Oh no Alias! Syr Konrad and Mindcrank should have made Dakota mill for each creature Olivia milled from damage. His creatures could have triggered more from her. There was potential for that to have been an endless cycle that would have won you the game.

@Xylasider, I discussed this in an early comment and am curious to hear if you agree with my assessment! They did miss “creature enters the graveyard” triggers (I counted 5) but it wouldn’t have changed the outcome. Dakota’s decklist has only 25 creatures total and he had already invested some to the board and in the graveyard so the creature count remaining in deck was even lower. At that point in the game, he had more than +\- 20 life and/or cards in deck to be milled and wouldn’t have died/decked. Mindcrack and Konrad never go infinite but are far more successful at eliminating opponents when: - You are playing in a full pod (no players have been eliminated) -All opponents are at roughly equivalent life totals (no player drops out early and tanks your odds) -All decks have a high concentration of creatures Unfortunately for Alias one of her opponents was dead, one was playing voltron (basically singleton creature), and her final opponent also had a pretty low creature count (25).

@@michaelbutta4764 Well, obviously Syr Konrad never goes infinite, he stops once there are either no more cards or no more hitpoints among enemies, lul. /s If the cards lie perfectly, he can perfectly end the game with a Mindcrank in a single swing. :D

you guys came out of no where with one of the most consistent commander shows

Pets sitting on the table and constantly moving is the most realistic commander game I have seen online.

True but I believe she played it wrong? when the -3 -3 spell was cast she said she only had a 2/2 and a 2/2 but lightpaws was a 3/3 becaise ethereal armour and it should've died regardless of totem armour because lightpaws would still have less than 0 toughness even if you sacrificed to totem armour, no? (I know the spell isn't permanent)

@@tophattoast4252 Ethereal armour gives +1/+1 for each ENCHANMENT she controls, so is was +2/+2. Her only mistake was calling it a 2/2 when asked ho strong her creatures were. ;)

@@tophattoast4252 horden is correct. Light Paws base stat is a 2/2 which is probably why she said that as she didn’t take into account her Ethereal Armor boost which made it a 4/4. I have my own Ethereal Armor and now I have my eyes on that Light Paws for my Mono White commander. After all when one tries to build a Commander deck around every color scheme you want it to be fun, powerful, and spicy and that Light Paws deck fits the bill perfectly

@@StorytellerCharm You dind't see the video of Brian dealing 11 commander damage to Ben Brode on turn 2, did you? Brian plays every game like he wants it to be over by turn 4. I'm always fine with Olivia going out for him, makes for a fun Roadrunner/Coyote situation.

Brian plays almost every game in such a way as not to take people out right away. And at the same time, he still plays 1 vs 3

Loved seeing her on this episode! Not only is she a lot of fun, her editing skills added so much to this game!

Loved the Hijinks crossover. That was such a wholesome game. I've never seen someone happier to kill Brian, and it was hilarious. This channel rocks! Also, awesome editing, Eilidh!

Ngl, I'm loving this channel because of Brian and Olivia and their interactions between them and the guests of the show. I remember Brian being on Game Knights for an episode and seeing him now is great. Everyone is having so much fun and it warms my heart. I met Dakota at MagicCon: Minneapolis; super cool dude. He signed my Jace playmat and the art piece, which I have since framed =D. That art is one of my absolute favorites! Dakota, you should be super proud of that art. I would have gotten the card signed, but it has been sealed in a slab already 😅 Awesome episode BTW, Brian and Olivia. Of note, I got to meet you too, Olivia, but not Brian, unfortunately 😔. Maybe in MagicCon: Vegas which I am currently saving to attend, haha.

@Comnander At Home: Actually, Brian, the flip side of Thaumatic Compass, Spires of Orazca, is a Maze of Ith that actually taps for 1 colorless mana. So a Maze of Ith that produces mana, actually does exist.

If you look closely, you'll notice a game of Magic: the Gathering is being played underneath the dogs.

Sweet sword, wizardofbarge is pretty cool and draws a sweet elephant, AliasV awesomely edits some epic commander videos and is great on hijinks, yet another great game and commentary!

Yes. Not only this but every creature he mills would trigger more damage and more mills. I believe they missed 5 potential mills (he later milled an additional 5 so would have been 5 deeper) His Isshin deck is pretty creature light (25 creatures total in his list) and he was at a high enough life/library total it wouldn’t have killed or decked him anyhow.

Don’t forget Konrad triggers mind crank, and Bruse gives lifelink. Great stuff

Maze ith can tap for mana from chromatic lantern, urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, but maze ith would be hold alot more

Little known fact: When Heliod ETBs at 10:32, it actually enters untapped but Olivia still gets a life. This is due to a quirk related to replacement effects only partially "looking ahead" before deciding whether to apply or not.

The moment AliasV put out that mindcrank i knew we were the same xD

48:19 I'm quite curious why the Utter End is still the top card of Dakota's graveyard? There was atleast 3 triggers of the mindcrank from Olivia milling and thus it triggered Syr Kongrad+mindcrank. Yep, went back and checked exactly 3 triggers which no one enforced. What a shame, it could have been the difference between the win and the loss. I suppose the only scenario where Ayli could have won would have been if she had saved Brian. Because there was only 2 opponents on the field when she had out her Konrad+Mindcrank combo then that face severely reduced the effectiveness of the combo. XD and Brian kept saying the whole time about how his deck is super creature centric. If his deck had been present for the Konrad+mindcrank combo then it would have likely doomed both Olivia and Dakota, leaving Ayli with the victory.
