That "suicidal thoughts" broke me on a different level, i have never expected divesh went through this. I am so sorry divesh. This shows the reality of LGBTQ community. They are indeed unsafe. You are right, harm is harm, either physical or mental. I wish in future parents open up about it and support their children in every way. I hope people learn that this is normal and LOVE IS LOVE. I totally agree with you Annie. I once went to a debate conference, and I was in a committee called UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council) which was all about discussing about LGBTQIA rights. One of the executive board members was gay and I could clearly see in his eyes how he felt when we discussed about those topics. So I kinda felt like crying at that moment.

It's all about what kind of family you have. If they have above average intelligence, come out in teens. Otherwise finish education, get a job in other city and then inform. Financial independence is essential if you have a dumb family.

We need more of this in our country- a platform where people of the LGBTQ+ community can talk and look upto discussions like this because as you said in our country things are always "swept under the rug". I strongly believe that once we stop conversations from happening, we find excuses (like "oh its just a phase") and not solutions which means accepting people for who they are, regardless of their gender identity and sexual identity. This made me emotional for sure...its not just someone coming out of the gender closet you know...somehow we all live in our closets which are toxic...unhealthy but they wrap us around & we lose the confidence to fight...you're right guys...the people around us are really important... I really feel you two are my friends...so just sharing...I was a victim of abuse from my partner for 3 years...then a beautiful friend arrived & gave me the strength to fight...today I'm out & it was a learning experience for me & it doesn't bring tears anymore...I feel he doesn't deserve it... Don't know why I said all this but really felt like putting out there... Guys if anyone going through anything just surround yourself with people who help you grow...it really helps... And you two beauties...you have us by your side too...anything...anytime...anyday... Lots of love

Just wanted to drop in and say that this video brought me to tears. This is just so wholesome and pure. I love Divesh's poise and incredible honesty throughout this. As someone who has gone and is still going through very similar experiences, I must say that I absolutely agree to every single point that you guys made. Having a strong support system - be it your family, friends, colleagues or even good acquaintances is just so important. We don't get to trust many people these days and I'm glad Divesh found such strong pillars of support around him whom he could trust and open his heart to. heyyyy just found your channel today and thanks so much for your videos and everything you do! this is like the first time i've seen a queer Indian couple and as a young queer Indian myself, it means so much to see that, especially with how conservative and homophobic Indian society can be. i came out to some people a few years ago but they haven't brought it up since so i totally understand the "sweeping under the rug" thing. again, thanks so much for everything you do--it makes me feel like one day, i can be like you two too!! lots of love!! you two are a really cute couple!!

Such rough years! We're very proud and thankful that finally it happened and your families know. I don't know what Atulan's status is like but I get you. Parents accepting their children as they are is the biggest kind of relief. Doesn't matter much who else is on your side but once your parents say those good phrases like I'm proud or I love you the same regardless of anything, this really puts you at ease. Can't wait to listen to you Atulan. Kinda scared too. love love and much love 💜💜💜

I liked how divesh spoke ! Every single thing that he mentioned was so articulate! He did not really blame anybody for his environment like how he said that students around me were not educated about this topic ! There was this guy in my school and I remember how used to be like oh is he gay , he never used to be like that before (this happened around 2017 2018) . It is really important for people to have the knowledge! Most of us don't even know about how they feel what they feel! Also I think that love is love ! It doesn't matters what gender you love ! In Hinduism as well people consider LGBTQ as sin! Even my parents get a little awkward well If I be honest they completely awkward Nd weird when something like this Comes up! But if we see our culture and religion LGBTQ was also there during Mahabharata!
