Legit right now im making articulating wings for a Cas cosplay, what I'm doing is creating a back plate that the wings are attatched to, then I'm cutting a whole big enough for the plate to fit into, into my trench coat, blazer, and shirt and wearing it over a light tshirt to avoid rubbing. There's always a way around things, hope i could be of help :)

My costume is about 30 pounds and designed for an adult. If I had to design a smaller one I would use different feathers, like turkey flats instead of rounds. 2 pounds of feathers should be more than enough.

Pivoted pvc piping with some sort of fishing line to pull and extend the pvc pipe attached on a hinge.
