Again, it was a pleasure to be on the show! Kibler really Jedi-mind-tricked me by pointing out that sacrificing Elesh Norn would cut down on the power of my Vish Kal swing; for some reason, at the time, that convinced my brain that I couldn't reach 21 power. if I had just gone all-in, though, my commander would have just PERFECTLY reached 21 power to kill Crim! Of course, Brian still would have been able to sacrifice the Lord of Extinction and wipe out Olivia, but I think I would have barely survived, since I would have gained 2 more life, and Crim's graveyard would no longer be contributing to Lord of Extinction's size. Mis-plays are part of Magic... but STILL. Brian, I really should stop listening to your "advice." 😅

I for one hope that Crim gets invited back. The reason is as a D&D player Crim's Bluff checks are the things of legends and it is amazing to see just how far he can go with them. 🤣

This is one of my favorite magic channels. I've watched every episode of this series and I just can't get enough. Yall create a sense of "Home" with every episode and it's wonderful.

Great game! Brian's 'bonkers-face' on Arcane Bombardment was golden, as was the "casual" white-bordered dual-land remark. Chris, as a representative of us, the viewers: good job!

I'm happy to see a Zevlor deck. It was the first commander deck I built and played. Built it around Act of Treason type cards to steal a creature from everyone and then sacrifice them.

As a long time MTG nerd of over 20 years, I genuinely love this content. Brian is an integral part of the competitive MTG landscape, and a fun and wholesome guy. I'm glad this series exists, Brian and Olivia get the best guests and are always entertaining. I'm glad the Prof sent me in you're direction

@@counterpoint1494 It's an interesting corner of rules history. Strictly by the book he might arguably have cheated. (He claimed he thought it was a 'may' ability, which is certainly convenient, but also fully explains his actions in a legal way). But those trigger rules were ambiguous and worse they were fundamentally unenforceable. The trigger rules have changed frequently because they sucked a lot. A couple of years after that PT the rules aligned with what Brian did (and with common sense) and have been that way since.

Always glad to see a new episode of my favorite commander gameplay series. The dynamics are always awesome. On a side note, I rewatched the old episode of Game Knights earlier that Brian was on. Didn't recognize him without the beard and longer hair.

When I played Magic as a kiddo with my dad, one of my favorite cards to play was always Bribery. Oh boy, what a legendary, disgusting move to copy that beautiful spell! I could sense the immense satisfaction from casting it, only by becoming a witness to it. Ty guys!

Crim is legit my favorite online content creator... He is pretty much always the problem whenever I see him in a pod on anything, and I LOVE IT!

These are so entertaining! Easily my favorite commander series on KZread, Game Knights is great but this feels way more genuine and is funnier for sure

I'm so disappointed that Crim didn't attack with Zevlor on turn 2. 😆 I chuckled that the close captioning didn't pick up Olivia's stage whispered, "Go to hell, Crim."

Crim & Jacob Bertrand combo would be so wild and I think there would be too much banter to have a coherent game but I want it so badddd

I'm glad Chris has a Flumph in his deck. It's one of the best cards to come out of Forgotten Realms. I have it in my Doran deck and it does some work

I absolutely love this podcast. I watch so many commander games. Game Knights introduced me to you guys and love their show but this is my favorite. Family (I count the dogs) and friends make this great. Everyone talking at the same time makes it relatable. Thank you for this show.

@@Matheus_Prof Zevlor can be slow, and I tend to be arch-enemy from playing steal and hand destruction. If I can survive the hate Din of the Fire Herd and River's Rebuke have won me games.

Crim is by far my favorite guest for this show. His chaos works so well.

Crim: *plays his 4 mana commander turn 1* Also Crim: “I smell R A M P” Also also Crim: *steals the green player’s mana ramp*

Crim can Cruel Ultimatum me anytime 😌. It is challenging to be a proper archenemy and I respect that line of play.

I just built a Hinata deck that i'm thrilled to try and watching Crim's deck i get a lot of vibes like that, I love the idea

This is the Best introduction of any commander shows put there. It really encompasses what companionship from MTG is. Just delightful

Intense competition for most humble farmer

For all of Crim's opposition agent infamy, this is actually the first time I'm seeing him cast it! The prophecy has been fulfilled, and to stop the thing he hates the most, tutoring up forests. Love it!

I'm not sure how popular an opinion this is, but I think the mtg art mcneil made is gorgeous. It's possible to hold concurrent ideas that a person might be effed up, and that some things they bring into this world can be beautiful. There is michael jackson the predator, and michael jackson the thriller. When I was a wee lad, long before I even thought about art or artists, that wispy, flowing style was some of the art that inspired me to love this game. Those circles of protection are incredible. Everyone, do what makes you happy, have other artists copy over them if you'd like, but I will love the art even if I can't love the artist.

Man the intro to this series is always bittersweet for me. It reminds me of the good ole days when my apartment was packed with my buddies on a Saturday night and we'd hang out, eat food, have some drinks and play some seriously intense 8 player commander games. We haven't done that in years (yay adult responsibilitie) but those were some seriously great times.

Despite the audio processing beeing allready pretty good maybe you could through some absorbers on the ceiling, to make it even better. Don't have to be very thick ones, but maybe it would help.

Is it intentional that there is no deck list for the old stick fingers that Kibler used? Would love to make a deck like that. I've been a fan of magic for a long time and this channel has been so fun to watch and listen to.

​@@Matheus_Prof Few different things, I run Ral Storm Conduit and a few "copy target instant/sorcery spell" spells like Twincast, Expansion // Explosion, etc., they can go infinite with Ral and kill your opponents. Also I run Worst Fears, because generally when you get to Mind Slaver each opponent one after the other, its enough to win or get extremely close to winning. If tghe game gets very close and all players are low life totals, a big copied Banefire does the trick too! Also, my Zevlor deck is definitely not as optimised as it could be, there are probably way better win-cons than I have in my deck, that I didn't think of.

Installment number 6 these are great to help me teach my fiancé in and outs of the ways of magic and just fun to watch keep up the great content guys !!!!

Crim is always a joy to see on here. If only because Olivia doesn't even need to threaten to drive to his house for violence. She just has to reach across the table. 😅 I love Arcane Bombardment, but it requires way too much mental bandwidth for me, especially since it was in my Spellslinger deck, which means I was using it literally every turn. I want a copy of Unity Taco Sylvan Library. I also want alternate art for my Soul Barriers (only card I have with art from that artist). Elspeth continues to be a Mimic that took the form of a Mop. 🥰 Also, doggo in the lap equals a game win for Brian. Objectively, if he ever has a doggo in his lap during the game, he wins.

I met Crim at Magic Con. He is a lovely, cinnamon roll of a human. He is also a filthy blue player. No wonder Olivia was fed up in the thumbnail...
