a good high, rock and roll, and women.

"And that friend is YOU"... He's admitting that he knows that his God is self-created. He goes on to say he's his own hero. He believes in having a strong ego. He thanks his mom for demanding he respect himself. Functionally, he's a secular humanist, who believes in himself. The whole God thing is misdirection, a way of appearing humble, despite his message of self- affirmation. Dale Carnegie couldn't have said it any better. Self confidence is the bedrock of charisma.

Authenticity. There's nothing so satisfying as to see someone regardless of position be truly authentic. When he choked up talking about his wife and kids, it was evident he was being fully authentic.

    1. He’s not afraid to call by name, God, or what he believes is his understanding of a higher power. Whether you are a believer or not it’s obvious Mac is. He doesn’t throw any judgement or warnings to others if they don’t believe, he just leaves it out there that his God is his strength. 2. Family. Being that he almost broke up mentioning his wife is a clear indicator that she has helped him tremendously and that he deeply loves and needs her and the things she has brought to him. 3. Southern accents for some reason always seem more sincere. He doesn’t hide it and he actually uses it to convey a genuine feeling that what he is telling you is rock solid and he is grounded enough and secure to the point he is proud of it. Mac appears by all situations to be the real person, what you see is what you get. You cannot fake that.

This review of Matthew McConaughey was very interesting. I appreciate your impression of his authenticity because I have always viewed him as somewhat unauthentic. Makes me question why I see him that way. I think McConaughey's extreme, almost exaggerated, confidence, in your face eye contact and perma smile made him seem disingenuous, untrustworthy, like a used car salesman. But now, after hearing your thoughts, I'm viewing his communication behaviors maybe as more of a goal to strive for. Still processing, though.
