Comma Splices and How to Fix Them | English Writing Essentials | Common Punctuation Errors

What are comma splices, and how can we fix them? In this lesson, I'll teach you how to identify a comma splice in a sentence and three different ways to fix them. A comma splice is when two independent clauses are incorrectly joined by a comma to make one sentence. If you don't know what an independent clause is, I will also explain that in my lesson!
We can fix comma splices by adding a conjunction, adding a semicolon, or making separate sentences.
At the end of my lesson, we'll have a practice session where you will have to identify comma splices and fix them.
