Ah, John Romita. Yes! When I think of Spider-Man, I picture John Romita's artwork. I'm reading through the Masterworks series now and when it transitioned over to Romita from Ditka, I was like, "Oh yes, there it is!" The transition is interesting because it was only after Romita took over that the storylines became more interesting and there was more going on in Parker's life with Gwen, Harry and company. Not as much before that so I definitely see Romita's influence and what he brought with him to the series when he took over.

@@CVargas202Good chance Bill Finger would've never gotten credit if Kane himself didn't go on record and said Finger did at least half the work near the end of his life. Better late than never I suppose.
R.I.P Stan Lee, que descanse en paz el mejor de todos los escritores de comics
"I have a feeling he´s going to be a very popular hero." And BAM! He was never seen again...
This is so heartwarming to watch. They're just so happy to be hanging out with each other.
What a precious father and son moment here..

reogh They are both fantastic.
The Romitas are quite possibly, the best comic book artists of all time. Absolute legends.
I have so much fun watching this show, its like Stan is hanging out with all his old friends, its like he doesn't even know he's being filmed.
RIP ROMITA SR
JRJR: 'I want to be able to believe it myself...". Exactly. There's detail for its own sake and then there's detail that is for the sake of storytelling and establishing the setting. JRJR is one of my all-time favorites. Very, very rare that he does a less than stellar job regardless of the comic.

I’ve heard people say that his current spider-man work is bad but I disagree.
RIP, JR Sr.
I consider these great artists to be on par with any of the more celebrated 'artists' you would see in major galleries, as my gf said while watching Romita Snr draw MJ , ' He didn't even need a model to work from'. Genius in my book.
A legend 🔥
Rest in Power than John Romita Senior
John Sr. did the version of Spider-Man from my childhood. That image was used for everything from toys to shirts.
Rip Stan Lee.
At 23:22 they are talking about creating Monica Rambeau. And now she is on WandaVision. Incredible. 😀
The girl in the thumnail drawing is very hot! Thanks for the memories Mr Romita!!
gah three legends in one video! also,, that MJ is THICC
06:57 Stan: Nobody can do their best work... unless they are doing it the way they want to do it. Yes, Stan, Nuff' said!!!!
2 of my favourite artists. Love Sr's Spiderman and Jr's Daredevil Man Without Fear.
The rapport is fantastic.
R.I.P John Romita Sr
Definitely my favorite episode. Great people in this episode
24:00 I think John Romita SR drew Spiderman better than anyone. When I think Soidey I think of his stuff: hot MJ, College era muscular Spiderman, strong colourful panels and just brilliant action

Wow he drew that female character in only a few minutes so flawlessly.
Its just to cute to see this dad and son bonding, you can see that jr jr loves his dad, its just lovely
Only Ditko could create Spider-Man, only Romita could take Spider-Man to the next level. I heard that somewhere and it really is true.
Wow! Just amazing and quite moving to see those legends drawing like it was nothing...
These people are so darn happy to be doing what they're doing I somehow ended up smiling all the way through.
RIP Stan Lee
that angle of the running figure..typical romita jr. style make no mistake i've seen it so many times..lol!
What a great video. John Romita Sr. is my all time favorite comic book artist, and John Jr. is another artist that I really like a lot. The two of them make a great team, too!
Brilliant stuff. That Veronica Lake drawing was phenomenal! Veronica Lake was the first ever comic to have the comic code authority seal of approval on as well!
God bless, John Romita Sr. I love his Spider-Man comic art. 🙏🏾

He was always just John Romita to me. Greatest Spider-Man artist ever. RIP.
Like Father, Like Son. R.I.P. John Romita, Sr. (1930-2023)
RIP you absolute legend.
Romita Jr. with a mullet is the coolest thing you'll ever see.
Romita Sr. inks are unbelievable!
This has to be the best combination of commentary I have seen in a long time!
I'm just outraged Hollywood still hasn't made that feature length Shotgun film after all these years!
Dude, now I gotta look for a copy of Strange Tales #1.
What a joy to watch!!!!😀😀😀😀😃😃😄😄 Thank you for putting this up. I recently read the Comic Creators interview/overview of J.R Snr & it brought the same smile to my face. What a lovely man! Stan was on top form too. Stan genuinely ADMIRED Johnny Romita & it certainly comes across. His son is such a talent now! Highly regarded with his own distinctive style! A real "Cool-School" here!
Rest in peace John Romita, you and Stan where suck good sports, rest easy.
When John romita was drawing it and Stan Lee was writing it, Spider-Man was the greatest comic in the history of comics. That's why this video is the greatest video in the history of videos ☺️
What a wonderful duo the Romita's were/are. Marvel was blessed.
I believe JRJR is the best! Met him once at a comic shop on Melrose in LA and he was fantastic guy! He is more talented than the press gives him credit for.

Stan Lee talking about people in the movie business being interested in comics.. Now look at how it is after how many Spider-man. Very interesting to see how comics have evolved and to see the original "comic book greats" doing their thing
Rip Stan lee
My love for comics began when a friend in the 7th grade showed me his back issues of the Amazing Spider- Man #50 "Spider-Man no more" my jaw dropped, eventually I would collect all the John Romita Sr backissues

Similar for me. A friend dragged out a box of yard-sell, beat up, Marvel comics for me to see in 1972. I was 16, I was never the same.
Both Romitas' are legends. Always preferred Romita's Mary Jane to anyone elses. Something about here just seemed so spirited and realistic.
Shotgun best marvel character unforgettable truly a masterfully crafted and designed character.... Who is he?
Fascinating! Within a unique sense..
I saw John Sr. and Stan at a comic convention in south Florida in the 90's. That was a lot of fun. I always loved John Sr's. art, but seeing what a great father and son relationship the Romita's have I'm even more impressed.
It baffles me how people could give this a thumbs down.

This should have been a tv series. Great episode.
Junior's masterpiece was that rockin' mullet. I've never seen something so lush and perfect. If only I can achieve something so full-bodied.
Wow, those pencil strokes are a beautiful thing to see!
This is terrific to watch. Thank you!

The part at 30:25 where Stan says, "He did the work, I took the credit" ..Yep, that's Stan Lee all over. Just look at the credit he's taking for all these movies that are coming out.. Sure he wrote a lot of the stories way back in the day, but without the real talents of people like Steve Ditko, John Romita, Gil Kane, Jack Kirby etc., the characters that everyone knows today wouldn't be nowhere near as popular as they are. Great upload though - really enjoyed it!

what a beautiful moment.
3 greats artists!
One of my heroes in the industry (Sr.). I've always loved this episode of the Greats. Sorry to hear of his passing.
JR Senior mentioned Klaus Jansen! A great inker over Frank Miller on Daredevil who took over the pencils and inks and no one could tell the difference!
