i usually don’t comment on videos but i just had to, i’m 16 and i’m a straight female and this honestly broke my heart. the fact that you have to be “scared” or “afraid” of something you literally cant control just because of society saddens me so much. i cant imagine going through this, and you guys are so strong (i watched part 1 aswell).knowing that people you love most, your family and friends, not accepting you for who you are is terrifying. i hate that we’re living in a world where this is not normalised and people are still SCARED of being themselves. a world where being different is considered as a “bad” thing. considering how this is considered a taboo in india & in other parts of the world, i’m so glad this channel exists to bring awareness and let people know they’re not alone, because sometimes all you need is somebody to accept you & be there for you. i’m so glad both of y’all are in better places right now and you were strong enough to share your story. you’re accepted, loved and validated and you matter and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. for anyone in the closet, i hope you come out on your terms and are treated the way you deserve to be treated, just like the rest of us. i love y’all and thank you for this:) loud and proud always. for anyone in the closet, im fucking proud of you and i love you and know you’re going to be just okay although it doesn’t seem like it rn, bcs there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. much love:) please reach out anytime, this is a safe place:)

I wish more parents see this, specially whose kids are queer and they don't wanna accept this ..I really wish them to understand that this is not choice (as my mother thinks) and there is no shame. Guys, you brought me to tears. It's very emotional. I know how hard it must've been for you to show such courage to come out and share it with the whole world. To Atulan's parents: Uncle, Aunty, we can understand how you must be feeling about him coming out and telling you that he is completely different from what you think he was. Also, you might be afraid of what people will say. You may be thinking that 'is it normal?' 'is he sick?' etc. It's okay for you to think that way. Atulan took nearly 25 years to understand himself. So you might need some more time to explore this topic and that's okay. Remember only one thing: Atulan is the same son of yours who has brought you all those little joyous moments, whose naughtiness you adored, who grew up so fast and you may think now is on a 'different' path. Whatever happens doesn't change this reality that he is your loving son and as far as I may say, a very nice human. So, don't stop loving him, cause simply you can't not love him. And about the LGBT topic, here I've found a group of parents of LGBT young people. You can have conversations with them on this topic and share your concerns. Hey Atulan, if your parents need someone of their age to talk to (particularly your mum), I can ask my mum to talk to her or even my fiance's mum. My mum has talked to other fellow gay parents before and helped them understand their gay kids. They are both in Delhi. I hope it gets better and better for you. 💛🏳️‍🌈✨

This talk can really be helpful, I've watched the Hulu series "Love Victor" and there also when the parents find out that their son is queer, one of the parent decided to attend a meeting where other parents with queer child discuss their journey and how did they managed to help themselves as well as their child throughout the whole coming out journey.

I think you are handling your parents well. Giving them time and giving them space to figure it out (not pushing the agenda) is a good approach. Am 32 and Gay. I came out to my parents 6 years ago. It was so hard to see them struggle with understanding the concept essentially. Fortunately, I did not face much awkwardness and the question my father asked was why I had not brought this up earlier and suffered so much all alone. It was such a huge relief to have come out. Now my tight knit circle of family and friends know the truth and it isnt so heavy to deal with anymore. I have never been in any relationship and seeing you guys so much in love with each other really warms me up. More power to you both and wish a lot of great health and happiness!!

It was so sweet to hear about how your brother advocates for you. As a sister I would 1000% prefer that my parents take out their shock on me rather than my sister, to protect her heart. Ideally, parents would talk to a therapist and deal with their issues like adults. 🙄 I'm bi and my sister is trans, so this all hit very close to home. Glad that you are out to them and able to not be afraid anymore ❤️
