The live sellers have been trying their hardest to sell as close as they can to 2021 or even 2022 prices. Last few elite sales go on for a bit with crickets. Then they start with the "come on guys make offers" i rememeber when you couldnt even get your comment seen because everyone was stepping over eachother. Its crazy how its changed

Timing has alot to do with picking up a great deal on any given book. I go into it knowing if I do not find a common ground with the seller another opportunity will arise. That being said I dont really haggle down too much if it is close to what Im comfortable jumping in on the book. Great video as usual you are moving to the top of the comic book market content. Oh most definitely agree with that. If you're going to be getting charged 20 to 30% seller's fees to list on heritage, then by far they need to put in their work to promote the hell out of those books, shame on them for listing multiple Batman 1 and Superman one in the same auction

Lawrence, great video & recap of the broader market. You should include in-person shows as well, like your recap of the GS comic show last weekend. Some dealers were willing to make offers, some were so over priced. I'm on a lot of live claim sales with you as well and see where they are willing to bend or not. Most of the bigger sales are going to dealers to be honest, due to bigger buying power than the average collector like me. New topic..weren't there lots of videos in the past as to why are people charging raw books the same as graded? Hmm. You know I'm just picking up some reasonable priced upgrades to my raw FF books where I can find a deal. There shouldn't be FOMO out there for the average guy though. Aside from the big HA sale you recapped, most books there for sale from all avenues, unless you are looking for 8.0 copies and higher of SA or GA copies... Its been an interesting shift the past 2 years for sure. Talk soon. D

A blue label Supe #1 cgc 1.8 sold for 99K USD + auction in UK premium on the 6th June. So that 1.5 looks expensive or the other one cheap.

This report basically shows that it is a buyers market and not a sellers market

I've been on a bunch of IG live sales, and I see what you see, sellers listing over FMV and then offering "deals" to be slightly over FMV. These aren't deals, these are attempted steals. The best deals are still at in person cons, and the smaller ones at that. Or, sellers on FB groups. Some sellers need to understand that the market has changed. I stay away from eBay.

Heritage allows their employees to bid in their auctions which is legal in Texas. There was an ugly shill bidding lawsuit against heritage from a former employee who blew the whistle on their business practices about 15 years ago. After placing a bid, heritage will advise you to bid your max early to avoid being outbid. I did this years ago and won a book just under my max amount to which I felt lucky. Then it happened again to which I felt lucky again, but when it happened a third time I got suspicious. When the lawsuit broke out it explained everything. I now only bid on the floor session day to win the book at a legit price. Is this what happened to the Tec 27 buyer who originally paid over 1 million? He get bid up by employees who were, uh, "interested"? It happened to me 3 times before I caught on and it can happen to a Tec 27 buyer.

Someone bought a 6.5 for $8100 with 55 bidders on June 12th. Over $4000 more than previous sales.
