Comma Splices and How to Fix Them | English Writing Essentials | Common Punctuation Errors
What are comma splices, and how can we fix them? In this lesson, I'll teach you how to identify a comma splice in a sentence and three different ways to fix them. A comma splice is when two independent clauses are incorrectly joined by a comma to make one sentence. If you don't know what an independent clause is, I will also explain that in my lesson!
We can fix comma splices by adding a conjunction, adding a semicolon, or making separate sentences.
At the end of my lesson, we'll have a practice session where you will have to identify comma splices and fix them.

"who" "who is not an English native speaker..." "Which" is used to designate inanimate objects, whereas "who" designates people (or person).

There are times where I read sentences that have comma splices. Is it possible that books, particularly novels, do not always have correct punctuations?
